“Amber is always on time for appointments and spends time with our animals. She is always flexible and fantastic to work with even with having to change around a few times last minute. I highly recommend Amber for your pet drop in needs.”

“Elizabeth was a great pet sitter! She was punctual with her visits and paid attention to detail in the care instructions and in her visits report cards. Our kitty was in great hands and I highly recommend her services!”

About: Dogs have always been my number one animal and hold a special place in my heart. ♥️ From big to small, junior to senior I welcome them all! I bring stamina for the active ones and cuddles, pats and scratches for the ones that rather lay low. On walks I am the one in control but give everyone the fair opportunity to prove themselves or redeem their behavior! My weekends tend to be wide open and up to 24/7 services can be requested on them with proper advance notice. On weekdays I work an 9-6 job in TR, in which I can and will use my lunch breaks to provide potty relief or medication if location and duration of the regimen allow it. (1hr lunch break) From time to time I take care of a senior dame and a separate senior on medication so scheduling is key! Not unfamiliar with Senior-care or medication/therapy schedules. Your fur baby, is now my fur baby and if there is one thing you should know is, that I fight for my babies. 💪🏾 They are always considered family and their needs become first priority when placed under my care! And that is a promise!☝🏾 The crate, can and will be enforced if necessary and jail-time will be due as the house rules are stated and known. (Just because your not home is no excuse to act out and I’ll make sure of that!) I assure you that medication and therapy regimen are very important to me and I will follow them as closely as possible.
“Our first weekend away from the babies and we couldn't be more grateful for Joy! She treated them as family and took extra care to make sure they were comfortable in their own home without mom and dad. The little things mean a lot and Joy went above and beyond. From turning on the TV so the dogs didn't hear all the ongoing neighborhood noises to tucking them into bed with blankets, Joy showed our babies what love means and gave them the extra spoiling they deserve! We will definitely be using Joy over and over again! The pups give her all 12 paws up and extra kisses for greatness!”

“Shelley is great! She took care of my cat, Bobo, for 4 days while I was away. She answered all of my questions, stayed for a while during the initial meet 'n greet, followed my instructions to a "T", and stayed longer so Bobo could get comfortable with her. I would not hesitate to book Shelley again. I highly recommend her services.”

“We booked 30 min drop ins. She used the full time to feed, potty and take on a quick walk giving them all the short attention she could in the 30 min allotted. Very happy and booked on such short notice.”
“This is my third time I asked her to watch my dogs. She’s amazing and my dogs loves her!! I feel safe when I’m gone bc I know she will take care of my dogs. I wouldn’t ask any other dog sitters but Julianne!”
“Andrea was great with our dog. She sent us lots of pictures and took Chloe on nice walks. Chloe warmed right up to her. I would definitely rebook, it’s nice to know your dog is well taken care of when you’re away.”

“I booked Ashley for a drop in visit with my dog Freida and she did a fantastic job. Great communication before and during the visit. She showed up on time and gave Freida lots of attention and made sure she went to the bathroom. I will definitely book Ashley again.”

“Paige did a great job taking care of my two cats while I was out of town! She gave frequent updates on how they were doing and was very accommodating when one of them wasn’t interested in eating his dry food. She brought in a few packages that arrived and cleaned the cats’ dishes even though it wasn’t expected! I’d recommend her to anyone and would definitely book with her again!”

“Corrina took great care of our cat and dog while we went on vacation - doing drop in visits twice a day! Our pets always looked happy in the pictures and everything was great when we got home!”

About: I have loved animals for as long as I can remember. I have two 13 year old dogs myself and have helped take care of them from puppy to senior. I have fostered 3 dogs and pet sit for friends. I follow all requirements like walking, feeding times, giving any necessary medication, and endless love. I am a recent college graduate and currently in my job hunt. I have open availability and am very flexible at the moment. I would love to help out in any way that I can! I’m very used to animals and what they need. I will follow all directions that I am given to make sure your pet gets the correct care. I can feed and walk your animals around the neighborhood or let them outside if there’s a fenced in backyard. For cats, I’m comfortable with cleaning out the litter box and replacing it with new litter. On top of all the necessities, I will make sure they get the love they deserve.

About: I have owned pets all of my life. Over the years, I have owned dogs, cats, chinchillas, and conures. Pets are members of your family, not just animals living in your house! I am 65 years old and I currently substitute teach part time. I would be very flexible with hours to visit to your home and when I come see your pet; I will treat them as if they were my own. When coming into your home, I would take the time to get to know your pets needs and personality. Every pet is an individual. They need to be treated with respect and loving kindness.
About: Hiiii! I’m a proud animal lover with hands-on experience working in an animal hospital. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays, I’ll treat your fur baby like family. Reliable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about animals, you can count on me to keep your pet loved and well-looked after while you’re away. Can’t wait to meet your fur babies! (Message me for more details about my availability..it won’t let me specify) 🥰 I’m currently a full-time student online so I’m very flexible! This allows me to do extended stays and if you need additional time away as long as I don’t have another booking, I can always extend my services! So I offer drop ins, house sit, and do overnights.. very attentive, willing to take them to dog parks, hikes, walking around the neighborhood.. you name it!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Heathwood
This was my first time using Rover, and I am extremely pleased with the experience and the service provided. Aside from how easy the app is to use, Elizabeth was the perfect sitter! I knew the moment we met for our “meet and greet” that she would be a great fit. Her kind and sweet spirit was immediately apparent, and I felt confident that I had made the right choice. Elizabeth went above and beyond in caring for my fur babies. She provided detailed updates and wonderful pictures with every visit, which gave me complete peace of mind knowing they were happy and well cared for. It was clear how much genuine care and attention she gave them. I will absolutely use Elizabeth for future stays and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, and attentive sitter!
Joy was wonderful! She came by before we left to meet us and our kitties. I even got our dates mixed up but she was able to accommodate us which I am very grateful for! She understood our 4 cat’s different personalities - and gave them the love and attention they each wanted. Would definitely recommend Joy!

Celia is responsible, reliable, dependable and trustworthy. We are pleased with the service she provided for our two cats while we were gone. She was on time every day, followed all instructions, including play time. Furthermore, she regularly sent text and photos/short video updates. We came home to two happy, well-cared-for cats. We truly appreciate her professionalism and genuine attention and care. We highly recommend her.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Heathwood. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
