“Jennifer was very communicative with me while watching our 15yr old Welsh Terrier. She was accommodating to his mobility challenges and always made sure he got his meds, water and ample outside time. We’ve already scheduled our next house sit!”

“Becky was absolutely amazing with our 10-year-old dog while we were away for a week. She gave our dog her medication reliably and sent us frequent updates and photos. This was our first time leaving Nala with someone who was not our family or friends but Becky took care of our girl like family. On top of that, she went above and beyond by caring for our home and helping with things like bringing in our packages while away. We came back to a happy, healthy pup and a clean home—couldn’t recommend her more!”

About: Howdy all! I own a 3 year old pup named Carter who loves to make new friends. I have over 6 years experience of taking care of dogs and I’m new to the Chicago area! We look forward to sitting and walking your pups really soon. I am really flexible and will treat your pup as my own. I live in Edgewater close to many walking trails and the Beach area! I work remote full time so I’m available for consistent walks and breaks so that your pup is fully immersed into their routine. Living in the Edison in Edgewater provides community with many other dogs so they will never be lonely here as well. Plus they get to hang with Carter during the time they are with me!

“This was our first time using Catie, and we couldn’t have been more pleased! She was very kind and accommodating as our plans were rather fluid…and throughout her stay in our home, she was very communicative; sending pictures and updates, with most showing just how happy and comfortable our girl Zoe was with her new friend! Our dog and our home were both in great shape upon our return. We will absolutely use Catie again, for upcoming vacations or spot visits as needed.”

“Eric is first and foremost a very kind person. He is obviously a pet lover, and our dog Daisy enjoys being the beneficiary of his attention. In fact, this morning she was looking for him, and I had to convince her to eat her breakfast! Eric is also great at staying in touch. I never have to wonder how things are going as there are photos and notes to reassure me. I guess I am a helicopter pet mom, so this is great. If I had to go on an extended trip and leave my pup, Eric would be my first and perhaps only choice. If you want to travel with confidence, look no further.”

“Cindy is an empathetic and trustworthy dog sitter. She stayed in our home and was careful and respectful of our house. Cindy was gentle and caring with our nervous/shy 9 year old 50 pound beagle/hound mix. She kept us informed of poops and other details including many photos to make sure our pup was getting the best care possible. We always felt confident in her house sitting care. Cindy is calming to animals and up front and open with humans. We would highly recommend Cindy and consider her for future bookings in our home with our dog.”

About: Hello! I absolutely adore animals and strongly believe that they are no different than our beloved family members. In addition to having dog fostering experience for kk9 rescue center, I also have pet-sat for my friends' dogs and cats on numerous occasions. I'd love to be able to spend time with your pet and give them the love and care that all animals deserve. I work remotely so I am flexible to pet sit at my own convenience. I also have my own car on premise so I’m able to drop by for midday walks/care. I have a pet friendly apartment so I am able to pet sit on premise. I am also able to care for your pet at your home if needed.
“Bhavika was super sweet and Lola took to her right away. So grateful she could watch her with such short notice. Very communicative and gave updates throughout the evening. Would definitely use Bhavika again, highly recommend!”

“Jalyne did a fantastic job taking care of our dog while we were away for a week. She followed all our instructions, left the house clean, and our dog happy and well cared for! Highly recommend Jalyne.”

“We were fortunate to have Grace taking care of our elderly cat AND our elderly home. On Christmas Eve, unprecedented low temperatures knocked out our heating system. Grace rose to the challenging occasion. A cautionary tale for Rover care providers, when offering their house sitting services. *@&t happens. Happy to report both elderly subjects are healthy, warm & cozy! Thank you Grace.”

“Denisse was amazing with my pups! I have 3 dogs so they kept her busy but she handled it like a pro. My mind was put at ease knowing such a trustworthy person was taking care of my pups and home while I was out of town. The dogs got plenty of love and cuddles while I was away. Communication was frequent and loved getting pictures of my dogs comfortable in their surroundings like I never even left. Denisse was sweet and watered my plants for me and grabbed my mail. I will absolutely book her again and would recommend her to anyone.”
“Belkys was amazing! Our first time leaving our elderly dog with a sitter for so long, so we were nervous at first. So glad we chose Belkys- she did such a great job keeping us updating and making sure our pup was well taken care of. Would definitely book again”

“Danny was so fantastic with our two dogs, Hudson and Bella. Hudson tends to jump up and bark at other pups, while Bella is a nervous dog and gets startled easily. Danny was great with both of them and their unique personalities. Danny was also super communicative, sending pics/videos, which was helpful and reassuring while we were away. I'd highly recommend him and will use him again in future when we go away.”

Hawthorne pet parents share their Rover experiences
Naomi was so wonderful with my dogs. When we got home, they were so happy and excited. I could tell that they were well cared for. They took to her right away, and they responded to her gentle nature. On a side note, the house was tidy, the weeks mail had been brought in as we requested, and she was a perfect house guest.

Rebecca was great. She stayed with my dogs in my house for a week. She came over before we left to see in person my dogs med routine as she is 17 and has a few. My other dog, who is afraid of everyone took to her very quickly. She also sent me pictures and updates regularly. I would hire her again to watch them in a heartbeat.

Yosef was a fantastic catsitter! He stayed at our house for 3 weeks with our 3 cats, sent frequent updates, provided them with a ton of attention and care, watered our plants, brought in our mail, saved a package from some intense rain, and overall took great care of our place.

Ruby warmed right up to Daniella almost immediately. She’s clearly a dog person! Very communicative, warm and sent lots of updates of our puppy while we were gone. She took great care of our home while she was housesitting and we would definitely book with her again.
