Donna is fantastic! We booked a drop in visit and another 5 day stay from Donna for our 2 Golden Retrievers before her first visit with Henry and Bailey was over. We feel very confident leaving our two boys with her while we are out having fun. You can feel that way too if you book Donna.

About: I grew up with a standard poodle who stole my heart from the very beginning. He was truly my best friend and sparked my lifelong love of dogs. As an adult, our family had a Wheaten Terrier for 13½ years, and he was the most royal member of our household. I have a hybrid work schedule and get much of my exercise walking in between work sessions, so daily walks and outdoor time are a natural part of my routine. I’m also fairly flexible with my schedule, which allows me to give dogs the attention they deserve. Over the years, I’ve cared for many friends’ dogs and genuinely enjoy having them around, whether they’re calm companions or full of playful energy. Our home is a warm, relaxed environment where dogs are treated like part of the family. Your dog will be treated like part of our family. I look forward to meeting you and your pup! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine as I work from home most days of the week and enjoy power walks in between work sessions. Walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship easily fit into my schedule. Since I work from home on my computer, pets are rarely left alone and can relax nearby while I work, giving them plenty of attention throughout the day. I follow each pet’s normal routine, providing walks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of attention so they feel comfortable, safe, relaxed, and well cared for.

Bryan did a great job dog sitting Mikey. We had to cut our trip early due to the snow storm and Bryan was very flexible and took so much stress off our plate. Would highly recommend him to anyone planning a trip - especially dog owners like me who often stress about finding the right person for their pup!

Melissa was excellent with our old quirky nervous Maltese, who had a very difficult life a while ago. She had a good sense of protecting him, caring for him and giving him space. By the end of the day he was eating out of her hand and playing with her with his favorite toy. We could not have been more pleased.

Rachel is amazing! My husband and I are paranoid about leaving our dogs, until Rachel came into our lives! Our dogs love her (as do we) and I’ve never known them to listen and behave to anyone like they do with her!!! They love to be around her!! Rachel also saved the day when we had a MAJOR flight issue/cancellation and totally made sure that Tootsie and Lloyd were taken care of!!!! Can’t thank her enough!

About: Hi! My name is Joe Mattimoe, I’m a reliable dog walker/sitter based in beautiful Wall Township. Dogs have always been a big part of my life, and over the years I’ve gained experience walking, caring for, and connecting with dogs of every breed and personality. I also have some hands-on training experience through Wild Rover K9 Services in Point Pleasant, Where I gained practical skills in handling, basic obedience, and canine behavior—allowing me to provide calm, structured, and enjoyable walks tailored to each dog. Whether your dog is energetic or prefers a gentle stroll, I offer reliable, caring service every time. Their safety, happiness, and well-being are always my top priorities. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, experienced, and truly passionate about dogs, I’d love to help! I make my own schedule each month and have flexibility since I am semi-retired. Once I book a dog service, my day/week/schedule revolves around that client. I have access to a fenced in yard a walk away from my home (mother-in-law) it is a good way to get another walk in and then play. I can crate, and follow owner’s directions. If your dog needs to sleep in the bed, they will. If they need to be crated or left to roam around, they will. We take care of a special needs dog who has a hard time jumping up to the bay window in our home. We take the first pillow of the couch, place it on the floor so he can jump up and get to it. We rearrange the entire living room for this little guy and he loves it. Just an example.

About: Hi there! My name is Kristin and I have a lifelong passion for all animals. Growing up on a horse farm, I was surrounded by various animals and always had cats and dogs as pets. Outside of having pets growing up, I have helped out friends and family members with dog, cat, and house sitting for them over the past 10+ years. I have experience with a variety of breeds, ranging from big breeds such as Pitbulls and Boxers to smaller breeds like Yorkies and Jack Russells. I care for all animals with all my heart and your pets will be in loving hands with me! I work full time in Monmouth county, so weekends would be ideal for me. However, if your pet doesn't need to go out as frequently, I can definitely help out during the week. I am typically out of the house between 10am-6pm, so I can play with/walk/feed them before or after those times. Weekends are totally open for me so I can do whatever your pet needs. In my client's home, I will follow their typical routine and do whatever they do to care for their pets. I always respect their home and make sure I leave it as clean as possible.

Charlotte was amazing with our 2 dogs! We’ve had not so great experiences with dog sitters in the past and we are SO happy to have found Charlotte for both dog sitting in our home and drop ins. She treated our home like her own and kept it so clean and helped bring in our many packages. Our dogs can be very challenging, both high energy and anxious with new people. She was so patient and they loved her immediately! She kept us in the loop with photos and any updates for anything going on with them. We could not recommend her enough and will absolutely be using her for all of our future trips and drop in needs!

