About: I've been a dog lover for as long as I can remember, looking after dogs of all sizes, my own and those of friends and family I'm currently working part-time so I have plenty of time for dog minding. I work in residential disability services and do night shifts Wednesdays and Saturdays nights am unavailable those evenings. I also get my roster a month in advance allowing for scheduling in advance. I have a fenced garden in a house with no other pets or children. I live nearby many parks and near the beach for long walks
About: I am a full-time dog sitter and walker with 10 years' experience caring for dogs of various sizes, from Rottweilers to pugs. During this time, I have learned that each dog is unique and has its own specific needs. My approach focuses on small group numbers and meeting each dogs needs: health, exercise, food, sleep and enrichment - whether that be a puppy needing hourly toilet breaks, a high-energy dog requiring lots of exercise and mental stimulation, or a senior needing medication. I can also support training. I am trained in canine first aid and dog behaviour and always carry an first aid kit. I am working full-time at the moment as a dog walker/minder. Apart from walks during the day, where I can be away for up to 2 hours, I supervise the dogs. They get plenty of exercise and affection. I follow all instructions the owner provides for me, including walking and minding. I use a form to gather all information about the current routine and follow it.
About: Hi! I’m Niamh. I’ve grown up surrounded by both dogs and cats, and caring for them has always been a joyful part of my life. I know how much our pets mean to us, and I’d love the opportunity to provide your furry friend with the love, attention, and care they deserve while you’re away. Whether it's playtime, walks, or just some cozy company, your pet will be in safe and happy hands with me! I offer a calm, patient, and attentive presence for your dog, whether they’re playful and energetic or prefer a quiet cuddle. You can count on me to treat your pup like one of my own—keeping them happy, safe, and loved while you're away. Growing up, my family and I regularly fostered kittens and puppies who were waiting for their forever homes. Through that experience, I learned how to care for animals of all ages, personalities, and needs—including shy, energetic, or nervous pets.
About: Hi! I’m a big dog lover with years of experience caring for my own dogs as well as dog sitting and walking experience over in New Zealand. I understand how important it is to have someone you trust looking after your pet, and I always make sure each dog feels safe, happy, and well cared for. I offer walks, boarding, and lots of attention, tailored to suit your dog’s needs and routine. Your dog will be treated like one of my own, with plenty of love, playtime, and care 🐶 I work from home on Thursdays and Fridays, and I’m fully at home on weekends, so your dog will have lots of attention, care, and company. My home is spacious with plenty of room for medium-sized dogs, a fully fenced back garden for safe play, and Renville just down the road for long, enjoyable walks.

About: I've owned a dog for 15 years and ever since that I haven't had the chance to have another one, so when I have an opportunity to dog sit, I take it! They are the best companies to have around :) I currently work from home, so I can onboard dogs during the week and during my lunch time I can take for toilet break. And I can also onboard on weekends. My apartment is small and cozy, so I've settled a comfy place to take care of your paw friend to relax and feel safe with me!

About: Hi! 👋 I’m a Brazilian living in Ireland for over a decade. I work in IT, which gives me some flexibility during the week. I’ve always loved animals — I used to have a cat back home, but I couldn’t bring him with me because of his health issues. He’s now living happily with my mom and her many cats (I’ve honestly lost count!). Here in Ireland, I have a dog, some fish, and lots of plants, so there’s always a bit of life around the house. I’d love to help care for your furry friend as if they were my own. 🐾 I work from home, so I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to make pet care visits throughout the day. I can easily accommodate feeding, walks, playtime, and check-ins based on your pet's routine and needs. I always follow the pet owner's instructions carefully because they know their pet's routine, preferences, and needs best. I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while maintaining a clean, secure, and stress-free environment.
