“Jennie is absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond in every way and treated my dog, Max, like he was her own. From the very first walk, I could tell how much she genuinely cared about him. She sent me updates, gave Max lots of love and attention, and made sure he was happy and comfortable the whole time. Max came back from his walks full of tail wags and smiles! It was such a relief knowing he was in such great hands. I couldn’t recommend Jennie more—she’s the best!”

“First time using Nia and she was great! Super communicative and sent all the pictures. She was so sweet with Jesse at our meet and greet and Jesse had the biggest smile in every picture sent so I know Jesse loved her too. Will be using her again!”

“Grateful to Tabitha for taking care of Luna and Oliver while we were out of town! Luna was happy for the company and both cats were well taken care of during the visit.”

“Fennel was truly amazing with our puppy, Cooper! They were so attentive and communicative. As new dog parents who work full time, we wanted to ensure someone was there to care for Cooper while we were out of the house. Fennel did that and then some! Above and beyond! Many many thanks to the best dog sitter we could have asked for! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! We will be booking with Fennel again any time we need assistance!”

“Victoria was great with our two cats! She was very communicative and gave great, thorough updates, followed all instructions, and we came back to happy, healthy kitties. Will definitely rebook drop ins with Victoria in the future!”

“Emma was WONDERFUL! I was very nervous about using Rover while we were away and Emma put us right at ease. She updated us every time she visited and our dog loved her. I will definitely be using her services again.”

“Ashley met me outside. She was very professional and calm with our little dog who is not socialized and is very nippy and skittish. She did a very good job handling her thank you very much.”

“Aaron did a great job. Helped me out last minute which was appreciated. Was able to operate well without a meet and greet, so he's obviously skilled with dogs. He made sure our outside cat was feed and communicated very well for the duration of his support.”

About: I have watched all animals from big dogs to small dogs to lizards and bunnies. I love all animals and love to help out even for a small walk and feeding or giving meds. I drive a school bus so I have a big gap in the middle of my day about 5 hrs where I can walk animals or feed them or hang out with them. Also I have some time after work if it is absolutely needed I respect what ever the house rules are and love the pets as my own. I treat them all with love and care as if they were mine and if anything changes I communicate that with the owners well in advance with schedules and changes
“James is wonderful with my dog child. He’s super responsive, treats my dog like his own, respects my home, and goes above and beyond to accommodate my often unpredictable schedule - what more could I ask for? Tito and I are so happy to have found him!”

About: While you are away, let your dogs enjoy a pupcation! My wife and I have been caring and training dogs for 10+ years. We have a fenced yard with a lake just beyond that. We currently have 2 friendly dogs who love to play. We can guarantee your dog will have an awesome time! We will train your dog as well if you would like. Dogs will get walked every day and plenty of play time. In this house hold, dogs are part of the family! Able to adapt and provide whatever care you require for your dog. I work 6am - 2pm and my wife works at a hospital over night. So there is always someone home to look after the dogs. If you want, we can take the dog out to the lake. We take ours out there all the time, it is shallow. But if you don't want them to, they don't need to. Our yard is fully fenced and cut off from the pond. Both my wife and I work, but she works night and I work days. So at all times we have someone home watching the pups. We treat your dog just like they were our own. We give them all the love, attention and care that they need. Your dog will gets plenty of play time, cuddles and care.
“OMG! We love her.... and more importantly, our cat Mesa loves her... and our dogs Emma, Hope and Beau are so relaxed when she visits. It is so nice to know that they are in good hands when Melissa is visiting. We never worry about them!”

About: Hi! I’ve been an animal lover my entire life and have cared for all kinds of pets over the years. Growing up, my family always had dogs, so I learned early on how to handle everything from playful puppies to senior dogs who needed a little extra attention. As an adult, I’ve personally owned small caged pets and currently own 2 cats, giving me a well-rounded understanding of different animal personalities and care needs. I currently share my home with two adopted cats, each with their own unique story and background. With patience and care, I was able to successfully introduce them to each other despite their age difference and differing temperaments—it was so rewarding and relieving to see them become friends! I understand that every pet is unique and deserves compassionate, individualized care, and I treat every animal I meet like one of my own. I currently work a full time job with the military during the week, but am home early in the afternoon to provide care, comfort, and cuddles to my furry friends and yours! I have a spacious apartment with lots of toys and 2 friendly cats to keep tour furry friend company. Walking around my neighborhood is a breeze with pet pickup spots along the way and a safe environment for walks no matter what time.
“Sabine was the best. She went out of her way to spend time with our princess who really loves her people. She left us detailed checking with multiple photos. We will always use Sabine in the future. If you need someone to check in with your fur baby, call Sabine. Thanks again Sabine!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Harmans
Madison got along very well with our two cats when we were out for the weekend! They followed all of our instructions to the letter and did extra work to make sure our cats were happy and our home was just the way we left it. She was attentive to the specific emotional needs of each cat. I would highly recommend them for pet sitting.

- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
