About: My husband and I have been around dogs our entire lives and have hands-on experience caring for them in a home environment. Currently, we have a large, professionally trained dog who has helped us develop strong skills in structure, consistency, and understanding dog behavior. She was trained through 6 months, and we continue to reinforce that training daily, so I’m very comfortable with commands, routines, and maintaining a calm, well-balanced environment. We recently adopted our dog and felt so awful about having to leave him again so soon after he came to live with us, but she was very reassuring and compassionate. A few days before our trip we found out our dog had an ear infection and Charlene said she was willing to do his 2x a day ear care which was greatly appreciated. We have a shaded back deck that our past pup loved lounging out on and that connects right to the fenced back yard. A calm, dog-free household means your pup gets constant, undivided attention and a low-stress environment with no other animals around. I keep a close eye on dogs throughout the day and never leave a guest pup unsupervised in a new space until I know they're settled and comfortable. We have a securely fenced yard that's regularly treated for ticks, giving your dog a safe place to play, sniff, and relax outdoors. I always supervise outdoor time and check the gate before any yard play. For walks, we're in a wonderful, dog-friendly neighborhood, and I keep dogs leashed and close on every outing. I'll happily follow whatever routine your dog already knows — feeding schedule, walk times, potty breaks, medications, and any house rules or quirks. Consistency helps them feel at home faster, so I like to learn their normal before they arrive.