About: I have a genuine love for dogs and love to take care of them. I’m particularly close to my family’s senior Yorkie and mind him often for my mam, and regularly look after my sister’s Cocker Spaniel. I’ve come to know each of their unique personalities and quirks really well throughout the years. Would love to mind more little doggies out there. I currently work a hybrid (mostly remote) job. I am available Tuesday evening through Sunday evening. I live very close to the city, so I can bring your dog on a nice quiet walk along the canal, or a more adventurous walk to the Claddagh and Salthill. I also have years of dog care experience and understand how important it is to have someone you trust looking after your pet. I always make sure each dog feels safe, happy, and well cared for 🐾😊 I live in a small semi-detached house with stairs. I have a small fenced garden patio in the back of my home where dogs can go for a quiet sniff. My home is also spacious enough for medium-sized dogs, with a fully fenced back garden for safe play 😊

About: I have always had a dog since I can remember, had a black labrador since I was 6 and a border collie since i was 9 years old. I adore pets, specially dogs and I’ve never been afraid of being hands on with looking after them, playing around and going for walks no matter how long, all depending on the dog’s needs. In Ireland I only have experience with one little 4 month old puppy since I only now got the time to be more committed to the pets and give them the attention and care they need and deserve. I am currently working part time during the day so I am fully available to look after your pet! I am available mostly during the weekends (friday, saturday and sunday after work). Depending on what service is needed I can do it during the week too after work, that can all be arranged. I have a large backyard at home where your pet can run around, go potty and relax for as long as wished. I don’t have any pets at home so my full attention will be given to your pet specifically. I have toys I can provide for your pet if wanted, water and food bowl too. I also live in estate so I can bring him/her for nice walks.
About: "I've cared for dogs since I was little, bathing, feeding, and giving them lots of love. I enjoy taking them for walks and I'm very patient. As a migrant, I miss my own pet, so I'd love to care for yours and give them all the attention they need. Plus, I'd love to have their company on my days off, that would be great!" "My schedule is fully available all day Sunday to care for your pet, providing plenty of time to play together and go for long walks. I also have some availability on Mondays, so feel free to ask and we can coordinate something!" "I love taking dogs for walks! I enjoy lots of walking and exercise, so they'll get plenty of fun movement. Near where I live, I have a field and areas to play with them. Your fur babies can be safe with me, and I have tons of patience with them. I love spending time with them and being together. Also, if the weather isn't good, like on rainy days, I can care for them in my home and keep them cozy."

About: I adore dogs and have a beautiful cocker spaniel girl of my own. I have sent my girl to doggy day care whilst at work so I completely understand why you want your beloved pet to have company fun and exercise whilst you are out. I love the company of dogs and find their energy beautiful to be around. My previous dog passed away a couple of years ago at age 13yrs. She was quite unwell in the last years of her life. I cared for her medically and I have a soft spot for elderly dogs so I will go at their pace. I am shortly reducing my working week to two days per week. I also plan to take block periods of leave over the summer into the winter so I will be available for block boarding. I will also be able to provide full time day care during this period. I walk my own dog every single morning without fail regardless of weather. I will be home all day with any dog in my care I have a back garden that is fully enclosed so it is very safe. Your dog will be with me indoors except times they will be in the garden to toilet or play. The back door will remain open for them to come back into my home. I never leave my own dog outside so your pet will be with me at all times indoors. We will cosy up on in my living room and go for walks.
