“Ryan has been so great taking care of Buster and Willow! They're high energy and I couldn't ask for a better person than Ryan to get their walks in. They're good and tired after their runs and sniffs with a Ryan and it gives me peace of mind knowing they're in capable hands!”

“Claire took great care of our two cats while we were away! She provided really detailed report cards with photos each day. It was a relief knowing that our babies were well taken care of. We'll definitely see if Claire's available next time we head out of town!”
“Elaine went above and beyond and took such great care of our dog! She was easy to communicate with and even helped out with flexibility when the dates of our trip changed. Can’t thank her enough!”

“Sheila does a great job with my boy Will he is well loved and well taken care of by Sheila and I definitely would recommend her to anyone who needs some doggy help”

“Ricky is very passionate and caring. One of the best sitters I’ve ever hired. He took a fantastic care of my cat while we were gone and communicated with me every time he visited. I highly recommend him. My cat was happy and well fed when we got home!”

About: Having a dog myself, I know how hard it is when you need to leave, so I treat that responsibility seriously! What sets me apart is the level of attention and presence I give to every dog. I don’t juggle a packed schedule or treat pet care as something to squeeze in. I’m genuinely attentive throughout the day and focused on each dog’s comfort, routine, and emotional well-being. I’m patient, observant, and quick to notice changes in behavior or needs. I’m comfortable following detailed instructions, caring for young puppies, and supporting them as they adjust to routines. My goal isn’t just to meet expectations, but to make both you and your dog feel completely at ease. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine and I structure my day around making sure dogs get consistent attention, bathroom breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of affection. I’m home enough to be present and attentive, and I enjoy building my schedule around a dog’s needs and routine. Whether your dog is more energetic or more laid-back, I will make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and never ignored. I live in a dog friendly apartment building with plenty of nearby parks and walking trails, which means lots of opportunities for walks, sniffing, and mental stimulation throughout the day. While I don’t have a private fenced yard, there is a large fenced dog park close by for safe, enclosed play and lots of fetch. I’m very mindful of each dog’s comfort level and tailor outdoor time to what helps them feel happiest. My goal is for you to leave knowing your dog is in caring, capable hands and to come back to a happy, relaxed pup.
About: I am a very active person and love to take dogs on walks, hikes, and to dog parks. I’m also fine with the chill dog that likes to hang out and enjoy the day. I currently work full-time. I am available Friday evenings through Sunday to pet sit at your home or do drop in visits to make sure your pet is happy and healthy. I can care for pets in the client’s home. I can also stay at the home for overnight care and housesitting if needed during the weekend.
“Rachel is so wonderful and I felt a lot better leaving Maybelle at home when I was working so much. Maybelle got lots of outdoor time and seemed very happy. Thank you Rachel for taking such good care of my precious fur baby”

“Marcus was great! He exceeded our expectations. We had to travel on short notice and he made us feel comfortable leaving our dog Wally, and made our first time using Rover a pleasant experience. He sent us detailed accounts of his visits and walks with our dog and sent tons of cute pictures! Wally seemed very content when we got home, and I know he enjoyed his time with Marcus.”

“Mandi was fantastic! She made sure my kitten got plenty of exercise and stayed active, and she was incredibly responsive throughout. I felt totally at ease knowing my pet was in such caring and capable hands.”

“Samantha has been an absolute joy to work with these past few months. She’s reliable, thoughtful, and kind. My pup adores her. Sadly she’s moving out of the area and will be very missed, but if you have a chance to have her look after your pets I can’t recommend her enough - you won’t find better.”

“Our senior dog, Sadie, loved hanging out with Crystal! Crystal was so attentive to her needs, gave her lots of love and pets, and took adorable pics to keep us posted. Can’t wait to see Crystal again!”

