“Anmol and Trupti are amazing pet sitters! They welcomed our two French Bulldogs into their home. Their senior dog Sky was incredible with our Frenchies. Anmol and Trupti send us videos and photos of the dogs throughout their stay with them. The dogs enjoyed playing in their HUGE fenced in secure yard and cuddling on the couch with them too. We will definitely use them again to watch our dogs as they were clearly well cared for and loved while staying with them. Thank you again for the wonderful care of our fur babies! ❤️”

“Rachel took care of my dog Daisy this past weekend. She sent me frequent updates including photos and videos. Daisy had the best time at Rachel’s home along with her dog and cat. Rachel took Daisy on long walks, to the dog park and the beach. I knew Daisy was in good hands with Rachel and would highly recommend her.”

“Carolina took amazing care of my dog for the weekend. She communicated frequently with updates and photos. My dog was well-exercised and happy throughout the whole day. I would recommend Carolina and hope to use her again. Thank you, Carolina!”

“We used Melissa to take care of our blind dog overnight, and she did an excellent job looking after him. We are happy that we now can count on Melissa to care of our precious Brady when we have to travel. I highly recommend her if your looking for an experienced person who knows dogs and who is excellent with special needs pets.”

“Julianna was great with our dog. She kept was updated and also sent us pictures of our dog. She responded quickly to our message which was nice of her. Will definitely recommend her to others and definitely book her again as well”

“Kat took amazing care of our Axel for the holiday weekend! She was super sweet, kind, accommodate us last minute, and actually cared to know his routine and what works for him. She kept me updated all throughout his stay! I felt safe knowing Axel was with her. 10/10, we’ll definitely be booking again!”

“Mary was so accommodating and kind. She clearly understands dogs, and helped my dog Bryn to fit in with her pack. Her home and yard are perfect and safe for happy & healthy dogs. It was my first time using Rover and she made the process very easy for me. (I was very nervous). Thank you Mary and family! -Peggy and Bryn”

About: I love all animals, even reptiles! When I was a teenager I worked at a kennel for a summer job and fell in love with every breed of dog. I’ve had dogs, cats, rabbits and small critters my entire life and even backyard chickens! My current pup is a senior boxer/Shepard mix. I am comfortable giving medication and caring for senior and special needs pets. I have a full time job so am available for pet care in the evenings and on weekends. I work local so if pet sitting at my house, I can check in at lunch time. I have a fenced in backyard and crates if needed. My senior dog is chill and great with cats and small caged pets would be safe with her.

“I left my pups Luke and Leia with Bob this past week and he was absolutely wonderful with them. He took great care of them and kept me updated on how they were doing every day and sent me pictures of them. I had total peace of mind while I was away. I would highly recommend Bob to take care of your fur babies”

“Linda was wonderful and watched our 1 year old dog while we vacationed for the week. She took the time to send plenty of photos and took our dog on many fun walks around the neighborhood each day! Our dog was a rescue and tends to be very nervous and cautious in new situations. Linda took extra care to make sure he was happy and comfortable each day. I highly recommend booking with Linda!”

“Michelle was fantastic! She was so communicative and sent so many photos of Russell throughout the day which was so appreciated. We could really tell he got the same type of care and attention that he does at home. I would highly recommend Michelle!”

“We had an exceptional experience with Monika, who boarded our pup for the weekend. From the start, her communication was prompt and friendly, putting our minds at ease. During the stay, Monika sent regular updates, including pictures and videos, showing that Chief was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. It was clear that she treated Chief like one of her own, which meant the world to us. We highly recommend Monika to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter. We will definitely be reaching out to her again in the future!”

“We've had a great experience with Luz & Alessandro! They were very welcoming and took such great care of my dog. Their communication was awesome every step of the way. We always got updates and photos, which really gave us peace of mind. Most importantly, our dog was totally comfortable and happy with them. Highly recommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Howell
Jessica was great! She took great care of my big guy (95 LB Mastiff/Hound mix) Frankie, taking him on several walks a day as well as making sure he got his daily medication. I received updates everyday that included pictures and videos. Frankie did have some separation anxiety but Jess made sure to spend lots of time with him to make him feel comfortable. Couldn't recommend her more!

Jess is the best and takes care of my dog the way I would. I know he is in great hands when staying with her and I feel completely at ease. This last time she even administered his eye drops without any issues and I’m beyond grateful for her 💗 Chexy can’t wait to see you again!! Thank you 😊

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
