“Richard and his family were the perfect fit for our dog, Honey! Honey is a 15 year old, small dog who has recently gone deaf. She struggles with other dogs and I was having a hard time finding someone who would only take one dog at a time. Then I found Richard! Honey felt right at home with them. I loved the picture and video updates each night. She returned home happy, healthy and ready to play. Thank you so much for taking care of our sweet old girl!”

“If I could give Leslie 10 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ well I just did!! She is a dream care giver, treated my girl like she was her own. Leslie sent me daily reports (morning and evening!!) along with photos and even a couple videos. Allie had a wonderful vacation (truthfully couldn’t have gone any better) and we both are relaxed and happy. I am soooo thankful I found Leslie, I wouldn’t consider contacting anyone else. She is TOP NOTCH. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️”

“This was the first time leaving our puppy with anybody. He is seven year old husky mix who has the all of the husky quirks but who is a very sweet dog. While with Jaime & Mike I saw that the whole family really looked after Max. During our time away they updated us with texts and pictures, and when we arrived to pick him up he was happily walking outside with Mike. He had a bed set up close to everyone so he wouldn’t feel alone. I would definitely leave him there again, you can tell they really like dogs and that makes a difference”

“Maria was wonderful to work with and took very good care of my male lab while I was on a four-day trip. I will book with her again on Rover and highly recommend her.”

“Stacie was wonderful. She had sent regular updates and pictures of our puppy. This was our first time using Rover and we are really grateful for Stacie and her family. Thanks for making our puppy feel comfortable.”

“This was Duncans second visit with Ali, he stayed over two weeks this time. He came back to me happy, healthy and showed no signs of stress at all. The daily pictures sent to me indicated he was having a fabulous time, enjoying Ali’s family and all the love provided. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing he was being well taken care of. Once again I can highly recommend Ali, she is wonderful!”
“John and Johanna were so wonderful with our sweet Teddy. He had such a fun time playing with Penny. I would absolutely recommend John and Johanna. They are so caring and interactive with the pets they care for. They sent many photos and videos as well as daily reports. I had such peace of mind leaving him with them for my wedding weekend.”

“Vidhi did a wonderful job taking care of Buddy. Communication was smooth throughout his stay, and she sent daily pictures, which gave me peace of mind. I also loved that she also has a mini Goldendoodle, so Buddy had a buddy to keep him company! He looked very comfortable and happy in her home. I would definitely recommend Vidhi, and I have booked her again for next weekend.”

“Darnell and his family took in and cared for our Ozzy like he was there own . Sent updates along with photos on how he was doing . I highly recommend this family for your pet. Thank you Darnell and family for spoiling our Ozzy .”

“Beth was wonderful with our puppy. She was very responsive and kept us updated throughout the stay without being overwhelming, which we really appreciated. She was clearly prepared and already had everything she needed to provide great care, which made boarding prep so easy and stress-free for us. Her yard is spacious and perfect for dogs to play safely. She even sent him home with the sweetest little thank-you gift. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for thoughtful, attentive care.”

“Our 2 senior dogs were well cared for during our week-long vacation. Iryna sent me frequent updates, lots of pictures, and videos. They always looked so happy. I especially loved the pictures of them snuggling with Iryna and her daughter, it really showed how comfortable they were. I'm pretty sure our dogs enjoyed their vacation just as much as we enjoyed ours. I will definitely be booking with James and Iryna for all of our future trips. Thank you for treating them like family!”

“Catherine took great care of Andy during this visit. Andy was experiences stomach upset and the recommended increasing his feeding from twice a day to 4 times. Catherine accommodated this request. Fin was a great playmate to Andy. Andy came back healthy and happy 😊”

“The Best Sitter in VA! She watched over our furry one for 3 yrs. We had to move due to military orders and it sucked to move away from a trusted person like Tamara. Highly Recommended.”

“Zahra was great, sent a nice video of the dogs enjoying the backyard and was very prompt with pickup and dropoff and communication. Really felt like dogs were well cared fo while we were out of town. Highly recommend.”

