About: While I don't have any professional experience, I have lived with animals my whole life including dogs, cats, budgie, fish and others. I love taking great care of my pets and making sure they receive lots of love, Ill do the same while taking care of yours.🤍 I am just finishing my marketing studies so I am fully flexible with my schedule from early morning till late evening, any day in the week. Just like with my cat, I will make sure your pet is fed, bowls/trays are cleaned and they get the attention they need. I pay attention to any signs of health issues and I am always available to let you know how they are doing. I strongly believe the owner gets to make every decision about their pet, so I will make sure to listen to your instructions and follow them out strictly. While I do own a pet, I am not able to provide the service of caring for one in my home due to landlord restrictions.

About: Full-time animal lover hoping to help you take care of your pet! I have a great deal of experience pet-sitting in other people's homes all over Ireland for up to 5 weeks while they are away. These pet-sits have included various animals including dogs and cats to birds, fish, and reptiles. They also included rescues and animals with medical regimens, so I am well used to providing care for animals with additional physical or psychological needs. I am a psychologist by trade, and believe I am equally as attentive in spotting early signs of distress in animals. I love to hike and do jiu jitsu, so and am well able to walk any number and size of pet. I know how much exercise some pets need, so am more than willing to take your pets on longer walks or hikes of up to 5-6 hours. I have taken my own and friend's dogs hiking several times in the past, and they always have the time of their lives! I have a lifetime of animal care behind me, growing up on a farm with cattle, sheep, pigs, dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, and chickens. My dad is also an animal pregnancy scanner, so I am used to all sorts of animals! I used to work part-time for a pet farm, gaining experience in the care of everything from alpacas to emus, goats, rabbits, geese, and ferrets. My family had an old english sheepdog growing up, so I am well-used to basic grooming. My aunt used to keeps bees and I helped her growing up, crystalising this as a dream of mine for the future. I live in a shared house, so unfortunately cannot offer services in my home. However, I am more than happy to take your pet for a walk somewhere close to your home, to drop-in to your pet while you are away, or stay in your home for 24-hour care. Happy to meet you and your pets before we start working together to ensure that we are a match. Feel free to message me and we can discuss what plan will work best for you and your pet :) I am currently working part-time as a psychology researcher with flexible hours. I then provide pet services with my remaining hours, or if you want me to stay at your house I might bring my laptop with me. When in your home I will respect the needs of your pet, as outlined by you. I am happy to stay for longer durations and beyond Waterford if needed.

About: I have owned 2 dogs myself a King Charles and a border collie. My collie was a rescue who was very nervous and anxious so I am great with nervous dogs. I also help with my dad’s large golden retriever who is a senior dog, and I love being around any dog big or small no matter what breed. I am currently unemployed and available 7 days a week for day time dog sitting or nights in the owners property. I am available daily for dog walking also. I have a fenced and gated back garden that is spacious for dogs to run around and play, and a big field where all the neighbourhood dogs are walked and play together. I live close to the nature park and many nature trails. I am good with nervous dogs and dogs of all breeds as I have taken care of staffs, golden retriever, labs, rotties, westies and the list goes on. Your pet will have a playmate also

Leah looked after Lexi for a week while we were away. She gave her a good run each day ( something lexi really needs) and kept us updated on how she was getting on. Very punctual and communicative throughout and gave us piece of mind that lexi was happy. Sent plenty of photos of our happy dog

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and Walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cut-off time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will apply. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
