“Kimberly was amazing with my dog. She is friendly, kind and very understanding. My dog had a great experience with Kimberly, I had daily pictures and updates. My dog was in good hands, I will recommend Kimberly to others and will use her service again.”

“Sarah was AMAZING. I was pretty nervous because my dogs aren’t as socialized as they should be. Sarah reassured me and kept me updated with regular photos and messages throughout my trip. Her communication and flexibility with my schedule was beyond exceptional. My two dogs came back home happy with lots of playful energy which tells me enough about their stay! And to top it off, she sent my girls home with cute little pink bandannas ☺️”

“We had such a wonderful experience with Brianna! She boarded our two dogs for several days and went above and beyond in every way. She sent frequent update photos, which gave us so much peace of mind, and was incredibly attentive to all of their needs. It was clear our dogs were happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. Brianna was accommodating, reliable, and genuinely caring. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. We would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional dog care!”

“April so kind and caring when it came to my pup! I had to find care last minute, which caused a lot of stress for me. She soothed all my doubts and make sure my girl had a great stay. April is definitely somebody that I will book with for future boarding needs! :)”

“My dog loved staying here. They were very friendly and sent me pictures, keeping me updated throughout the whole stay. I will definitely be bringing him back!”

“Aarika was very responsive, polite and flexible. I felt that she was easily accessible. My pup was very happy and clearly well taken care of. It was clear to me that she treated him as if he was her own and that’s exactly what I’m looking for in a Dog Sitter . I almost don’t want to leave her a good review because I want to keep her services all to myself! Haha .”

“Katie was a life saver after our kennel declined to take our dog who had stitches in his mouth. Because of this we were able to keep our vacation plans. Katie was also accommodating to the special needs of our dog (no playing or toys in the mouth due to stitches). Katie and her family took wonderful care of our baby and was very easy to work with, not to mention economical. Katie took extra time to take pictures and keep us updated on our pup.”

“Hayley was AWESOME! She went way above and beyond to take care of our pug. Super responsive, and sent lots of pics and updates while we were away. She even bought our pug a little toy, which she totally loves. We highly recommend Hayley. You’re the best! Thanks, Hayley!”

“Deidre is the best! She took care of our two very energetic dogs for four days and it went great! Deidre is an excellent communicator and a wonderful dog whisperer. We’ll definitely be asking for her to care for the dogs again.”

“Lenore took the absolute best care one could hope for of my German Shepherd, Maggie. Over the course of the weekend my plans changed, and Lenore was exceptionally flexible. I was able to enjoy my weekend away, completely assured that Maggie was in truly capable hands and cared for by a compassionate heart. Maggie and Lenore‘s dog Rook also got along famously. It’s not just a relief. I have finally found Maggie‘s home away from home.”

“Simply put, Rene was a gift. Our senior dog has multiple issues and I was nervous about leaving her for a week with a sitter. I could not have asked for a more caring, responsible and patient pet-sitter than Rene. She is a wonderful human being with a huge heart for animals.”

“Thank you so much Isaac. Looked like Emma loved playing with your sweet dogs. She came home happy. We will most definitely your your boarding services again. We appreciated all of your updates and puctures. She certainly took advantage of all your amenities. She rules our house too. Im sad to say ;) Have a great Christmas. Ann and Emma”

“Jennifer was great with my dog, Cooper. He had a great time and slept for hours after he got home...a good sign of a good play :) We were gone for a week and I continually received pictures and videos of Cooper playing and having fun. She is an obvious dog lover and takes very good care of them. I would definitely recommend Jennifer and would use her again in the future.”

“Jory did a great job of caring for our dogs! He was so helpful when our flight was delayed & changed our pick up time. The dogs seemed really happy. This is our second stay with Jory & we have two more stays booked in the future.”

“Ashley helped us out on a very short term basis. She took really good care of our dog Dobby that suffers separation anxiety. We corresponded throughout the booking and it seems that Dobby got over the anxiety and played with the other doggies and humans. Dobby seemed to be in great spirits when I picked her up. We would trust our dog with Ashley anytime.”

“Our fur goblin Vivi had a fabulous stay with Kara and her pup Doc! Vivi is an energetic gal who loves play and walks, and had a good time with the toy basket at Kara’s place. We appreciated Kara’s updates, photos, and even a video of Vivi and Doc playing together. We felt very comfortable leaving Vivi in Kara’s care.”

“Very good stay for my dog. Roxanne is a real pro & not only made my timid dog a part of her family, but she also kept me informed as to how she was doing (including photos). We will be using her again the next time we need to board our dog.”

“My dog loved his stay with Adrienne. Max daily enjoyed the fenced back yard, hanging with her family during the day, and all the walks and smells in her neighborhood. He felt safe and loved. I would highly recommend Adrienne!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Cornet
Sophie was the best sitter for our pup while we took an Island Adventures whale watching cruise. Nestled between the state park and cruise dock made drop off after a foray at Rosario Beach a breeze. She accommodated our pups moody demeanor with ease and sent pics, even for a quick stay. Great communication, would recommend while exploring the islands and will use again when the need arises.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Cornet home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Cornet.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Cornet sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
