“Audrey is a wonderful carer. She's been our go to sitter for three years. She is considerate, reliable and flexible. Our dogs love her and they're not the kind of dogs that love everyone.”

“Returned home to some very happy kitties! Stardust was very quick to respond and was great with communicating. After feeding them, Stardust took the time to play with the cats and they seem to have had a great time. Stardust was very considerate and thoughtful, and even took the time to bring in some packages that had arrived when I was gone. Would recommend!”

“My kitty loves Sarah!! Thank you so so much I sincerely appreciate helping me out with my home chef order while I was away! I know both kitty and my Wallace will look forward to future drop-in visits”
“Stella and Rachel did a good job caring for my kitty. And they watered my houseplants, too! I especially appreciated their timely and informative communication. It let me focus on fun and not fret about what was happening on the home front while I was away.”

“Christal was the absolute BEST, she was able to help us out in a emergency situation. She was super communicative, and appreciated the consistent updates with all her visits (I’m a worrywart ?). She very sweet and will absolutely book again when needed!”

“Kelsey was very responsive and texted great updates and photos during his drop-in visits for our cat and dog. He even sent me the screenshots of his walking length and route from Strava when he took our dog out for walks. I will definitely book with Kelsey again!”

About: *We do not accept bookings that give less than 48 hour notice from the start date. Sorry!* I am a professional dog trainer and breeder of Australian Shepherds. My family and I have moved all over the US and are now back in Washington! I used to run a fully operational boarding facility and board and train program in Island County and have decided to start out slow now that we're settled back in our home state. I have 20 years of experience training dogs- 15 of those years being a paid, licensed and insured professional. I take the utmost care of any animal in my charge. I treat them like family and honor all the requests made by owners to ensure their pet is treated perfectly when they are gone! I understand the love and care people have for their animals and do everything I can to show that same level of care when they are under my watch. I take videos and photos regularly to keep families updated, as well! I am a SAHM with decades of experience in the canine world. My dogs, and my clients, are my life. They are my whole routine! I am equipped to manage all varieties of dogs from the easiest house guest to dog aggressive cases or complicated medical needs. I tailor my services to each individual dog to give them the best possible care and allow their people to have some freedom and know their dog is well cared for. I make sure to chat with owners and let them know what variety of boarding I offer is most suitable for their dog. I am able to make multiple daily trips to feed, potty and play with client dogs in their homes. My times are very flexible and have often done combo stays- where your dog stays the night with me and I drive it to your home during the day and pick up again in the evening. This works well for senior dogs or puppies who need monitoring over night.
About: Caring for pets has always been one of my favorite things to do. I’ve been looking after cats and dogs since I was 10 years old, starting with walking my parents’ dog. Now, I have two indoor cats of my own who keep me busy and entertained every day. I make sure they stay active with plenty of playtime, attention, and cuddles, while also creating a calm and loving environment for them. I currently have open availability and a flexible schedule, allowing me to provide dependable, attentive pet care throughout the week, including mornings, evenings, and weekends. I’m dependable, respectful, and always follow pet care instructions closely. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and cared for with plenty of playtime and attention.
About: I’ve started at an early age training blue heelers. I retired my service dog two years ago. She is personally trained of off leash hiking. I have two cats. One loves hiking and biking with me. The other enjoys home activities and cuddles. No matter what your fur babies enjoy I can adapt. They enjoy walks and hikes, or they enjoy a good nap with some good home play I don’t mind. I will send the cutest pics and videos if you enjoy updates. I work Monday through Friday. Six am to two pm. I can take off lunch for potty and play time. Before work we can walk/eat/potty same with after. What ever the diet, exercise, or routine is I will continue them as requested. I understand how important diet, medication and routine is for our fur babies.

“Jordyn is a great pet sitter! Responsible, trustworthy, and she really made our sweet kitty feel loved while we were gone. I appreciated the daily report cards and photos. I could tell my fur baby was happy with Jordyn.”

“Thank you Madeline for loving our cats while we were out. She is prompt, and responsible. We trusted Madeline and would definitely contact her next time we are out of town.”

About: I have been around animals my whole life. I have been taking care/riding horses since I was 3, have 2 dogs (senior & adult), and I have my own leopard gecko! Animals tend to find my calm and collected demeanor comforting. I am a 2026 graduate and this summer I am working part time at Nonna Luisa’s in downtown Anacortes. I don’t start work until 4 and tend to have all of the morning to myself, so why not fill it with animals! I would create a personal pet plan with the owner to fulfill the pets needs. This could be walking, letting them out, or just keeping them company!

About: I believe dogs have the best souls on earth. Enjoy hiking, playing in the yard, or simply being in their space. I also enjoy training from puppy to advanced agility. I’ve trained a couple different types of dogs and a bird ranging in ages. Also able to transport locally to homes, vet, and or parks. My late sweet Pepper dog and I were Project Caine certified as a Therpy team, volunteers at island hospital, and Master Agility Champions. We look forward to meeting with other awesome dogs and their owners. I work in the travel industry, so my schedule varies. I usually know a couple weeks in advance. My spouse’s schedule varies too. Sometimes we are available 24/7 We treat Pets as Family in our home.🥰. We live on acreage close to Deception Pass. We have experience with administering 💊 medication to young and older fur babies 🐾
“Both Matt and Rachel were very nice and got along with our dogs well. We have some high maintenance pups and I felt very comfortable leaving them in Matt and Rachel’s hands. They were very accommodating and able to work with us through some schedule changes due to medical needs for one of our dogs.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Howards Corner
Sam was everything we hoped for & needed! We really appreciated & looked forward to her daily pics/updates. She clearly gave our fur boys the attention they needed. Came home to a clean house, when I know that didn’t come easy. Can’t wait to use her again in the future, thanks Sam! 🥰

Cassidy was amazing! This was my first time utilizing rover and finding a pet sitter for my cat and I felt like my cat was in great hands with Cassidy. Communication was quick and seamless prior to booking and during the serviced days. I actually had a power outage which warranted an emergency visit which Cassidy was on top of and made an extra trip to check in on my automatic water and feeder. Will definitely be rebooking in the future :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Howards Corner. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
