“They were so sweet and attentive with my dog! Very communicative, frequent updates, and lots of adorable pics! Very appreciative to them. Wonderful care!”

“I had a wonderful experience with this dog sitter. She is incredibly reliable and patient—especially with my nervous Woodle, who warmed up to her completely. She was also quick to jump in and help with an unexpected visit when I truly needed it. I felt completely at ease knowing my dogs were in such caring hands. I would definitely use her services again!”

“I had a sitter cancel on me last minute and was scrambling right before my flight. THANK GOD AND THE HEAVENS for Colleen and her prompt response she was able to help me out very last minute. She is truely a life saver and a gift from God. Please book her!!”

“Amazing. My babies love her. A true animal lover. Wonderful with keeping me updated and such a wonderful person. I can't recommend her highly enough. It made me feel so comfortable knowing she was looking after everything.”

About: A cat owner for many years, I will help keep your fur babies safe while you are away! I have had cats in my home since I was born, and have 2 of my own!! I am a high school teacher so I am currently available all throughout weekends and after 3 on weekdays. Over the summer I am an open book!! I have two friendly cats to keep your fur baby company and I have a screened in patio for some outside time if needed!! Can’t wait to work with you!
“Reliable, kind, took great care of my dog. Long walk and brought him home safe and happy. Provided pictures and comments about care. Will definitely use again! <3”

“Haylie came in clutch as a last minute sitter for my dogs. She was on time every day and stayed with them the full hour (I only needed a mid-day potty and play break for my dogs). She sent me pictures of my pups and let me know how they were doing. I would book Haylie again.”

“If I could give more stars I would. Amanda is an excellent sitter. When I am away, her daily photos and messages put my heart and mind at ease. She has formed an amazing friendship with my kitties. They are well looked after in her care.”

About: Since I was five, I have been around dogs and cats. At ten years old I was helping feed and walk the dogs as well as clean up the animals’ messes. Most of my pets have been medium or smaller size with a couple being bigger dogs. I have taken care of young pups and kittens, as well as my a senior dog. Currently, I have theatre rehearsals on Tuesday and Thursday nights. I return to my college campus in August, but I am mostly available from morning to afternoon on weekdays and Saturdays. I am more than happy to feed, walk, or play with your pets during that time! I am comfortable going to your house and taking care of your animals. I follow directions given virtually or written down in order to ensure the animals are cared for properly. If they are used to a specific schedule, I do my best to stick to it.

“Bridget was reliable and wonderful with our dog, Scout — he absolutely loved her. She was also incredibly helpful and kind with my elderly mother. We would definitely use her again!”

“Ms. Erika was amazing with my pets! She was reliable, communicative, and sent lots of updates and pictures, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. My pets were happy, well cared for, and clearly comfortable with her. I’d definitely book again and highly recommend!”

About: I am a stay at home mom of two kids, and I have a cat and dog (pitbull) that I have had for seven years! I have had cats and dogs since I was born, so I have experience training puppies and caring for elderly animals. My availability is flexible due to being a SAHM and I absolutely love animals of any kind! My availability is very flexible as long as I can bring my 2 year old with me on the days/times my husband is working! I can make most schedules work. I would follow specific instructions/directions from the owner on how to care for their animal in their home. If they are to be walked on a leash, let out into the yard, how they take their food, etc. will all be followed precisely to the owners expectations!
About: I love animals and had my dog for 15 years before he passed away. I am a mental health counselor that works from home half of the time and only gone for a few hours a day for in person sessions. I haven't been able to get another pet because it's still hard to face that my dog is gone. Doing Rover allows me the opportunity to hang out with animals so I can take my time to choose the perfect dog for me. I understand how special our pets are and will treat yours like I would if they were my own. Although I work full time, I only work outside of my home part time and the rest of the time I work virtually from my home office. Therefore, I'm fairly flexible I have a 2 bedroom condo in a dog friendly complex with plenty of room to walk them. I was a responsible dog parent and have had multiple cats and ferrets as well.
“Jaslyn is amazing! I wish I had found her sooner. She was great with our fur baby. Shared lots of pics of her, let her swim, played ball outside. We will definitely be booking with her again.”

“Allison was wonderful with our 5 kitties while we were gone for 7 days on vacation. She was so attentive to their needs. Allison made sure to get plenty of photos to share with me during our vacation and her “report cards” were thorough and funny. She even vacuumed for us once because of the cat litter around the boxes. She really went above and beyond and that’s why I would definitely book her again to take care of our cats.”

About: Hello, my name is Terrell. I am an active duty service member with a wife and four kids. I have owned dogs my entire under bringing and I have also “doggy sat” co-workers pets here and there, which is what brought me to Rover. I’m hoping I can use my off days and spare time to assist others with their pets when needed. I know life can always be unexpected and throw curveballs and I’m here to hopefully help you out. I look forward to hearing from you guys and I can’t wait to meet all the new dogs here in the Clay County area! Thanks for reading my profile. I work Monday - Friday and the occasional weekend once a month. When in my care your loving fur baby will have plenty of time to play as I know several dog parks and open fields around the area. Looking forward to doing my best to fill your pet needs! On work days we go on one walk when I get home and on non working days we do a walk in the morning and afternoon and if they are up for it, dog park day.

About: Hi! I am Shawna. I’m a five star Rover sitter with 32 verified reviews, now offering drop in visits and dog walking. I’ve always had a soft spot for animals and truly enjoy spending time with them. I grew up with cats and dogs, so caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. While I no longer provide boarding or doggy daycare in my home, I’d love to help make your day a little easier by caring for your pet in the place they’re most comfortable-their own home. Whether your dog needs a walk, a potty break, fresh food, and water, or just someone to throw a ball and give them some attention, I’m happy to help. For cats, I’m just as happy to refresh litter boxes, feed them, play with them, or simply sit with them if they’re the quiet type who enjoys company. As a stay-at-home mom, reliability and kindness are important to me. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care, and I don’t take that lightly. My goal is for you to come home to a happy pet and to feel confident knowing they were well cared for while you were away. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hibernia. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
