“Patricia was great with my baby. She sent pictures and messages frequently to keep me posted on how my baby was doing. I would recommend her. And I will use her again when I need to travel. Thank you again for taking such good care of my Khloe.”

“Kathleen watched our pup while we headed into NYC for a wedding. She's been very responsive through the whole booking process and shared some pics of Puck having a great time while we were away. We’d definitely send Puck with her again!”

“Our dog Winnie had so much fun with Michelle! Michelle was very accommodating to our pick up and drop off times and she has a great space for pups to play! Would highly recommend!”

“Have to say, this was my first time using Rover and Rebecca immediately put us at ease. We have never boarded mishka at all before let alone needing to find a place for a month while I was in between homes. Rebecca made mishka apart of their family and the stress of him not with us was greatly softened. I would recommend her to anyone.”

“Rosemery was excellent with my King Charles cavalier!. It was my first time using the app and leaving my three year old dog with someone who wasn’t family. She was amazing with keeping in touch and sending pictures. My dog looked so happy and comfortable to be cared for by her. I would highly recommend her and will def use her again in the future!!”

“We had such a great experience with Carly! Fig absolutely loved spending time with Willow- they became fast friends. It was such a comfort knowing Fig was in a warm, caring home with another sweet pup to play with. Highly recommend!”

About: I have taken care of dogs for most of my adult life. My wife and I have made a point to adopt large older dogs that tend to be stuck in the shelter system. All dogs are good and deserve to live a fun filled, happy, and loved life. I am also recently pet CPR and first aid certified by The American Red Cross. Im currently working part time three nights during the week so I have plenty of free time to take care of your pups. Having recently lost our beloved Mastiff, I've been craving some pup time. I have a fully fenced in yard and have plenty of room to crate your pups. We recently lost our dog so we are pet free. Being dog people, we welcome your dogs like they were our family.
“How lucky we are to have found Tokar to watch our Charli girl!! Tokar is warm and loving even welcoming Charli with her very own welcome sign on the porch when we arrived. We received picture updates and just knew Charli was having a great time. We look forward to seeing Tokar again!!!”

“This is my first time ever leaving my dog with anybody except family and Corrine was absolutely wonderful. She sent me pictures every day of my dog. I picked her up and she looked great. Thank you so so much and I know she had so much fun and I will definitely be using you again.”

“Lisa is the best! It was such a relief knowing our little guy was being taken care of while we were out of town. She kept us in the loop with great photos! She’s so sweet, and our dog LOVES her! We are very fortunate to have found her.”

“Jennifer was fantastic. Very flexible with drop off and pickup timing and shared lots of pictures over the course of Goose’s visit. Would definitely leave my dog with her again the next time I’m in town!”

“Bob and his wife were excellent with our pup! I was a little anxious leaving him because this was our first time with Bob, and we were out of the country, but he had a great time. Bob was very kind and sweet to him, with regular walks in addition to playing in his yard. It seems he had plenty of cuddles and didn’t want to leave! We will definitely use Bob again in the future, we are very happy.”

“Bridgette was a great host for my pup-son! When i dropped him off, the first thing she said was, “I’ve been excited all day waiting for him!” How comforting that was to hear?! She sent ample pictures and even videos! She took him to the dog park, on long walks, and challenged him with puzzles. My little fella usually takes a while before he feels comfortable eating with a new sitter but he had no issues with her! She even fed him his motion sickness medication before I picked him up. I would recommend Bridgette to any and all of my friends/family. Your pup will be in good hands. Added bonus that she was able to squeeze him in on short notice!”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was a teenager and I am obsessed with mine now. My dogs are so friendly and they love to play with new friends so I would love to host your dog in my home which is a fenced in yard. Plenty of space to run and a very clean environment. Doodles preferred and non shedding dogs due to my son’s allergies please. I am a work from home mom with two boys who are 10 and 12 who also love dogs. because of my schedule, I am able to be home to take care of the pups. I would treat them like my own! They are welcome to Rome in a comfortable large space and run around in the backyard with lots of walks every couple of hours.
About: I love all animals, even reptiles! When I was a teenager I worked at a kennel for a summer job and fell in love with every breed of dog. I’ve had dogs, cats, rabbits and small critters my entire life and even backyard chickens! My current pup is a senior boxer/Shepard mix. I am comfortable giving medication and caring for senior and special needs pets. I have a full time job so am available for pet care in the evenings and on weekends. I work local so if pet sitting at my house, I can check in at lunch time. I have a fenced in backyard and crates if needed. My senior dog is chill and is great with dogs and cats if caring for you pet in my home. For short stays, pets usually do best in their own home with visits from me up to three times a day depending on their needs.

“Fiona is great! Our little Sherlock boy loved her! He is an old man, set in his ways but he was very comfortable with her. She sent pics and updates throughout his stay and even got him new treats. He has a nervous habit of drinking a lot of water when in a new environment. She immediately picked up on it and messaged me and watched him as he settled down into normal drinking levels. Rover and Fiona in particular were a great solution for us while camping at a no-dogs campground.”

“Megan and her husband Bryan were absolutely great with our two boys Louie and Brady. They provided us with adorable pictures, including a little backyard pool on a hot day and belly rubs! They kept in contact throughout the time we were away and we felt confident that our pups were being loved and looked after just as we would have! Thank you both :)”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wall Township
Lucky enjoyed his weekend with Cheryl, Gus, family & friends:) And we are grateful to have connected with Cheryl to know Lucky was in loving, experienced hands and had a great backyard & home to feel at home in. We also appreciated the thoughtful communication and fun pictures of Lucky & friends when we were away. Thank you!

Gina was great! We booked last minute and she was so nice about it. She sent updates and photos throughout the visit. When we came to pick up Riley, our pup was happy as a clam and immediately fell asleep in the car. We definitely plan to reach out to Gina again when we are in the area.

Carol Ann and John happily accepted Juno in a pinch when I had a circumstance that required last-minute hosting. During my time away, they sent me photos and notes to let me know that she was having fun and that all was going well at their home. Their care for Juno and understanding of her energetic needs made me so comfortable. I am glad they had her for this weekend away!!! Thank you.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