About: I’ve shared my life with dogs and cats for as long as I can remember, including adopted and rescue animals of different ages, personalities and needs. I have special experience caring for senior and medically fragile pets. I adopted a very elderly, sick dog who required frequent medication and attentive daily care, and I also cared for my cat through medical needs that required consistent medication. I’m currently a devoted dog mom to Graci, a two-year-old Labrador, and a proud grandmom to Zoey, a two-year-old mini Australian Shepherd/Corgi mix. Caring for animals has given me hands-on experience with walks, feeding routines, playtime, medication schedules, close supervision and helping pets feel safe and comfortable. I understand that rescue animals and senior pets may need additional patience, consistency and time to build trust. I’m also a retired federal professional known for being dependable, observant and calm in unexpected situations. I understand that trusting someone with your pet—and your home—is a very personal decision. I will follow your instructions carefully, communicate consistently and provide plenty of photos and updates so you can feel completely comfortable while you’re away. “Continuing my professional development” sounds more natural and polished than “pursuing additional courses.” I’m currently taking a professional break while continuing my professional development, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to provide your pet with attentive, loving care. I’m home much of the day and can easily accommodate feeding, playtime, medication, cuddles, and your pet’s normal routine. Safety and comfort are always my priorities. I have one friendly Labrador who gets along well with other dogs and can be crated or kept separately if needed. My neighborhood is great for safe, leashed walks, and I carefully follow each pet parent’s instructions regarding feeding, medication, exercise, and routines.
“Eun and her spouse were wonderful. The moment we brought our dog, we could see the excitement she had to take care of him. She sent multiple photos and videos a day to ensure we are always seeing what’s going on.”

“Lydia did an outstanding job taking care of my little chihuahua, Penny. Penny has never been boarded before, and Lydia took excellent care of her. Lydia was very caring and sent me photos and videos every day. It was comforting to know that my Penny was in loving hands. Lydia, thank you so much.”

“Danielle was amazing! Very communicative and sent tons of pictures/videos. Kai’lo had a blast with all his new friends and was even very sad when he got picked up. Thank you for taking such great care of him! Will definitely continue booking with her.”

An incredible sitter!!! 💯 We needed someone to watch our dog and cat over the holiday weekend and we’re super lucky that Chaimae was available! Our pets were on their own vacation while we were on ours! 😎 We loved getting pics and updates on how much fun they were having, whether going for walks or just relaxing in the backyard. Chaimae did a fantastic job taking care of our floofs and will definitely be our go-to sitter next time! 🐺 🐈 🐾

Jaime and Mike took great care of my dog over an extended vacation. Jaime provided pictures of my dog at different times of the day doing different things and provided updates of how he was doing. She gave my husband and I peace of mind as we were far away and had minimal cell service. We were very happy with the care that our dog received while we were out of town.

Jill was an incredible sitter for our week-long trip with Muffin. She kept us updated daily with sweet photos and messages, and even hopped on FaceTime with us twice so we could see him and know he was doing well — that kind of communication made being away so much easier. What really stood out was how she handled an unexpected situation during our trip. Without hesitation, she made sure Muffin got the care he needed and stayed by his side the whole time, going well above and beyond what we ever expected from a sitter. Her calm, caring, and responsible approach gave us total peace of mind. We can't recommend Jill enough — she's attentive, trustworthy, and genuinely cares about the pets she watches. We'll absolutely be booking with her again!

Mike did a fantastic job with my dog! She had some separation anxiety early and he kept me up to date with her behavior, how they helped her, and daily picture updates. Their own pets also helped my dog have some company and play time which she loves. Highly recommend!

This was my first time boarding with Rover and I couldn't be happier that I chose Gloria! Benoit spent five nights with them, and he was clearly so well loved. The whole family was so sweet and easy to communicate with. I loved how many pictures/videos she sent of Benoit playing with their dogs. Would definitely recommend!
