About: I have loved dogs for many years and I am a dog owner myself. I have a Golden Retriever who is 4 years and 8 months old. I have raised her since she was only 35 days old, so I truly understand the daily care, attention and exercise that dogs need. Through raising my own dog, I have plenty of hands-on experience with walking, running, playing, feeding and understanding different dog behaviours and energy levels. I know how important it is for dogs to get enough exercise, companionship and mental stimulation. I am patient, gentle and responsible, and I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully. Safety is my top priority, and I make sure every dog feels comfortable and happy during our walks or visits. Spending time with dogs brings me a lot of joy, and I would love to help give your dog the care, exercise and attention they deserve while you are busy or away. I currently work part-time, so I have flexible availability for pet care. I am available all day on Sundays and from 5 pm on wards Monday to Saturday, which is perfect for evening walks, playtime and drop-in visits. Your dog’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I always follow your instructions carefully and keep dogs safely on leash during walks. I pay close attention to their behaviour and surroundings and choose safe, quiet walking routes. I will also send updates and photos so you can feel relaxed knowing your dog is in good hands.

About: I am a full-time dog sitter and walker with 10 years' experience caring for dogs of various sizes, from Rottweilers to pugs. During this time, I have learned that each dog is unique and has its own specific needs. My approach focuses on small group numbers and meeting each dogs needs: health, exercise, food, sleep and enrichment - whether that be a puppy needing hourly toilet breaks, a high-energy dog requiring lots of exercise and mental stimulation, or a senior needing medication. I can also support training. I am trained in canine first aid and dog behaviour and always carry an first aid kit. I am working full-time at the moment as a dog walker/minder. Apart from walks during the day, where I can be away for up to 2 hours, I supervise the dogs. They get plenty of exercise and affection. I follow all instructions the owner provides for me, including walking and minding. I use a form to gather all information about the current routine and follow it.

About: I have had my dog for 14 years, and since I was a child I've walked dogs for friends and family and have looked after family dogs overnight. I also care for a lot of our neighbourhood cats by feeding them and leaving water out when it's warm. I'm currently a student at University of Galway but I live at home, and I'm home quite often so I'd be around to care for the pet most of the day. Even if I wasn't around, there's always someone at home since my mother works from home, and my own dog Harley would be there to keep your pet company. I have a large garden and lot's of indoor space for large animals, I have a very friendly 14 year old female Husky/Retriever mix that would be great company for pets I look after. She's extremely gentle with cats so no bother there either. I walk my dog 1-2 times a day, I would do the same for a dog I look after. My neighbourhood is a great area for dogwalking, there's lots of green spaces and a beach. I live with my family so there would be other trusted adults around too. I would look after a pet in someone else's house but would also be super open to keeping them at my own house too.

I’ve always been one of those people who, as a child, would stop to say hello to every dog I saw… and honestly, not much has changed... If there’s a dog nearby, chances are I’ll be the one asking if I can say hi :) Animals have always been a big part of my life. Growing up, I always had pets at home, from hamsters and guinea pigs to dogs, and over the years I’ve also gained experience caring for cats. Thor is a rescue dog and has been by my side for the last 10 years. He’s a sensitive soul and has struggled with many things over the years, but through training, patience, love (lots of love!) and, of course, plenty of treats, he has grown in confidence and come such a long way. Living with Thor has taught me that every animal is different, each with their own personality, needs, and boundaries. That’s why, before starting any service, I like to take the time to get to know your best friend and ask plenty of questions during our first meeting! It helps me understand their routine, personality, and needs so I can adapt my care and make them feel as comfortable and safe as possible 🐾 I currently work part time in the mental health field, which means I am Garda vetted. I also offer 1-to-1 dog walks and home visits in Galway City. I don’t mix dogs from different households unless agreed beforehand, so your pet gets my full attention :). I have a car in case of any emergency and I'm PET FIRST AID CERTIFIED. My goal is simple: happy pets, relaxed humans, and peace of mind knowing they’re in safe hands 💙 I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility for pet care. I am available most mornings from Monday to Sunday, as well as several afternoons throughout the week. My dog, Thor, does not get along with other dogs or cats, so I provide care exclusively in the owner’s home. I consider this to be better for them, as staying in their own homes is less disruptive to their routines and allows them to adapt more comfortably and naturally to their usual environment.

About: I grew up leaving with pets especially dogs, My father was a Vet. Got all the experience of taking care of pets from him, I call literally say my whole life is surrounded with animals ( Dogs, cats, pigs, cows, chickens). I'm currently working part time but i can create time to visit and play with pets. I'm available weekends for boarding, play dates and walks, but also available weekdays after 6pm One can also be refreshed by playing with pets after a long day. If the owner has a backyard, the pet can be release in there to be played with and use the space. But if the owner has no backyard space, it's still fine. will then have to take a walk to the closest pack for the pet to have free mobility. Exercise for pets is paramount for their health.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 10, when my friend went on holidays with her family I cycled 6km to her house to walk and feed her dogs. My family got our Sandy, a labradoodle who is the light of our lives 8 years ago. Training, walking and playing with her are some of my favourite things to do on the weekends I visit home. I work full-time as a civil servant, but my hours are flexible. I am available every evening after 5pm and enjoy long walks in Salthill. My weekends are typically quiet so I am available full-time from Friday evening until Monday morning. I can also work remotely if required, I will just need a bit of notice. I am respectful of other people’s spaces and will adhere to any requests as set out. Each dog will be given fulfilling walks and I can provide transport to and from walking areas if needed.

About: I have looked after dogs and cats for years. I have had dogs and cats of my own for years also. Am happy to look after puppies also. Your fur baby will be looked after so well. I’m currently working part time so on the days I have availability marked I am fully able to mind your animals. I am also available to do house calls for walks and toilet breaks for your pets. I live on the first floor apartment in Bohermore with outdoor green areas so your dog will be on leash for all toilet breaks and walkies. I have a car also and can bring them for a spin to the park or beach for walkies if your animals like the car, if not they can be walked around the area I live.

About: Myself and my partner Abi have been providing services on Rover since Autumn 2023, looking after a variety of dogs in all shapes and sizes - walking, feeding, bathing, cleaning up, nothing is off the table, I'm positive you'll find a trusted pet carer in me. Most of our availability will fall on Friday evenings or the weekend unless discussed in advance, we may also have availability during the week too. An average service when pet sitting in your home would include: full bowl 'fresh' water and a full bowl of pet food on arrival, taking your pet out for their business frequently as desired (varying on individual pet), a shower if required, kitty litter / dog dropping clean if/when required. I'm intuitive and willing to take on specific instructions catered to your pet, I have experience providing oral medication to anxious and allergic dogs on separate occasions.
