âWhat a wonderful daycare for our 11 month old, high energy black lab. Mackenzie had to deal with a lot from our Eddie, and she handled him so well. Her other dogs are such a delight, fun and happy!â

âHer dog loves running with mine on the beach. A great setup for more controlled off-leash play. Rebecca is very open and understanding about anxious dogs!â

About: I've been caring for many different kinds of animals for nearly 22 years and been caring for pets on Rover for 3! My parents raised show dogs, my grandparents had livestock and horses, and of course every kind of pet under the sun (lizards and guinea pigs included!) My goal is to provide the same top quality love and attention that you do, no matter the service or time of day! I have an entirely open schedule and availability. This means I'm able to provide the love, attention, and care your pet needs and deserves whenever you need! If you donât see a pet-care package that suits your needs, please reach out with what youâre looking for and we can figure it out. In both my home and yours, safety and comfort are my top priority. I adjust my care to the needs of each individual pet, medical and dietary needs included! Collars are worn during any stay, air purification systems are in place for those with breathing problems, and I have security cameras installed inside the home. With these safety measures, I can guarantee a calming space full of play and snuggles for every pet while their family is away.
âMeghann was so responsive when we reached out somewhat last-minute and communicated seamlessly while providing care for Monte. Would absolutely recommend Meghann and weâll be using her again!â

About: Hi! Iâm Kelsey đ Iâm a Des Moines native living downtown and working from home full-time. Iâm a proud pet mom to Charlie, my Labrador mix, and Blue, my domestic shorthair cat. Theyâre my babies. Iâve spent my life caring for animals and have experience with dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, and amphibians. I focus on safety, routine, and low-stress care, and I treat every pet like one of my own. Iâm comfortable administering daily medications and providing extra care for senior pets or pets with special needs. I love getting to know each petâs personality, quirks, and routine so they feel safe, happy, and right at home while youâre away. Since I work from home full-time, your pet will get lots of supervision, potty breaks, playtime, enrichment activities, treats (if approved!), and plenty of love throughout the day. I aim to create a calm, cozy, structured routine so your pet feels safe, comfortable, and right at home at the Paw Pad. Drop-off and pick-up hours are between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with earlier or later arrangements available when discussed in advance. To keep everyone safe and happy: ⢠Pets should be friendly with people and other animals ⢠Vaccinations and flea/tick prevention should be up to date ⢠Owners provide food, medications, and care instructions ⢠Please share any routines, quirks, or special needs ahead of time Youâll get photo updates during your petâs stay â and photos taken during services may be shared on my Rover or social media pages unless requested otherwise. Your petâs safety and comfort are my top priority. I follow each petâs routine and care instructions closely, maintain a clean and secure environment, and provide hands-on supervision throughout the day since I work from home full-time. Pets are introduced slowly and thoughtfully when needed, and I always prioritize calm, positive interactions. Each pet has access to a comfortable space to relax, eat, and sleep. I stay observant of behavior, appetite, energy levels, and overall wellbeing to make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for.
About: Iâve been around dogs my whole life. I had my own pup since I was 2, and he was truly my best friend. I cared for him through his senior years, giving him meds, comfort, and gentle support right up until he passed on Halloween. Because of that, I understand how to be patient, loving, and calm with older dogs, and I treat every pet like family. Your dog will get real care, attention, and kindness with me. Iâm currently looking for a job, so my schedule is very flexible. Iâm available any day of the week for drop-ins and pet sitting. Iâm not offering walks right now this time of the year. When caring for dogs, I focus on keeping them comfortable, safe, and loved. I follow their routine, give lots of attention, make sure theyâre fed on time, and keep their space clean. I also have a fenced-in backyard, so dogs can get fresh air and play safely. Iâm patient, gentle, and always pay attention to their needs so they feel at home with me.
About: I have been working with dogs since I was in fifth grade. I started off as an avid dog show girl and I learned quickly how to train dogs and realized I love working with animals. I started teaching other people how to train dogs when I was 15 and when I turned 18 got my license to judge dog shows! I have had dogs come to my house when they were puppies and I taught them basic commands while I watched them for a week. For the past few years I have done sitting in the dogs home, but now that I have my own pup I am starting to board here. I have worked with dogs of all sizes, ages, and with different mannerisms and I aim to make them feel at home in my care. I have experience giving injections and oral medicine, as well as caring for dogs who can not easily get around on their own. I currently work in West Des Moines, if you book me during the week for overnights I will be gone during the days but drop in over my lunch for potty breaks! On the weekends I try to stay at the house as much as possible unless you just need short drop ins! I will always make sure I know the best way to care for your babies! Whether it is always watching the door for escape artists, or double checking their harnesses before every walk. I want you to always feel and ease and I do not take this job lightly, as these are not just animals but a member of your family!
âKevin and Ricky were very nice. My Ollie loved meeting them and played well with Ricky. Kevin communicated well and I had no worries knowing he was caring for Ollie.â

About: I grew up on a farm, caring for pets of all shapes and sizes! I've had many dogs over the years, from young to old and big to small. I am experienced with giving medication, baths, nail trims and love! I am very adaptable to your pets needs. I am currently in college, so I do have classes 4 days a week (Mon- Thurs). I am only away from home 4 hours at the most, and can make stops in to my apartment between classes on longer days. I am able to host pets in my apartment! I live in an upstairs studio apartment and spend much of my time there, when not in school. I have a 360°camera installed to watch your pet if I have to spend any time away. My apartment complex has a spacious lawn that is entirely fenced in. In my clients home, I am extra careful to follow any house rules. In case of overnight caretaking, I am comfortable with any sleeping arrangements (couch etc.). My top priorities are your pup and your preferences!
About: Iâve been caring for pets my entire life and bring years of hands-on, long-term experience. My family has owned the same dog for 18 years and a cat for 10 years, and I was actively involved in their care while growing up, giving me a strong understanding of pets at every life stage. Now, Iâm the primary caretaker of my nearly two-year-old Mini Aussie, handling everything from daily feedings and walks to grooming, vet visits, and administering medication when needed. What sets me apart is the genuine love and attention I provide, plenty of playtime, cuddles, and personalized care, treating every pet as if they were my own. đž I own a dog and take her care very seriously, truly treating her like family. I make sure she eats two consistent meals a day, gets at least a half-mile walk, and receives plenty of attention and affection. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine, and I plan to put the same level of effort, consistency, and love into caring for your animals as I do my own. I care for pets by sticking closely to their normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions such as medication. Whether in my home or a clientâs home, I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while keeping their environment clean and stress-free. My goal is to provide consistent, reliable care and peace of mind for owners.
âSo thankful Kayla could help out really last minute! I just moved to the area and needed someone to watch my Roxy while our household goods were being delivered. She took in Roxy and loved on her just as I would. I am happy to have found someone local to watch Roxy in the future and would 100% use Kayla again!â

Highland Park dog parents share their Rover experiences
Rylee was a responsible and responsive sitter. She took great care of my elderly pup, feeding her, administering medication, sending me pics in a regular basis and making sure she stayed happy and safe. My pup was walked, loved on, given treats and even taken out for a pup cup. When I picked her up on the second day of care, my pup was happy to see me but disappointed to leave her pal Rylee. I will absolutely reach out again for care in the future and share Ryleeâs profile with my family in Des Moines!