About: I am a responsible and caring pet owner who always prioritizes the safety and well-being of the dogs in my care. With Bibi and me, your dog will have a wonderful time, and you can have peace of mind knowing they are in good hands. I look forward to meeting you and your beloved pet soon! 🐾 I have a deep love for animals and have always been passionate about their well-being. This love has driven me to dedicate significant time and effort to ensuring the happiness and health of all the pets I care for. My journey as a pet owner and dog sitter has taught me the importance of patience, attention to detail, and understanding each dog's unique personality and needs. Over the past two years, I have gained extensive experience caring for Bibi and her doggy friends. Whether it's organizing playdates, going on long walks, or ensuring they have a comfortable and fun stay at our home, I always strive to create a positive experience for every dog I look after. Bibi gets along great with other dogs, and together, we'll make sure your pet feels happy and secure. In addition to my personal experience, I have also had the pleasure of dog sitting for my friends. This has given me the opportunity to care for a variety of breeds and temperaments, enhancing my ability to cater to each dog's unique needs. Every dog that stays with us is treated with the same love and care as Bibi. Furthermore, I have volunteered at a Polish animal shelter, where I assisted in caring for dogs of all ages and backgrounds. This experience has deepened my understanding of dog behavior and the importance of providing a stable and nurturing environment for them. Your dog will stay in our comfortable apartment, which features a large balcony perfect for fresh air and sunshine. Additionally, we have access to a spacious rooftop area where dogs can play and socialize safely. The neighborhood is surrounded by plenty of green areas and parks, providing ample opportunities for long walks and outdoor fun. We also have a car, making it easy to take your dog on exciting outings, including trips to the beach. Bibi loves the beach, and I'm sure your dog will too. They can enjoy running on the sand, playing in the water, and soaking up the sun, all under careful supervision.
About: I've always been around animals and I love pets. I had a rescue dog for 10 years (in my profile photo). He had health needs and was my constant companion. I understood having him what it was like to go away and feeling vulnerable in wondering how he would be when I was gone. I was super lucky to have some amazing friends who minded him so well and sent me photos of him looking delighted with himself! I now have a lab/collie and I also have a cat that I rescued as a kitten. She lives outside and comes in for naps. Scout plays a lot in our large garden and comes in to the living room as well to hang out. I live near a beautiful turlough and there are also woodlands nearby that are great for walks. Your dog can have lots of lovely outdoor time, or if they need to be inside and kept cosy, that's also totally fine. I work from home and am very happy to have a pet set up on a nice bed or blanket near me. My last dog had a lot of health issues and sometimes needed to just rest, so I am used to giving meds/keeping a close eye/ creating a little nest for them to relax. I will be working from home and will have afternoons off so I have a lot of time to hang out with your pet. I feed our pets in the morning and evening. They have loads of outdoor space to run around in and we spend time each day playing ball or going for walks on the turlough. If the weather is bad they come inside and can relax in the living areas. Scout, the female lab collie is super friendly and would love company so your dog will have a very willing play buddy if they want that! Or if they are senior/need space, I can put them in their own area to chill out! I am happy to match their normal routine so that they get whatever they need to feel safe and happy. If that's certain types of exercise or games, I am very happy to accommodate them. Scout usually gets a treat to chew in the evenings when we sit down together, so if your pet has a favourite treat, I will include them in this and make them feel at home! There is a large garden, I will be very vigilant with watching the pets wherever they are and making sure that they are safe and happy. Dogs are allowed on the rugs and couch, they will have lots of affection and will be treated as part of the family!
About: I’ve spent 2 years pet sitting in Australia and have now decided to take my skills home to Ireland. I have grown up raising animals and I’m proud of the level of care I provide! I am currently at home full time so have lots of time to take care of your pet! I am available weekdays, evenings and weekends. I also provide a house sitting service. I have a large garden. I am happy to walk your pet for as long of a walk as they need. I am comfortable giving pets any medication they require (non-invasive).
“What an absolute gem to find, Archie loved his time in Flavia's home, he was made so welcome, I was nervous as he's a bold busy puppy, the clip sent after 15 mins of him there, showed he settled right in. So delighted to find Flavia, I was so happy leaving Archie because I knew he was so content in the environment provided. Treated like one of their own family! Can't recommend enough .”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your working day. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalised environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-to-one attention, and same-day collection and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose 'can host' section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socialising needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters 'Doesn't own a dog' and 'Only accepts one pet at a time' to find the right care.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every pet sitter, walker, and boarding sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they 'Accept multiple clients' or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Many sitters on Rover can help with collection and drop-off! You can find the cost of collection and drop-off in their profile under 'See additional rates'.
If you found a day care close to your home in Galway, you can also explore dog walking as an add-on service, which allows your sitter to collect or drop off your dog from their home to yours. Add your location to the search field to find sitters near you and message them directly about transport alternatives.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cut-off time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will apply. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
