“Darci did a great job taking care of our cat Max. She came as planned, updated me on how he was doing and sent pictures so we wouldn't miss him quite so much. She went above and beyond making sure all was well at home while we were gone. We definitely highly recommend Darci!”

About: Hello, my name is Terrell. I am an active duty service member with a wife and four kids. I have owned dogs my entire under bringing and I have also “doggy sat” co-workers pets here and there, which is what brought me to Rover. I’m hoping I can use my off days and spare time to assist others with their pets when needed. I know life can always be unexpected and throw curveballs and I’m here to hopefully help you out. I look forward to hearing from you guys and I can’t wait to meet all the new dogs here in the Clay County area! Thanks for reading my profile. I work Monday - Friday and the occasional weekend once a month. When in my care your loving fur baby will have plenty of time to play as I know several dog parks and open fields around the area. Looking forward to doing my best to fill your pet needs! On work days we go on one walk when I get home and on non working days we do a walk in the morning and afternoon and if they are up for it, dog park day.
“Haylie came in clutch as a last minute sitter for my dogs. She was on time every day and stayed with them the full hour (I only needed a mid-day potty and play break for my dogs). She sent me pictures of my pups and let me know how they were doing. I would book Haylie again.”

“Renee was very thorough and professional. I felt comfortable with her taking care of our dog. She was able to overcome his initial wariness of her in a calm and collected manner.”

“Ansley has been so helpful walking my dog, an 11 year old Bichon Frise, when I needed her help. I appreciate her flexibility when my business trip plans changed. Love the daily updates.”
About: I had a pet-care business a few years ago and had so much fun! Now that my schedule is more flexible, I’d love to get it going again. I have experience with dog walking, pet daycare, and pet sitting for owners going out of town (both cats and dogs). My most recent experience was boarding a puppy for two weeks at my house and it went great! We got to play at the dog park every day and had so much fun. I’m getting my master’s degree remotely, and I love taking my dog for walks when I need a study break. I just recently boarded a puppy in my home over winter break and had a great time! I have a spacious yard, a neighborhood with sidewalks, and an excellent fenced-in dog-park. The park is actually split into two sections, one for small dogs and one for bigger dogs, so no worries about anyone getting too rowdy.

About: Since I was five, I have been around dogs and cats. At ten years old I was helping feed and walk the dogs as well as clean up the animals’ messes. Most of my pets have been medium or smaller size with a couple being bigger dogs. I have taken care of young pups and kittens, as well as my a senior dog. Currently, I have theatre rehearsals on Tuesday and Thursday nights. I return to my college campus in August, but I am mostly available from morning to afternoon on weekdays and Saturdays. I am more than happy to feed, walk, or play with your pets during that time! I am comfortable going to your house and taking care of your animals. I follow directions given virtually or written down in order to ensure the animals are cared for properly. If they are used to a specific schedule, I do my best to stick to it.
“Sarah Is Absolutely Wonderful ! We are very grateful for her making time for us in five days notice. She is responsive polite and thorough. Our cat loved her, and that was our cat’s first time on her own. She played fed pet and spoiled our little goblin. She takes great pictures that are very funny and very cute as well. We felt very relieved after the first update and continued to be happy with each additional one. Will definitely contact again the next time we go out of town.”

“Ms. Erika was amazing with my pets! She was reliable, communicative, and sent lots of updates and pictures, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. My pets were happy, well cared for, and clearly comfortable with her. I’d definitely book again and highly recommend!”

“I've had several "professional" pet sitting services take care of my kitty over the years... but I was always frustrated because their work never lived up to their promises. My kitty is very social, she needs regular human interaction... Courtney gave my fur-baby exactly what she needed and more! Not only did Courtney follow my instructions for care and feeding, but she made sure to always spend time petting, grooming, and playing with my baby - whatever she needed on any given day. I could tell when I returned that my kitty was very well taken care of. I'm always anxious about leaving my fur baby, but Courtney provided very detailed information each day of the pet sit, which game me great comfort - I could actually relax into my vacation. In short, Courtney was amazing! I highly recommend her services, and will be re-booking with her in the future!”

“She has been very good! She went above and beyond today. My Gonza had pretty bad diarrhea and she cleaned his crate, cleaned him off pretty well, and told me everything that happened. Has followed all my rules and routine with my three pups. And was also willing to buy paper towels because i ran out. . My dogs also love her! I will be booking with her in the future”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was young. Big and small. As I love all dogs, big lab dogs are my favorite. Not professionally, but I have learned to train my own puppies over the years. I am a stay at home mom and work 1-2 days a week for about 4-5 hours so I am available almost everyday of the week. I don’t have any pets at the moment but I do have a unfenced yard and plenty of time to go out and walk. They’re plenty of dog parks around I would be more than happy to take them to.
About: I’ve always had a dog in my house growing up. I adopted my own at 19 and loved him for years! I would love to help care for your babies while you’re out of town! :) I currently work from home / stay at home so I have plenty of time to play with and love on your pets! I have two pups of my own and they love to have friends over to play and lounge around with! I have two medium sized pups that LOVE friends! They will keep them running and playing or lay around with them. We can take walks, if needed!
About: I’m a stay-at-home mom with plenty of free time! Throughout my adult life, I’ve owned four dogs, each with unique traits—ranging from big to small, social to antisocial, highly active to a total couch potato, and young to old! Pet care is naturally integrated into my daily and weekly routine, ensuring that each pet receives the attention and care they need. My day typically includes feeding, exercise, playtime, and companionship tailored to each pet’s needs. Walks, outdoor activities, or interactive play sessions are scheduled throughout the day to keep them engaged and active. I also incorporate grooming, cleaning up after them, and any special care requirements like administering medication or training reinforcement. Since I have plenty of flexibility in my schedule, I can easily adapt to different pets’ routines, whether it’s short-term care or ongoing responsibility. In my home, I provide personalized care tailored to each pet’s needs. This includes feeding them a nutritious diet, ensuring they get enough exercise, maintaining their grooming routine, and giving them plenty of attention and affection. I also create a safe and comfortable environment that suits their temperament, whether they’re highly active or prefer to lounge around. If caring for pets in a client’s home, I would follow their specific instructions to maintain the pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, medication (if required), and any special care instructions. I’d also ensure their home remains clean and secure while providing companionship to their pet. My goal is to make sure each pet feels comfortable and well-cared for, whether in my home or theirs.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Penney Farms. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