About: ***AVAILABLE JULY AND AUGUST, I WORK IN AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL*** I have had animals since I was kid and eventually adopted a dog of my own who had behavioral triggers and social restrictions that helped me learn a lot about dog and human safety. After his passing, I decided to work at the SPCA to have an animals lovin’ and I enjoyed every second of it. Because of my experience, they allowed me to work with the dogs who have a history and require more attentive care; seeing those babes go home is something I will never forget. I have some free time on my hands due to my 10 month employment at a school and don’t have a dog of my own to walk on these beautiful days! I’d love it if you let me spend some time with yours :) !!! I take care of my cats at home and we’re early risers! I have a pretty clear schedule except for the months where I am working at my school! I am used to the “closing up” of places (checking water bowls, collecting toys, locking the doors/gates) from my own personal experience and from working at the shelter. I like to make sure the animals are calm and happy so that the next time they see me, they’re closer to being as excited as I am!

About: Hi! I’m a dedicated and reliable pet lover with experience caring for animals of all ages and personalities. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members. I currently have two dogs, so caring for animals is a part of my everyday life. Over the years, I’ve cared for many pets through drop-in visits, dog walks, senior pet care and overnights. Whether your pet needs a quick potty break, a long walk, playtime, medication reminders, or just some extra love and attention while you’re away, I’m committed to making them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. One of my favorite parts of pet care is seeing the excitement on a dog’s face when I walk through the door. Building trust and creating a positive experience for every pet is something I truly enjoy. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always strive to provide dependable, compassionate care while giving you peace of mind. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members soon! 🤍 I currently am working part time at my job, but I old love to spend my mornings/afternoons taking care of your pets! My availability is flexible and can also accept weekend bookings I currently have a small fenced yard where my dogs are able to go out during the day and soak up the sun! They love being outdoors so we can play. I am willing to accommodate any type of service your pets need!

Meg was absolutely wonderful with our pups! They loved her the moment they met her. She is definitely a dog person. Meg took pictures of the pups during walks and when they were lounging in the living room. They looked so relaxed and chill, not looking as if they were anxiously missing us. She was very diligent in her care for our pups. We have two senior dogs, and one has special needs and she handled them as a pro. We are looking forward to having her watch them again.

Outstanding Care and Peace of Mind Due to health reasons, I had to find a new pet sitter very last minute after years with the same person, and I was extremely anxious—especially since our 10-year-old Labrador, Bleu, gets stressed when boarded and requires medications at very specific times for arthritis and seizures. From the Meet & Greet, I knew Dion was the right fit. She was reliable, professional, and an excellent communicator even before the booking began. Every day she sent updates and photos, which truly put my mind at ease. She followed all medication instructions perfectly and took wonderful care of Bleu. When we had to return home early due to an impending storm, Dion offered to get groceries for us and even to stay until we arrived in case our flight was delayed. She also checked in afterward and left our home spotless with fresh bedding ,folded laundry and more. Most importantly, Bleu loved her. We feel incredibly lucky to have found Dion and would trust her again without hesitation. Highly recommend!

Couldn't love Brandon more if we tried! He has the most calm and patient demeanor and took such good care of our little Dachshund, Ravioli. This was the first time we were leaving him alone with anyone but my fiance and me, so we were nervous. Brandon came for our dinners so we could have an evening out and he made fast friends with Ravioli. He also helped him through some firework fears as this was the 3rd of July. Ravioli was thrilled to see him on their second night and allowed us dinner in peace. Brandon threw his ball and played with him until he was all tuckered out. Thank you so much, Brandon!

Having a strong connection with my boys, I hoped to find someone who could empathize. Rachel empathized and cared for my nervous lab and demanding staffy for 9 days. But more importantly she took time to get to know my guys and me. They were walked, cared for (during a storm, and late evening). The care Rachel provided helped me to enjoy our trip without worry. Thank you, Rachel

Charlie was so attentive to our two pups during our longer vacation away. We have two senior dogs, one who requires a few different pills and she handled it all excellently. Our house was left perhaps better than we left it with clean dog dishes waiting for us! We got plenty of photo updates and she kept me in the loop when I worried about possible weather impacts when we were away! We would definitely use her services in the future!

FAQs for House Sitting - Wall Township

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Wall Township on Rover is $77.7 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 5,401 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wall Township. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wall Township walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wall Township maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wall Township choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wall Township. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
