“Rolanda was amazing! She was extremely nice throughout the entire process and helped me with any questions I had. She constantly kept me updated with pictures and it looked like my Bella had so much fun. From drop off to pick up she was just incredible and it was a really smooth process. Her communication is on point and she kept me comfortable throughout the process. Being that this was the first time I used this app I was nervous, but not anymore; I will definitely be using her again!”

About: I offer crate training and potty training for puppies. I understand that importance of keeping a puppy schedule to avoid unwanted accidents during visits away. I currently do home care blocks away from home. I have the ability to come home feed pups , walk them, and potty breaks during the day I spend an ample amount of time with each pup to get a personality feel so they can feel comfortable in my home away from their family. trust in me for the best care of your family member. because yes, we know they are part of the family.
“Shani was so great! This was our first time leaving our dog Lucy and Shani made us feel comfortable providing daily updates with photos and videos. Lucy loved being at her home and we will definitely return!”

“Patricia is a wonderful & caring person who treats your dog like family. Not knowing what we would expect in her care for our dog Stella due to her medical issues , Patricia went above & beyond what we ever imagined. She allowed us to enjoy our vacation & not worry about our Stella while we were thousands of miles away. She is a gem!!”

“Janet was the best! I was nervous to leave my dog behind, but she eased my fears. She sent me pictures every day and her dogs welcomed my dog into their pack right away. He was sad to come home! I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful sitter. We’ll definitely be repeat customers! Thank you, Janet!”

“Rachel is a lifesaver and proven to be completely flexible. She was able to board my pup on 30 min notice AND was able to keep him an extra day that wasn't planned. Will definitely book with her again!”

“I really appreciate the love and care Anna gives to my dog. My dog is an Akita and not too many people would agree to board him. Koa seems to love his time spent with Anna and her dogs. I would recommend her to anyone that needs to board their pet.”

“This was my first time sending my baby with someone out of family and friends and what a wonderful experience!! Doris was kind and accommodating with my schedule. My furry baby fell in love with her, her baby and the space!! He didn't want to leave, even if he was happy to see me...he wanted US to stay. He has been moping all day from the hour car ride home to seeing his bed, toys, yard and Daddy...he really enjoyed himself there. I will ALWAYS book with Doris if we have to go anywhere. The only negative...I chose someone that was quite a distance from me...I would love to do weekly play dates!! Thank you for your kindness, pictures and updates Doris, we all appreciate it!!!”

“Najah was so great with Kash. So much so, he didn't act like he wanted to leave her. She kept me updated on his behavior and how ge was doing the entire time with texts & photos. I will definitely be boarding with Najah again.”

“Bernice was an angel. Before I booked I told her that I was driving to take my daughter back to school. Then the storm and power outage came. She didn’t cancel despite what she was dealing with. That was so nice of her to think of me during that time cause I honestly didn’t have a back-up. She sent plenty of pictures and she kept me posted on how he was doing. I can tell from the photos that he was enjoying himself. I will definitely book her again.”

“Eleanor did a fantastic job caring for our senior dog who needed medication administered at specific times. She was pro-active about getting an understanding of our pet’s physical limitations, and clearly made an effort to make sure his stay was comfortable and safe. Eleanor has the kind of experience and ease with dogs that should make any perspective client comfortable with leaving their pet in her care.”

“Mia really enjoyed her stay with Candace and her family. Her home was so inviting, when she took me to see her fenced yard the first thing I said was the area was very calming and relaxing. Candace sent me updates and pictures throughout the entire stay. I will definitely book with Candace again!”

“I recently had the pleasure of booking Kendra for a last minute weekend stay for my favorite fur baby Rogue. Kendra got back to me rapidly after I requested to book and immediately set up a meet and greet session in an area convenient for the both of us. She has very good energy and her natural love and care for dogs showed right away in how she greeted Rogue. She was very clear on her instructions for the weekend stay and sent ample updates and pics to make sure we knew that Rogues was being well taken care of during her stay. I would definitely book Kendra again, and felt that she did a wonderful job taking care of our dog especially with such short notice.”

“Beverly was amazing!!! I reached out 4 days before our trip, she accepted and setup up a meet & greet for the very next day. She sent us pics and updates daily. She made our trip much easier to enjoy knowing our dog was in good hands. Will definitely book again!!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
