About: I’ve loved animals, especially dogs, since I was a child. Growing up in Brazil, I often saw dogs living on the streets and always wished I could bring them home and give them the care and affection they deserved. I don’t have a dog of my own in Ireland yet, so pet sitting is a lovely opportunity for me to spend time with animals while also earning some extra income. I’m caring, patient and responsible, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality and making them feel safe, comfortable and loved. I understand that every pet has different needs and routines, and I’m happy to follow your instructions carefully. For me, looking after a pet is more than just a job — it’s a chance to be around animals that constantly teach us about love, loyalty and companionship. ❤️🐶 My spacious living room and secure grassy backyard provide a safe, stimulating environment for pets. With full-time availability since leaving my previous job, I can dedicate consistent attention to their daily routines, ensuring trust and comfort in my Cork home. In my home, I prioritize safety and comfort by providing a spacious living area for relaxation and a secure grassy backyard for exercise. Since I have full-time availability after leaving my previous job, I can maintain consistent routines, offer individualized attention, and ensure pets feel safe, loved, and well-cared-for in a calm domestic environment.

About: I’ve always had a natural bond with animals and truly enjoy caring for them. Over the years, I’ve looked after dogs, cats, and even birds — always focusing on making them feel safe, loved, and understood. What sets me apart is my calm, patient approach and ability to adapt to each pet’s personality, building trust and comfort while giving owners total peace of mind. Currently working part time and studying. So I have plenty of time on weekends to take care of your family pets. Also during the week, I have some days off to be with them, as much as needed. I’m a reliable and organized person who treats every home and pet with the same care and respect as if they were my own, and I easily adapt to the environment where each pet feels most comfortable.

About: I grew up on a farm in Portugal surrounded by animals since the day I was born. My father is a vet, so caring for pets has always been a natural part of my life. I learned early how to handle animals with love, confidence and responsibility. Back in Portugal, I was part of an animal rescue institution where I helped save abandoned animals, cared for them at home, and found responsible new owners. Since moving to Ireland, I’ve continued looking after pets — from minding my friends’ cats to taking daily care of my boyfriend’s two dogs, which I walk, feed, play with and treat like my own. Animals are truly my comfort place, and I bring years of real, hands-on experience with pets of all kinds. I work from home, which means your pet will have company and attention throughout the entire day. I can easily fit walks, playtime and feeding into my routine. I’m available for boarding on weekends and most weekdays, and I’m very flexible with drop-off and pick-up times. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first with me. I live in a clean, warm and tidy home where every animal is treated like family. I have a fully fenced garden where dogs can play safely, as well as an outdoor kennel for pets who prefer fresh air or need their own space.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Carrignavar on Rover is {{median_grand_total_num.as_currency}} per night (as of {{date}}). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting.

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.

House sitters can stay overnight in your home and care for your pets according to the routine you agree on before the booking.

Depending on your pets’ needs, this may include feeding, walks, play, companionship, medication, providing toilet or litter-box care, and keeping their usual schedule. Some sitters may also agree to light household tasks, such as collecting mail, watering plants, or putting bins out, but these are not automatically included.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss the sitter’s overnight schedule, how long your pets can comfortably be left alone, arrival and departure times, update preferences, and all tasks you would like to arrange. Confirm the agreed responsibilities through the Rover app before booking.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to €25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.

Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the sitter is the right fit before booking.

For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Carrignavar choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into your regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
