“This was an amazing experience! I needed to make a trip to Ankeny and couldn’t leave my dog home for that long of a time so I hopped on this app and found her, so glad I did! He was a little scared at first but shortly made himself at home. Good communication and she sent photos! Made me feel good 💕I will be contacting Meagan again!”

“I was in DSM for a short trip and needed a last minute sitter for my dog Louie and was so lucky to find Kevin had availability to take him for a whole day. From start to finish Kevin was responsive, respectful and responsible with me and my dog. I would trust him over and over if I lived in DSM. Highly recommended!”

About: I have lots of experience with dogs of all ages (my corgi, Vinnie had some back and hip issues at the end of his life) and all sizes. I grew up with labs and had my corgi for nearly 10 years. I have helped friends and family care for their dogs over the past 20 years. While I have not cared for strangers’ dogs, I love every pet I come into contact with like family and treat them as such. I have also recently volunteered with the ARL which gave me experience caring for many different breeds and varying needs. I work from home and would care for your pet throughout the day! I am willing to do long and short walks, or just play with your pet! Playing, cuddles, walks, potty breaks, whatever they need! I am very good at recognizing the tells for various dogs. I can usually tell when they need to go outside, need water or are anxious. I will adjust to what the dogs need and am a very open communicator. My house is clean, and safe for pets. I do have stairs in my home, but am willing to work with dogs who need additional support.

“Samantha is amazing! So are her pets! We booked last minute and she was so willing to work with us! She is very responsive, will get back to you quickly. She sends lots of videos and pictures throughout your pets day! Your pet will get plenty of exercise if you book with Samantha! We have already booked another week with her! My ONLY negative with her would be Ollie is definitely going to miss his friends! ☺️”

“Such amazing care that my dog never wants to leave!”

About: Hey there! I’m Rachel and I’ve had a family dog for as long as I can remember. But now I have a family of my own- my partner and I have 4 kids and a mini zoo with 1 bunny, 2 ball pythons, 1 bearded dragon, 2 dogs, 4 cats, 6 mourning geckos and 6 aquariums with fish, snails, dwarf crayfish and shrimp. So, I have a lot of experience with a wide range of animals. Since I’ve started pet sitting on Rover I’ve also gained experience with raw feeding cats and dogs, chicken wrangling, mini home repairs, tree moving, raspberry picking and goose whispering. I used to volunteer every day at the local animal shelter while I was in highschool where I got tons of experience with all types of dogs and frequently helped out the neighbors with their escape artist husky! I previously worked as an assistant dog trainer. I’ve gotten tons of experience with how to better read animal’s body language, create and maintained presence control and facilitate healthy play. While most of my experience is with dogs, I am a true animal lover. One of the biggest perks of having me as your sitter is that our whole family helps take part. My 15 year old, Bella, is usually heavily involved in the care of the animals we sit. My other 3 younger kids also absolute love to take care of and play with all the animals. If your pets like to hang out and play with kids, get attention all day long… your pets are in for a treat with us! (For boarding) We truly strive to give dogs a home-away-from-home experience where they just jump right into our routine. Most of the time they end up sleeping in bed with one of our kids, playing with us outside, getting loves on the couch- all the stuff a family dog can expect. We stand proudly in our family beliefs of qualify pet care and don’t want to be a boarding spot where they put your animal in a kennel, let them out twice a day and charge you extra for playtime or potty breaks. (For pet sitting at home): We do come and go more often when we are sitting pets at their own home but we still make it a family affair. We make sure to drop-in frequently to check on them, feed them, let them out and play with them! Bella loves to hang out with our pet clients and play with them. Sometimes I bring a different kiddo to stay the night with me each night so that they all get a chance to give individual attention to the animals we are watching. We also watch over the house and property. At one pet sit, there was a storm that ran through and a massive branch broke into the pet parent’s driveway, front yard, sidewalk and street! After we notified the owners, Bella and I got it moved out of the way of the street and sidewalk so the pet parents didn’t have to worry about it until they got home. We understand that pet sitting is more than just watching the pets at home and we like to provide a holistic approach. My wife, Leigh also cleans and manages houses when she isn’t at home with our kids. She was the manager and trainer at a locally owned high-end home management company for many years. If you want your house cleaned or you have an organizational project you want completed while you’re gone, let me know! Leigh would be happy to chat with you, figure out what you’re wanting accomplished and get it done while you’re gone. She’s got a plethora of clients who continue to be impressed with her work and ask her to come back as proof of a job well done- so it’s not just my (possibly biased) opinion. 😉 I work as a school bus driver primarily so it leaves my summer & most major holidays pretty open! When I am at work my wife is usually home with some or all of the kids, so even when I’m busy- we have the ability to care for pets. I am pretty flexible but my main priority is making sure I am respectful of your space as much as I would want someone to be respectful of mine. Taking photos and communicating heavily with pet parents is top priority for me. If you wish to have less communication, just let me know so I don’t send too many cute pictures of your pets! I know what a big deal it is to leave my pets in the care of someone else and as a result, I take the responsibility very seriously myself.

