“We’ve done three successful stays at Eleanor’s! Our dog has a great time - they were patient with her when it stormed and she was scared. Communication was excellent. Drop off and pick up was flexible. Great experience!”

“Iman provided top tier service! This was my first time using this app. Typically my dog would stay with family members while I'm out of town. My dog sitter plans fell through at the last minute and Iman was gracious enough to take in Coco without any advanced notice. Iman sent daily photos and videos and eased all of anxiety. I knew Coco was in good hands and I was able to enjoy my trip. Iman even surprised us on the last day with beautiful edited photos of Coco.”

“April is great! Our dog is shy at first but April and her pack made him feel at home. She spent quality one on one time with him and I’m so appreciative of that! She is a phenomenal dog sitter and we’re definitely going to use her pet sitting services again! Thanks for everything April!”

“This was my first time leaving my fur baby with Ana and Byron. I was a little nervous as I didn’t know how she would react being in a new environment. Needless to say my worries were eased as soon as I saw pics and videos of her outside going for a walk or simply just laying on Byron’s lap. I will definitely be using them again as my fur baby was content and well taken care of.”

“Alexis watched our baby girl Cookie and we had such peace of mind with the regular updates and pictures she sent! She also helped with some great tips for our little pup! We couldn’t be happier and look forward to having her watch our Cookie girl again!!!”

“Shani (and her kiddos☺️) LOVED on my pup while I was away. Shani was an excellent communicator and sent update photos and videos, too. I really appreciated such good communication and how well Lady was taken care of. When you see your dog smiling in the update photos, you know it’s real. I’ll be looking to book Shani for my next trip away.”

“Tonisa was great!! We did a meet and greet first. She was accommodating of any special needs and took care of Rocky like her own! Great with pictures and videos too! Rocky will be back to see Ava, his new friend.”

“Mercedes is the best at what she does. My dog loves her and her family. Very loving and caring and gives constant updates so you feel at ease if you’re wondering how your pet is doing. Overall 5stars and would highly recommend. Thanks again Mercedes. See you next trip!”

“I can't imagine a better person to leave our Parker Boy with! Heather took the best care of our dog and sent pictures and videos to keep our minds at ease while we were apart from him. She made him feel like a part of the family and made sure to do whatever she could to make him comfortable. We would recommend Heather to anyone looking for a sitter for their furry friends!!”

“This is my second time letting Janet watch my dog Charlie. It was great, she sent plenty of pictures and Charlie is really comfortable with Janet. Another great visit!”

“Niyah did a really good job with my dog Lady. Niyah sent me pictures of Lady daily to show me that Lady was okay. Niyah was responsive when I reach out to her and she replied immediately to all of my text messages. Lady returned home happy and she was returned back to me in the same condition I left her. If I need a dog sitter in the future I would leave Lady with her again. Thank you Niyah for taking care of Lady with short notice during the Holiday.”

About: I am an animal lover who has successfully raised both cats and dogs. Not only would I treat your pets as my own, but you will be updated frequently on the well-being of your pet. I enjoy all animals and have trained several dogs throughout the years. Before becoming interested in Rover, I have previously housed several dogs for friends and family members through WAG. With currently being in school to become a veterinarian, working with Rover would be a wonderful opportunity to become even more involved with taking care of animals. I am currently home full-time and will be easily accessible. With allowing me to house your fuzzy loved ones, be prepared for a very nice, professional, loving, and safe experience for the both of you. I currently work from home so I will have ample time to be present and support your fur baby. Daily walks and treats are provided I have a large fenced in yard for play time. I also provide as many updates as you need; this includes pictures and videos of your pet.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Highland
I was so nervous to leave my dogs for a week since I rarely ever spend time away with them. I chose Cassidy because of her experience and many great reviews. As soon as I received updates the very first night, I was finally able to relax and enjoy my vacation. Cassidy gave updates frequently and sent me lots of pictures whenever she could. She was so accommodating to my dog Ace and she made sure to wash him after he had a few accidents in the cage due to his anxiety. My dogs had so much fun and they were well taken care of while I was gone. Cassidy is communicative, accommodating and a very trustworthy dog sitter.

Holly did an amazing job watching our two dogs! She was attentive, communicative, and treated them like her own. It’s clear she genuinely cares about animals and we felt completely comfortable leaving them in her care. Our pups came back happy and well cared for. We highly recommend Holly and would absolutely book with her again!

Stephanie is a one of the best sitters I’ve ever met! She cared for my pup as if he was her own. She took my pup to a vet appointment when he wasn’t feeling well and also gave him his necessary meds! I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! Thanks again for everything🫶🏾

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
