About: I am a full-time dog sitter and walker with 10 years' experience caring for dogs of various sizes, from Rottweilers to pugs. During this time, I have learned that each dog is unique and has its own specific needs. My approach focuses on small group numbers and meeting each dogs needs: health, exercise, food, sleep and enrichment - whether that be a puppy needing hourly toilet breaks, a high-energy dog requiring lots of exercise and mental stimulation, or a senior needing medication. I can also support training. I am trained in canine first aid and dog behaviour and always carry an first aid kit. I am working full-time at the moment as a dog walker/minder. Apart from walks during the day, where I can be away for up to 2 hours, I supervise the dogs. They get plenty of exercise and affection. I follow all instructions the owner provides for me, including walking and minding. I use a form to gather all information about the current routine and follow it.
“Andreja is absolutely fab and Coco loves going on her walks with her. She is really caring about animals and as an owner, I also value that she is really responsible and conscientious about keys and security and all those pieces that make it all work. I recommend wholeheartedly. Thank you so much!!!”

About: ***No pets living with me currently *** For me this genuinely wouldn’t be a job I just adore spending time with animals. I have two golden retrievers I have grown up feeding them and taking care of them my whole life. I also have put sat for my neighbours on many occasions I go on a walk in the morning by the sea. I come home and have lunch then I chill and do some work for a few hours. Then I go grocery shopping and then go on another walk by the sea before dinner and then I go to sleep. I live in a spacious apartment with a big courtyard and a balcony for potty. There is a prom near the sea near me so I walk a lot there

I’m happy to provide walks, drop-in visits, and quality time for your pets. I genuinely love being around animals and look forward to spending time with them, not just working with them. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. I’ll always follow your instructions carefully, keep your pet’s environment clean and secure, and make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I currently rent an apartment where pets aren’t permitted, which is one of the reasons I enjoy pet sitting so much it gives me the opportunity to spend time caring for animals while giving owners peace of mind that their pets are in safe, loving hands.
About: I have been minding and walking dogs since I was 13. I have a strong love for all animals but dogs and cats hold a special place in my heart! I’m currently a university student and my flexible schedule and lack of lecture hours in a week means I will have a lot of time to care for your animals! I am an early bird and will take your dog out for a morning walk and a long evening walk after dinner before settling on the couch with them for the evening to watch a movie. I have a fenced back and front garden and the front gate is always locked. I have a cat and a dog, both incredibly friendly around other dogs and cats as they are used to being surrounded by previous dogs I’ve minded and they very much enjoy the company!
“Niamh was great with our dog, Bruno. The communciation was excellent and she shared photos so we knew they were having a great time. She also went the extra mile as Bruno was feeling unwell at the time and Niamh looked after him excellently and cleaned up after he had made a mess. Would highly recommend.”

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and Walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will apply. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
