“Omarielys is accommodating, reliable, and very considerate to my dog's specific needs. She is good about updates and an excellent communicator. She is my favorite dog walker and sitter when I take trips to Florida with my dogs. I always have peace of mind leaving my fur babies with her. I highly recommend Omarielys, a very responsible dog-sitter.”

“Viana was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Lucy! She arrived right on time, took Lucy on a nice long walk, and followed every instruction I left. I asked her to wipe Lucy’s paws after the walk since I have white furniture and to give her a treat afterward, and she did both without me having to remind her. It gave me peace of mind knowing Lucy was well cared for and that my home stayed clean. I really appreciate Viana’s reliability, attention to detail, and care for Lucy. I would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog walker!”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I have two dogs of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your pets. I know every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I treat every animal with the same love, patience, and care that I give my own. In addition to being a pet owner, I previously worked as an Animal Enforcement Officer. That experience gave me the opportunity to work with animals of all breeds, sizes, temperaments, and backgrounds while staying calm, observant, and compassionate in every situation. It also strengthened my ability to recognize animal behavior, prioritize safety, and handle pets with confidence and care. Whether your pet is an energetic puppy, a laid-back adult, or a senior who needs a little extra patience, I’m committed to making them feel comfortable and loved while you’re away. I’ll happily follow your pet’s routine, provide plenty of playtime, walks, cuddles, and send regular photo updates so you can have peace of mind knowing they’re in great hands. About: Hi I’m David but most of the people including my family and friends calls me Jack, I’ve taken care of pets of every kind since I was little boy. Friends, family, neighbors have relied on me to check in, walk, feed, and bathe their pets. Trust is the most important value especially for the community and people to have a pet sitter like myself to make a job easier for them. I’m currently available full time as this is my chosen career. I’m available anytime and have transport. I can work around any schedule as required In my own home, I am only boarding cats, but if I look after pets in the pet owners home, then I always make sure that the doors are closed and if I take dogs for a walk they always stay on a leash. I make sure there are no toys or objects that they can choke on. I spend many hours with the pets, not just walking them, but playing with them, and just keeping them company. I like the pets to get to know me and feel comfortable with me and with time, they look forward to seeing me. I like to build a relationship with my clients and their pets. I keep any home clean and tidy whether it is my own home, or a client’s home. Cleaning out litter trays, brushing dander, and generally keeping the home clean and safe.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Howey-in-the-Hills
Margaux is an absolute blessing. She is so professional and reliable, we kept her on for months after her initial assignment (relieving my husband after hip surgery), because we just liked having her come. Her sunny disposition and kind heart make her an amazing joy to have. Our dog just loved her!!! He would wait by the window on the days she came and squeal with happiness at the sight of her. We will definitely use her again and again for all of our pet needs!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
