“Dearbhaile was very accommodating when I was stuck last minute and I felt so at ease leaving Réalta in her care. We got daily photos and updates, and I would gladly recommend or rebook again 🐾🙌”

“Rachel was brilliant with house-sitting Moby! She kept him company, gave him 3 walks a day, stayed with him some of the nights and kept me updated with photos while I was away. She followed all instructions and was great with communication. Your fur baby is definitely in safe, caring hands with her!”

About: Hi! 👋 I’m a Brazilian living in Ireland for over a decade. I work in IT, which gives me some flexibility during the week. I’ve always loved animals — I used to have a cat back home, but I couldn’t bring him with me because of his health issues. He’s now living happily with my mom and her many cats (I’ve honestly lost count!). Here in Ireland, I have a dog, some fish, and lots of plants, so there’s always a bit of life around the house. I’d love to help care for your furry friend as if they were my own. 🐾 I work from home, so I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to make pet care visits throughout the day. I can easily accommodate feeding, walks, playtime, and check-ins based on your pet's routine and needs. I always follow the pet owner's instructions carefully because they know their pet's routine, preferences, and needs best. I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while maintaining a clean, secure, and stress-free environment.

About: Hi, my name's Asia! I have loved caring for animals since my very first word (dog), and after 25 years it is still one of my main passions! My hobbies and life have brought me to gain a wide experience taking care of different types of pets all with different personalities. The type of animal I have most experience with are cats however, I can take care from the smallest rodents to the biggest dogs. I definitely don't get scared by size, and I also have experience with more rare pets such as reptiles, amphibians and I would be willing to care for bugs too. Services I offer: - Standard minding at your place (Including feeding, playing, brushing, cuddling) - Walks - Quick "lunch drop offs" (when you're at work) - Overnight stays/house sitting or night time drop ins -Administer medications (most experienced with cats but comfortable with dogs too) - Basic training help - I can only pet sit at my place for small animals in their habitat (such as rodents, amphibian, reptiles etc) as my cat is unfortunately scared of dogs and most other cats Please if you have any question at all, don't hesitate to drop me a quick message. I know every pet has their own habits and their own personality, and at the end of the day if you have to choose someone to mind your pet I totally understand you have to be 100% sure they are the right fit for them and that they like them! Because of this, I offer free consultations either in person or online to see if I'm the right fit for your pet and vice versa! Drop me a message for any questions :) I take care of my boy cat on a daily basis, but I geniunely try to meet and take care of as many friends as possible during the week Even if my own apartment is only available for smaller pets in their tank/enclosure, I offer pet sitting in your own house, ensuring all rules are followed and that the pet is the most comfortable. For local walking services, I live close to a nice big park and, if the pet likes it, a beach we can run on.

I understand that every pet has its own personality and needs, and I always treat them with patience, respect, and affection. I go beyond just feeding or walking I make sure pets feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away, sometimes even staying overnight to maintain their comfort and routine. I currently work 6 hours a day, but I am free in the morning until 10 a.m. and usually in the afternoon after 5 p.m... but everything can be discussed beforehand to fit into a routine where I can take care of your pet. I care for pets in their own home, always following their daily routine for feeding, play, and rest. I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved, giving plenty of attention, affection, and gentle interaction. My priority is their happiness and well-being while keeping their owner informed and reassured.

“Paulo did a tremendous job looking after our 16 week old Golden Retriever puppy Bowie. Paulo worked a 9 hour shift sitting for Bowie and a brilliant job was done. We received updates via photos and videos throughout the day, which included leash walking Bowie, doing command training, showing Bowie new things which Paulo has great experience with dogs. You know a fantastic job was done when we came home and seen Bowie fast asleep. Definitely recommend Paulo 💯”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when contacting them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Galway choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into your regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