About: I’ve grown up around animals my entire life and have hands on experience caring for both cats and dogs. I had a cat growing up and have also pet sat for cats, including administering medication, feeding on a schedule, cleaning litter boxes, and making sure they felt comfortable and cared for while their owners were away. My family has always had dogs, and I lived with a large dog for a couple of years. During that time, I helped with daily walks, feeding, general care, and maintaining routines. I’m comfortable handling dogs of different sizes and energy levels, following specific instructions, and making sure pets feel safe and relaxed in their own environment. I am attentive, patient, and very good at following care instructions exactly as provided. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I’m reliable with schedules and plan my days around commitments, which makes it easy for me to prioritize feeding times, walks, check-ins, and medication needs. I’m organized and responsive, so pets receive consistent care and attention rather than feeling rushed. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so caring for them never feels like a chore. I treat pets and homes with the same respect and care I would want for my own. I follow all instructions carefully, keep routines consistent, and pay close attention to each pet’s comfort and safety. I make sure food and water areas are clean, litter boxes and outdoor areas are maintained, and pets receive the attention they need. In clients’ homes, I’m clean and respectful. I keep spaces tidy, lock up properly, and communicate clearly with updates so owners feel confident and at ease while they’re away.
“Rosalyn was great with our boys, Lando and Zion! Great communication, follows directions, and sends wonderful photos of the boys during drop-in visits. Couldn’t ask for a better person to trust with our home and pets!”
“Kathleen is awesome! She gave great updates full of pictures and spent a lot of time with them so they feel comfortable around her. I knew they were in good hands, she followed all instructions and gave them plenty of play time.”

About: I have dog sat for friends and family for the last year. That has included drop ins for walks and feeding as well as staying overnight. I'm currently working part time and in school, so my available days may change every few months at the end of my school terms. Right now I am available Sunday afternoons and Wednesday and Friday mornings/afternoons. I am in an apartment, so I don't have the ideal environment for dogs. However, I am happy to go to the client's homes for walks or drop in visits.
Hudsons Bay pet parents share their Rover experiences
This is going to be a comparison review for multiple drop-in visits. I had originally hired another sitter but decided to add Claire a couple times a month as a backup in case my original hire was sick or couldn’t make it. So she had two drop visits a month and would cover any time that the other sitter wasn’t available. The other sitter was adequate. She would come on time take pictures of them on the couch and leave on time. Sometimes she would say whether or not they peed. Sometimes she wouldn’t and I’d have to ask her and she would say oh I don’t know. They walked around the corner of the house. Claire on the other hand, actually pays attention to them. She plays with them. The videos are great! I know that they peed. They pooped. They had water. Most of the time the pictures and videos are of them being outside. She lets the dogs tell her what they want not the other way around. And when all they get is 30 minutes of attention, that is very important. Claire is now my only drop in sitter. I also feel comfortable that if I were to go out of town, I would definitely have her stay here. I know she’s going to college, and I hope that she makes all her dreams come true with whatever she decides to do. However, I hope that we can keep her busy enough where I could keep her as my sitter forever! Because I’m selfish! Please hire her around my schedule. 😁🐶🐾

Sarah is absolutely AMAZING! She was so good with my senior cat Lynus, gave him extra special attention and even a kitty massage ! She was so kind to send me photos and a video of him during her visit. When I arrived home he was watching a nature show for kitties ! I would HIGHLY recommend Sarah to anyone needing a pet sitter!

Andrew has now kindly looked after my dog in his own home and done drop-in visits on my cat in my own place and it’s such a relief to find a kind, caring, communicative person to trust with their care!! He made sure to cover all the information needed while I was away and shared lovely updates throughout the week. He’ll continue to be my preferred go-to person to look after my pets any time I’m away, thank you Andrew!!

Kristen was very communicative and flexible with my last minute request. My usually shy cat took to her right away and was immediately comfortable upon our meet and greet. I felt very comfortable having Kristen come over while we were gone and felt happy knowing my cat was in great care, getting lots of snuggles and loves from her.
