“Mary and her family were fantastic. They took such great care Stella and managed to find a way to tire her out, which is no easy feat. She took plenty of pictures while I was away so I could see how much fun Stella was having and that I knew she was in great hands. “Keeta was well taken care of on her stay. I received pictures and updates while I was gone. I am so thankful to have found a wonderful person like Laura to take care of my girl. Thank you so much Laura!”

About: I've had family dogs as long as I can remember and enjoy their company. From puppy to senior I have experience with pet needs and would love to treat your furry friend as our own! Currently available to walk in the late afternoons and evenings on the weekends and evenings only on week days. Only providing dog walking services for now. “Janis and family did a fantastic job in making my dog, Cubbie, feel welcomed and well taken care of. I received daily photos in which I could tell that she was happy and enjoying her stay, unlike the times I took her to an Animal Hospital for boarding. I highly recommend Janis if you are looking for a great stay for your fur baby!!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Hobart
Daryl was absolutely amazing with Jellybean this week. My cat is extraordinarily shy in new environments, and Daryl was super patient, keeping me up to date with pictures and texts on his progress to eventually leave his crate and getting comfortable with her family. She even built a fort so that he could have a safe space to hide and provided him a quiet space to retreat to if he was anxious. I could not ask for a better sitter for him. Thanks again!

We had a great experience with Serena and her family while our dog, Stella, stayed with them for eight days. From the start, it was clear Stella was in a warm and welcoming environment, and she quickly settled right in. Serena and her family were incredibly kind and gracious, and it really showed in how happy and comfortable Stella was during her stay. It gave us a lot of peace of mind knowing she was being well cared for and treated like part of the family. One of the highlights was that Stella even came home having learned a few new tricks! It’s obvious that Serena goes above and beyond, not just looking after the dogs but actually spending quality time with them. We’re very grateful for the care Stella received and wouldn’t hesitate to book with Serena again. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive pet sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
