“We could not be more pleased with the care and love Sarah showed our two boys and ultimately us! She was responsive to any questions we had and kept us updated with photos of our two Burmese boys JJ and Jude. JJ is out shy to new folks and sometimes never warms up but he immediately took to Sarah. Thank you for your loving care and we will definitely hire Sarah again!!!”

“Upon getting home after my girls have had a visit from Brittany and her son, they are relaxed, grounded and well fed! She does a wonderful job of giving my girls so much attention and playtime. Follows instructions to the letter and communicates pre and post visit. I’d highly recommended her for your loved ones.”

“Virginia was my first Rover sitter, and I was very pleased with her service. I don't go away very often for just a dew days. Usually, I'm gone for a couple weeks at a time and find live-in sitters through Trusted Housesitters. My two cats are indoor outdoor, and that complicates their care. For my three day leave, my neighbor came over in the morning to put down their morning kibble and let the cats outside. Virginia came over in the late afternoon on her way to pick up her kids from school. She would call them inside for the night and put down their wet food. I wasn't sure it would work since they don't always come inside when I call them in the evening. Virginia sent me pictures each day of the cats inside during her 30 minute visit, so I was reassured. I will definitely look for Virginia again if I need to be gone for a few days.”

“Thank you Madeline for loving our cats while we were out. She is prompt, and responsible. We trusted Madeline and would definitely contact her next time we are out of town.”

“Literally a life saver! I booked last minute with her and she took care of everything with no problems. I know my dogs loved her and she’s very communicative. Will book with her again, i honestly might only book with her again haha. Thank you for everything again!”

“I can’t say enough about Holly! We have a very nervous pittie with a lot of trust issues. She made it her mission to be buddies with him while also giving him the space and time he needs. She has been great and has great communication skills! 10/10 recommend!”

“Took great care of our kitties with a very last minute booking after another rover cancelled. Made time for meet and greet and left everything as expected. Would recommend!”

“Jaimie is fabulous. My cat liked her immediately. She took lovely photos and kept me updated on my cat’s eating and litter activities, which I appreciated and made me feel confident that all was well. She made the right decision when faced with a mistake on my part. I trust Jaimie and would highly recommend her. You’d lucky to have her as a pet sitter!”

“Donna was very trustworthy in her drop in visits with my very shy and reticent cat. Not only did she make sure the food was replenished and the box was cleaned, she made an effort to engage with the cat. By the end of the 4 day assignment, Miss Kitty was beginning to make contact -- quite amazing. Thanks, Donna.”
“Audrey is a wonderful carer. She's been our go to sitter for three years. She is considerate, reliable and flexible. Our dogs love her and they're not the kind of dogs that love everyone.”

“Sienna was beyond wonderful. She took care of my sweet elderly cat for two weeks when I had to go out of town. Before I left, she came over to the house to get to know me and my cat; while I was gone, I got updates and pictures with every visit, and I knew Cat was in the best hands possible. I didn't worry for a second with Sienna taking care of her, and that was such a huge relief. If you need someone who truly takes their time to get to know you and your pets, look no further. She is absolutely the best pet sitter I've ever had.”

“We are always happy with Dasha! She spends good quality time with our Noodle and makes him feel safe and comfortable while we're away. She is so reliable and responsive.”

“Madison was very conscientious and thorough, she always let me know when she was dropping in and how my cat was doing. She’s very personable, down to earth, and trustworthy. We look forward to working with her again.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cornet. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
