“CoCo had a wonderful time at Cathy’s! She is very knowledgeable about dogs and truly passionate about their care. She exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to booking her again.”

“This was my first time using Sharon and all went well. She sent photos and videos of Lily and took Lily on frequent walks. She was quick to respond to my texts. I really appreciate Sharon’s responsible and professional nature. And when I picked up Lily at the end of her stay, Sharon gifted her a bag of treats and toys and a thank you note! I will definitely use Sharon again.”
“Rover was quick, easy. The fact that the people who keep your dogs are vetted, is very important to me. Jesus was referral to me. He was wonderful with McKenzie. He was kind, understanding & patient with my elderly dog. He was extremely professional. I will definitely use Rover again & Jesus - absolutely! It was a very positive experience for me & my dog!!”

“Sheree did a fantastic job caring for our Bailey. I would describe her as the “Dog Whisperer”! I feel she is in tune with issues dogs may be experiencing. Her environment is very dog friendly. I highly recommend her! ♥️”

About: I've been surrounded by furry friends since day one! 🐶 Seriously, I can't remember a time without a doggo by my side. Thinking about all the pets I've had makes me so happy. 🥰 Anyone else feel like their pets are family? It's the best kind of love! Enjoying the freedom of open schedule currently at home full-time. So furry buddies will get Daily walks around the lake to offer a refreshing escape. Relaxing time outside under tree shade help me do some gardening🤣. Dogs will be created when I am not home. I currently own a golden retriever. She's a friendly dog. I don't have a fenced in yard my dog listens to commands. Leashes and yard leads will be used. At night dogs will be in their creates.
“Alicia was great. My puppy just got spayed recently and needed to take meds to help with recovery and she was able to administer them as scheduled which made me feel at ease. She was great with her and I would definitely use her service again”

“Juliana is amazing. She was able to accommodate on such a last minute booking. Her eager to understand your pet is beyond grateful. She cares to the needs of the your pet in every aspect including teaching and developing. We look forward to holding onto Juliana for future bookings and continuing seeing her grow with her pet care and support. Thanks for everything Juliana, we appreciate you so much.”
“Noel jumped in when I needed a sitter last minute. She took excellent care of Clyde and will continue to use her. She kept me updated and I feel so at peace knowing that she and her family are there for my big guy while my husband heals from his back surgery.”

“Daryl boarded our dog from the 23rd through the 24th and she was amazing! Our dog is, for the most part, very high maintenance and craves personalized attention and that is what he got for two days being with Daryl. We had looked at other boarders, ones with other dogs, ones with various other animal types, kids etc... and just watching Chief interact with Daryl was incredible. He immediately took to her and to the environment, was playing, jumping and even napping almost right away. We were sent photos consistently while we were away and just seeing him happy and playful and even how tired he was was a wonderful sight. We would definitely recommend anyone who is looking to have their dog boarded to consider Daryl, especially if they require more personal attention. She did great!!”
“Duane was awesome! He was flexible with a last minute request to change drop off times. He sent us updates and daily photos throughout the day and our pups came back so happy! We will definitely book with Duane in the future, thank you Duane! 🐾 Addison, Lola & Goku”

“Kassia is an excellent pet caregiver. Our goldendoodle, Sherby, is very attached to living with a family, and we were so relieved to have him stay in Kassia’s caring home while we were out of town. Already looking to book Kassia for our next vacation this summer.”

“Amazing dog sitter! Our pooch was so happy when we picked her up, and David sent plenty of photos and updates and was readily accessible to contact - will definitely be using again, I highly recommend!”

“Doris was a Godsend! She gladly accepted our puppy into her home for a week while we were away on vacation. She sent pictures daily and kept us informed of how he was adjusting to being in a new environment and around other dogs. When we picked him up he was excited to see us but didn’t want to leave. We will surely be in contact with her for all future boarding needs!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Merrillville
Bernice was an angel. Before I booked I told her that I was driving to take my daughter back to school. Then the storm and power outage came. She didn’t cancel despite what she was dealing with. That was so nice of her to think of me during that time cause I honestly didn’t have a back-up. She sent plenty of pictures and she kept me posted on how he was doing. I can tell from the photos that he was enjoying himself. I will definitely book her again.

April was phenomenal start to finish. This was our first time using Rover so we didn't know what to expect. April explained everything and allowed us to bring our dogs over ahead of time to meet her and to see her home. We felt beyond comfortable immediately. She is a TRUE animal lover. The night before our trip -- one of our babies had to be brought to the ER vet for some stitches. He was sent home with 2 different medications. We were so worried about leaving but April was never hesitant - and was only reassuring that everything was going to be fine. Lets just say we came home after a week to pick them up and they were happier then we have ever seen our babies! It appeared they had a better vacation then we did! We recommend April 10000% - and we may take more trips knowing we found someone who we trust.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
