About: Hello. I am a lifelong dog owner and dog carer. I have owned a Brittany Spaniel, and a Shischon from puppy-stage through the end of their lives. Currently I care for a senior Lab and middle-aged German Shephard/Rotweiler mix, both belonging to my daughter who lives in Jacksonville with her husband and my 18-month old grand-son with another expected in November. I've been a Rover client and sitter off and on since 2018. I've not been active for almost 5 years during which time I've worked as a freelance researcher on almost a full-time basis. The demand for that work is shifting and I want to return to dog/house-sitting to supplement my income. I am comfortable walking, visiting and house-sitting small- and medium-size dogs, including senior dogs, and am experienced with giving medicine. I have a BS in Business Administration and 30+ years of work experience in the legal services industry. I am a mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. I love to walk outside, grill, and sit beside a fire. I'm an SEC fan, so fall is my favorite time of year! I want to acknowledge the one negative client review regarding a client's senior dog. I was hired for drop-in visits . I let time get away from me for two visits. One of the things that Rover does well is notify dog owners know when their sitter/carer is onsite. The owner notified me when I did not arrive within a reasonable time of the scheduled time and I immediately went to the client site. The dog was fine but the owner was obviously alarmed and terminated the relationship. I take full responsibility for those lapses and they will not happen again. One is a Great Dane and if you've had them, you know the stomach issues that are so scary. The other is a still reforming shelter pup with loads of energy. About: I have been taking care of animals since I was young, from dogs to cats, birds, reptiles, fish, small animals. I love animals and enjoy bonding with each of my clients pets. I have been pet sitting officially for 6 years now, and have returning clients year after year. I interned at a vet clinic and studied veterinary medicine for two years, so I am well versed in understanding animal behavior/needs. I volunteer at my local animal shelter so I am well experienced handling animals of different temperaments and personalities. I stay at your house with your pets unless I have to leave for a small period of time. I have class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I will have to leave the house for 3-4 hours on those days, but other than that I stay at your house all day and all night. I pet sit at your home, so I will follow the rules you have in place for taking care of your babies. I like to keep the same routine you have for your pets. My one request is that if you do not have a fenced in backyard, that you please leave a leash for the dog/dogs.

About: From the early age of 6, I have had 4 special pups. A husky, a pit bull, a razor back American bully, and 1 shits poo. My oldest was the Dude, a full bred pit bull who came with many allergies. I’ve had to administer many types of medications to the poor guy-oral and ear creams. Thankfully, my youngest, Titan, has not had too many health issues. I exercise him a lot and it’s kept him in really good shape. My family and I learned from the Dude that fresh made food makes a significant difference in our dogs health. So every night, I make Titan fresh food. Just graduating from high school has given me lots of free time. I can care for as many pets as all I do is workout, study languages, and read books. At my clients home, I spend my whole time with their dogs. I take them on frequent walks—if they are up to it we go on runs. Playtime is all the time. I want to keep the dog as happy as possible with belly rubs, outside playtime, and treats!

About: Hello! My name is Sarah and my husbands name is Michael, we’re located in Fleming Island. We both have had dogs and cats my whole life and have plenty of experience pet sitting. We give the dogs plenty of time to play in my backyard for a “dog park” experience and do things like water activities in the summer. For accuracy and safety, I confirm all medication instructions in writing and double-check labels before administering. I have a professional cleaning service that comes to my house, and daily/nightly routines in place to ensure your pets are in a clean environment. I also let them play in my fenced in backyard a lot for a “dog park experience” and let them play in water in the summer if they enjoy it. If they get dirty I give them a bath before they go home. I can easily crate your dog if needed, but if you don’t crate your dog at home I won’t crate them at mine. I’m happy to follow all the guidelines you have for your pup, as in how often to feed them, or how many times a day you would like them to go out. I want to make sure YOU and your pup feel comfortable!
