About: I’ve spent my entire life with dogs, having been reared with them. Mom to two fur babies Marley& Blossom & also to Bella my cat. I have a huge passion for animals being well looked after and loved. Absolutely love spending my time with my pets at home. I am a mother of two but I am quite flexible to spend time walking your dogs or doing house calls on them or your cats when I am needed. I have two dogs at home who love their walks. Blossom is a rescue spaniel/collie who has a lot of energy. Marley is a cavapoo who is 10 and he is so docile. Bella is an adopted cat who loves sleeping on my bed during the day.
About: Myself and my husband, Danny have grown up around dogs all of our lives, from family dogs to our own golden retriever pup, Dusk whom has made our lives all the better. We adore dogs of all breeds, sizes and ages as does Dusk, he just wants to be friends with every dog he meets. We both work from home so any pups that stay with us will never be left alone and we have 1.5 acres of fenced land they can venture and play in. We love the outdoors so we'll often be at the beach or the lake if your dog doesn't mind car rides or we'll simply walk from our front door straight onto quiet, peaceful roads; we're spoilt for choice for the walks we can go on. We often have to leave our dog with a sitter when we go away so we know how difficult it can be being away from them and the anxiety that they can also feel being away from you so we will do everything we can to make your dog feel loved and at home. We want them to feel excited to come back to us and sad to leave as that is exactly what we want Dusk to feel whenever he is away from us. We both work from home so any dogs that stay with us will never be left alone. We only ever take one dog in at a time or two from the same household so you can be assured of the quality time and care your pup will receive from us. Your dog will be treated as our own and any schedules and routines you have, we will try our best to adapt to our own. We will send as many updates as you require to help you feel better whilst you're away from them.
Dog owners share their Rover experiences - Castlebar
Would highly recommend Caoilfhinn and will definitely be booking her again. Our dog Murphy was very happy with his walks as were we with the communication and pictures we got which tracked the walk. Was really impressed by the app and the information. It was our first time to use it & are very happy overall.

Caolifhinn was great. She arrived band on schedule and our dog was instantly happy with her. Usually our dog will put on the brakes walking with someone she doesn’t know but there wasn’t a bother on her and she trotted off happily - she could definitely sense Caolifhinn is a dog person. We will be booking again 😊

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for Dog Walking in Castlebar on Rover is {{median_grand_total_num.as_currency}} per walk (as of {{date}}). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Walking easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Walking.
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.
Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-to-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Castlebar. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighbourhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
Tip: Keep in mind that many cities require your dog walker to have a permit or licence for group walks.
For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route, the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poo breaks recorded by the walker.
The route map lets you review where your dog was walked in Castlebar after the booking. It is not live GPS tracking.
Have specific details you would like included? Message your dog walker in the app before the walk begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every walker must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.
Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the walker is the right fit before booking.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
Yes, you can find sitters who can respond to your messages in under 5 minutes. To find the fastest available match, message multiple sitters with a recent 'calendar last updated' notice on their profiles.
Walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three- or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-in visits, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12.00 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our booking protection will kick in. This means you'll get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