About: Caring for people and pets comes naturally to me. I worked in nursing for several years before leaving to care for my father full time. I have 3 dogs of my own, and have had 3 previously to these as well. I am a big believer in fresh air and exercise. Let's get those steps in for your 4 legged family member. I don't work a regular job, I care for my elderly father and do some side work here and there. So I am available for walking or drop in visits at a moments notice. I have a fenced in yard and food and treats at the ready. Many leashes and brushes and more. I have 3 dogs of my own that love to play with each other and yours too. I can also keep my dogs away if yours isn't socialized to others.

About: I prefer to dog sit in my own home or offer drop in service as I have dogs of my own at home. I know how important it is to feel comfortable knowing your pet is well loved and cared for while you're away from home and to be able to have that peace of mind. My baby (4 y/o spayed female) gets along well with any size/breed of dog and would LOVE to make new friends! Let me help you put your mind at ease and love on your 4 legged friend or friends. I can't wait to meet your fur babies! 💞 I work from home so I am present all day, not usually gone for more than a couple hours in the evening if at all. At home, I am present all day for bathroom breaks and playtime (or sun naps) in the fenced backyard. I do not force my dog to stay off furniture or out of the bed but can easily crate your baby if needed/required. My dog is crate trained but free roams while I'm away unless I'm dog sitting where crating is needed. In your home, I'll do as asked. I prefer to spend some play time with them rather than just potty and leave where possible to make sure they are getting exercise and attention while you're away.

About: Growing up surrounded by the love and joy of dogs, I’ve been a devoted pet enthusiast since my early years. With a lifetime of firsthand experience in providing unwavering care and companionship to our four-legged friends, I am available 24/7 to extend that same level of love and attention to your beloved pets. My commitment is to create a safe, happy and nurturing environment and experience for them, ensuring they receive the best care possible. With a completely open schedule, I am fully committed to providing constant attention and creating a supportive environment for your furry friend. Your pet’s happiness and comfort are my top priorities. I prioritize their care as a central part of my day, ensuring ample time for walks, play, and companionship. In both my home and yours, I prioritize creating a safe and nurturing environment for your pets. Whether it’s providing cozy spaces, regular walks, playtime, or adhering to specific dietary needs, I tailor my care to match the unique preferences and routines of each furry friend. I understand every pet is different, and my goal is to ensure they feel loved, comfortable, and right at home, no matter where they are.

Kayla G.Star Sitter
“If animals could write reviews, they’d all give Kayla five paws! 🐾 She’s one of those rare people who animals instantly trust—like she speaks their language or has a built-in treat dispenser (she doesn’t, I checked). She’s incredibly attentive, always tuned into their needs, and is happy to keep them active in the yard or give them a lil' cuddle on the couch. Kayla is also one of the most reliable, kind, and punctual people I know. I’d trust her with any pet—mine included—in a heartbeat!”

Nicole W.
“Nicole has been a wonderful sitter for my dog, Rosco. My father usually watches him, so I’m very picky about who I trust—but Nicole did an amazing job! She was attentive, responsible, and clearly has a natural way with dogs. Rosco was happy, well-cared for, and even a little spoiled! I wouldn’t hesitate to have her watch him again.”

Morgan H.Star Sitter
“Morgan is the ultimate dog lover and has never met one she doesn’t like. If she comes across a dog while we are out, she always has to stop and ask if she can give the pup some love.
