Currently we own a rescue that is a difficult dog that's happy I am a teacher and a chaplain intern finishing seminary just looking for some extra income. I would love to hang out with your pet! We have a fenced yard. We have also worked with two high-level trainers to help our pets feel comfortable. We have a happy dog. Insured pet sitter for your peace of mind!
“Luz & Alessandro took wonderful care of my senior boy, Gunner. We got consistent updates and photos, which was very much appreciated. Any time I needed to contact them, they were always available. This is a very sweet couple who clearly care about the animals they bring into their home.”

About: Your pet gets more than a sitter they get a new best friend! ❤️ Since I work from home, they'll enjoy plenty of love, attention, playtime, cuddles, and companionship throughout the day. Photo updates are always included so you can see all the fun! Hi! I'm a lifelong animal lover who worked as a vet tech many moons ago while I was in nursing school. These days, I work from home, which means your pet will get plenty of attention throughout the day. My home is also full of fellow animal lovers! We have two dogs, a bunny, a love bird and a bearded dragon, and my two kids absolutely love helping care for our furry (and scaly!) guests. I'm also a bit of a homebody, so spending time at home with animals is truly my happy place. I can't wait to welcome your pet as part of the family! Your pet's comfort and routine are my top priorities! I have a large, fully fenced yard for safe outdoor play, and I'm always happy to take dogs on leashed walks for extra exercise and enrichment. I can follow your pet's regular feeding schedule, administer medications if needed, and tailor care to their individual needs and personality. Whether they love to play, explore, or simply relax with lots of cuddles, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home.
“Unbelievable!!! This was the first time that we gave Zeke to another person. As soon as Zeke saw Hendra he was running to him, and when I came (hesitantly...) to pick him up, he was so calm and content, an indication that he had a great 2 days! Will know where to send next time we need a sitter, and very warmly recommend Hendra! He was extremely courteous and kind, professional and warm at the same time!”

“Fiona is great! Our little Sherlock boy loved her! He is an old man, set in his ways but he was very comfortable with her. She sent pics and updates throughout his stay and even got him new treats. He has a nervous habit of drinking a lot of water when in a new environment. She immediately picked up on it and messaged me and watched him as he settled down into normal drinking levels. Rover and Fiona in particular were a great solution for us while camping at a no-dogs campground.”

“Vincent took great care of our German shepherd Trooper this weekend. He kept us updated throughout Trooper’s time with him which was great. Trooper liked Vincent immediately, and he sometimes takes a few minutes to warm up to new people. Trooper is sad now that he’s home with his parents (lol) so we know he had a great time. He can’t wait to visit his new friend again!”

“Sydney was absolutely wonderful with Luna. She consistently sent pictures and thoughtful updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. Luna looked genuinely happy and comfortable in her care. I truly can’t recommend Sydney enough!”

“This was our first stay with Christine with our new rescue, Hank. He's a big boy, a great dane, so he's not for everyone - even though he's just a gigantic couch potato. We tried boarding him in the past, but he would become depressed and stopped eating. We made Christine aware, and she worked with us to ensure the best way to deal with this if he should withdraw. However, none of that was necessary. Hank felt at home and loved right away. Sometimes, animals just know! To be honest, I began to worry he wouldn't want to come home! Christine's communication kept us updated during the course of our vacation, so we never worried at all. Thank you Christine!”

“Jillian was an absolutely amazing sitter for my five-year-old cane corso/pit mix. I appreciated her patience and flexibility, and her regular (and adorable!) updates. Bosco will be back again!”

Samantha watched my mom’s two dogs for a week, right after one of them was spayed and had a small lesion on her neck from having a bump removed. getting them back, they seem so happy, comfortable, and clearly very well taken care of! this was something we were really worried about since no one has ever watched them before, so we were so happy to receive nothing but great feedback and to see how comfortable they were when we got them back. thank you so much, Samantha! if you’re looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter, i definitely recommend her!! 🫶

Meredith was absolutely wonderful with our little Leo! He was at her home for four days and we received daily updates and pictures on all their adventures. She took him to the park and long walks and took extra special care to make sure he was comfortable. Without hesitation I will use her again and I highly recommend Meredith’s services if you want to feel confident that your pet is in wonderful loving hands!

Jonathan is the absolute best. I had an unplanned trip to Mexico last minute I was able to book last minute. I received updates Throughout the day. Kingston came back smelling great super happy and full. Typically my baby boy gets very bad separation anxiety and will stop eating. Jonathan made sure his anxiety was controlled. He was happy and a I couldn’t be any happier with his service. Thank you so much !!!!!

How lucky we are to have found Tokar to watch our Charli girl!! Tokar is warm and loving even welcoming Charli with her very own welcome sign on the porch when we arrived. We received picture updates and just knew Charli was having a great time. We look forward to seeing Tokar again!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
