About: I am owning a cat since last 8-9 years, since she was 3 months kitten, I have been looking after her, we share a bond like mother daughter, in 2020 I have to come to Ireland for my Master in Data Analytics but I miss my cat hence thought this is any best option to be with cats, take care of them as a cat parent I Know leaving them behind when you go for a work is how painful but if they are in good protective hands then our mind can be relaxed. I work full-time as an AI Developer, and I'm available to care for your lovely pets from Friday to Sunday. I've always had a special connection with animals, especially cats, and spending time with them genuinely makes me happy. Pet sitting is something I enjoy doing because it gives me the opportunity to share my love and care with more furry friends. During weekends, I can dedicate my time to making sure your pets receive plenty of attention, affection, playtime, and companionship. Having cared for my own cat for 12 years, I understand how important it is to provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment for pets. I treat every pet as if they were my own, with lots of love, patience, and attention. I always respect their individual personalities, routines, and preferences. Whether it's feeding, cleaning litter boxes, playing, cuddling, or simply keeping them company, I make sure they feel happy and secure. I also understand that some cats need their own space and time to feel comfortable. When caring for pets in their owner's home, I follow all instructions carefully and maintain a clean, safe environment. I'm also happy to send regular photos and updates so owners can have peace of mind while they're away. 🐱💕 💛 My personal touch: Animals have always brought so much happiness into my life, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them. For me, pet sitting isn't just a responsibility; it's something I truly love doing!

About: I’ve spent my entire life with dogs, having been reared with them. Mom to two fur babies Marley& Blossom & also to Bella my cat. I have a huge passion for animals being well looked after and loved. Absolutely love spending my time with my pets at home. I am a mother of two but I am quite flexible to spend time walking your dogs or doing house calls on them or your cats when I am needed. I have two dogs at home who love their walks. Blossom is a rescue spaniel/collie who has a lot of energy. Marley is a cavapoo who is 10 and he is so docile. Bella is an adopted cat who loves sleeping on my bed during the day.

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Castlebar

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Sitting in Castlebar on Rover is {{median_grand_total_num.as_currency}} per Visit (as of {{date}}). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting.

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or toilet breaks occurred, for doggy day care, home visits, and dog walking services. You can also message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available by email or chat if you have concerns.

Of course! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Castlebar pet parents with similar pet households.

Every sitter must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.

Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the sitter is the right fit before booking.

For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Castlebar choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into your regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
