“Nick and Melissa took such good care of our 2 dogs Cash and Xena. We will definitely use them again in the future for any vacations. They even brought them a holiday treat which was so nice of them while we were gone for Christmas with family. They eased my mind and I was able to enjoy being away. I can’t recommend them enough!”

“Haylie came in clutch as a last minute sitter for my dogs. She was on time every day and stayed with them the full hour (I only needed a mid-day potty and play break for my dogs). She sent me pictures of my pups and let me know how they were doing. I would book Haylie again.”

“Allison was absolutely phenomenal with our 3 kitties while we were on vacation! Her communication is perfection and she sent us lots of photos of our kitties. She thinks of everything and we feel at ease knowing our cats were in great hands!”

“Katelyn did great with our two cats while we were gone! She even offered to come later on Fourth of July to make sure the cats were okay with the fireworks. Definitely would book her again :)”

“Bridget is amazing. She took such great care of our three pets. It made our time away enjoyable knowing that our pets were in great hands. I highly recommend Bridget and her services.”

“I had a wonderful experience with this dog sitter. She is incredibly reliable and patient—especially with my nervous Woodle, who warmed up to her completely. She was also quick to jump in and help with an unexpected visit when I truly needed it. I felt completely at ease knowing my dogs were in such caring hands. I would definitely use her services again!”

“Reliable, kind, took great care of my dog. Long walk and brought him home safe and happy. Provided pictures and comments about care. Will definitely use again! <3”

“Jaslyn is amazing! I wish I had found her sooner. She was great with our fur baby. Shared lots of pics of her, let her swim, played ball outside. We will definitely be booking with her again.”

About: I have taken care of friends, neighbors, and families dogs and cats for years now. I am a nursing student looking for something fun and low stress:) I would love to spend time with your pets even though my dogs will hate me lol I am currently a full time student at UNF and my schedule varies daily but I have plenty of gaps and time in my day for lovely fur babies. Unfortunately, my dogs do not like other dogs so they cannot come to my home but I would be happy to take them to parks or hang out with them at their homes.

About: I absolutely adore every breed and personality! I have a special place in my heart for brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds like French Bulldogs, English Bulldogs, Pugs, and Boston Terriers. With my veterinary technician background, I’m very familiar with their unique needs, including breathing concerns, heat sensitivity, skin care, and medication management. Whether your dog is a playful puppy, a senior who needs a little extra TLC, or has medical needs requiring medications or special monitoring, I’ll care for them as if they were my own. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. As a wife, proud mama to my baby girl, and pet mom to 10 cats and 5 dogs, caring for others is simply who I am. My days are full, but they revolve around the things I love most—family and animals. Pet sitting isn’t just a side job for me; it’s an extension of my everyday life. With 10 years of experience as a veterinary technician, I’m used to managing feeding schedules, medications, special needs, playtime, and lots of cuddles. Caring for multiple pets every day has taught me how to stay organized, dependable, and attentive to each animal’s unique personality and routine. When you trust me with your pets, you’re trusting someone who truly understands that they are family. I know how important it is to have peace of mind while you’re away, and I’ll care for your furry family with the same love, patience, and dedication that I give my own every single day. Whether your pet stays in my home or I care for them in yours, my goal is always to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I have a fenced-in backyard where pets can enjoy supervised outdoor time, play, and fresh air in a secure environment. My home is truly animal-friendly. My cats and dogs are all used to being around other animals and have friendly personalities. I understand that every pet is different, and I am fully able to separate my animals from visiting pets when needed to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe.

About: Hi there! I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life. I’ve watched my dad train our dogs, take them to the vet, trim their nails, give them hair cuts, bathe them, walk them, and most importantly, show them love. I also love cats! I worked at small animal hospital as an Exam Technician where I helped care for and assess dogs and cats who came into our care. During the summer of senior year of high school, I was accepted to attend UF’s Gator Vet Camp where I worked alongside UF veterinary students and staff to learn about small and large animal care. I have always been an animal lover. Growing up my dad and I would save any injured turtle, bird, lizard, and squirrel we came across. My favorite place to be is at the zoo or an animal farm because animals truly fill my heart with joy! During this summer, I will be available 9am-7pm, 7 days a week. In September, I will be starting grad school online from home, which might affect these hours but I will be more than happy to find a work around to continue taking care of your fur babies! I will always make sure to clean up after myself and your fur baby if any accidents happen. I like to keep things cleaner than I found them. You fur baby will be treated just as if they were my own, with love, kindness, and companionship.
About: Hello, my name is Terrell. I am an active duty service member with a wife and four kids. I have owned dogs my entire under bringing and I have also “doggy sat” co-workers pets here and there, which is what brought me to Rover. I’m hoping I can use my off days and spare time to assist others with their pets when needed. I know life can always be unexpected and throw curveballs and I’m here to hopefully help you out. I look forward to hearing from you guys and I can’t wait to meet all the new dogs here in the Clay County area! Thanks for reading my profile. I work Monday - Friday and the occasional weekend once a month. When in my care your loving fur baby will have plenty of time to play as I know several dog parks and open fields around the area. Looking forward to doing my best to fill your pet needs! On work days we go on one walk when I get home and on non working days we do a walk in the morning and afternoon and if they are up for it, dog park day.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hibernia. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
