“Jessica was AMAZING with my doggie Ophelia! i booked very last minute and she was kind enough to accept! she kept me updated and sent me pictures! she was very welcoming, and when i dropped off i found comfort in knowing that her house was very welcoming as well! definitely using her next time!!”

“Jessica was terrific! Perry had a great stay with her and Bella, and it was so helpful that she could pick him up and drop him off. Thank you Jessica! Hope to see you again soon!!”

“Patrycja was great! She walked Oshie frequently and sent photos daily. When I arrived, Oshie was glad to see me, but also acted like he would have gladly gone back inside her house if I had let him 😂. I highly recommend Patrycja and will use her again if needed!”

“From the booking through to the end of our dog’s stay with Melissa, Melissa was a wonderful person and dog sitter. This was my first Rover stay for my very shy dog and it was fantastic! My dog was comfortable from the moment she met Melissa. Melissa is very calm and was thoughtful about how she met our dog. Her dog is adorable and our two dogs got along well. Melissa has a large backyard and so our dog had a lot of space to sniff and hang out. Melissa was communicative during the stay knowing we weren’t sure how our dog would do, so that was helpful. Our dog had three great days with Melissa and we are so grateful for that! Melissa is a great dog sitter who I can’t recommend highly enough!”

“Cindy took very good care of Cooper… she sent pictures of Cooper snuggling with her family and her dog Pepper. I would highly recommend Cindy. Cindy is a wonderful person… very kind and flexible. She is a fantastic dog sitter. I would definitely bring Cooper back again.”

About: I’m 59 years old and I’ve cared for many dog breeds since I was 10, poodle, lab, mixed breeds, golden doodle, pitbull mix. I take pride in how I take care of my dog from what I feed him, clean up after him, and keep him happy and comfortable. I believe I can offer the same attention to detail for a guest dogs needs. I am a full time programmer at the Riverhead County Clerk’s Office working 7-3 Mon-Fri, I would like to try boarding on the weekends and possibly during the week as I get more comfortable with this process I have a fenced in yard 4 foot fence, and own a 5 year old mixed breed terrier that loves to play. I’d be looking to care for friendly small to medium sized dogs that have are up to date on shots from the vet. I have a spare large crate if needed but it would be best if you have your own since your pet is used to that one. I’d like to see vet records of shots and meet before hand to make sure our pets get along
“Tessa was great with our golden retriever, and we're so glad our precious pup was able to stay with her. Her lovely home is on a secluded lake and is still very close to Southampton town center. She took our pup for walks both places and cared for her very well. Our pup was a happy camper when we picked her up having had a wonderful stay with Tessa. Thank you!”

“Christine is fantastic! We boarded our 9 month old Bernese Mountain Dog with her for the weekend. From the moment we stepped into her backyard Mr. Winston wanted to play and hang out. Would highly recommend!”

“At VERY short notice Albert took care of Milo and we couldn’t have been happier. He was great and too great care of him…definitely would book with him again next time we’re out east….thanks, Albert!”

“Matthew & Kristin were just incredible with our Berner Bentley! They took him in as if he were their own, as did their two beautiful dogs. The daily updates with pictures and videos made us smile and gave us peace of mind while we were away. Bentley was clearly on vacation too! It was evident when we picked him up that he had had a blast, he even searched all the rooms in our house trying to find his new friends once we returned home. We will definitely be reaching out to Matthew & Kristin again the next time we need a sitter for Bentley. We can’t thank them enough for taking such great care of him!”

“I left Mango with Jeff when my boyfriend and I went into the city for the night and it was a great experience from drop off to pick up. I had never used Rover before so I was a little nervous about leaving Mango at a strangers house but Jeff made me feel very comfortable and reassured me Mango would be in good hands. While I was in the city Jeff sent me picture updates the entire time! It was nice seeing Mango having such a good time with the other dogs. If I ever need someone to watch Mango again when I am in town, I will definitely call Jeff!”

“Hannah was amazing! She watched our boy for 5 days on a short notice. This was Ryder’s first time away from family. She took such great care of him! We really loved all of her updates with pictures & videos of their activities together. Ryder came back very relaxed and happy. We could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much, Hannah! ❤️”

“Amanda and family was so accommodating to Beau. He was happy to play ball and loved the pool. From the moment we walked into their home I knew our boy would be care for. I would highly recommend your services. Thank you”

“Carol, I’m so happy I found you. Piglet adores you, and you are truly amazing with her. Thank you for making her food and taking her for walks and rides in the car. The pictures you sent are so cute. Carol is a diamond in the care of our fur babies. She has such a great ora about her, and Piglet came home very Zen. Thank you, Carol; we will see you again soon.🌹🐾”

“Colleen truly put me at ease immediately with my 14 year old small dog! She sent pictures of his wonderful adventures in her fenced in lawn, going for walks, playing with his toys and even let him snuggle in bed at night where he is used to sleeping! Colleen was a true professional, inviting to tour her house and did not rush one moment, making sure I felt 100% comfortable. I will absolutely use Colleen again in the future when I’m traveling to Long Island. Thanks Colleen!”
“John has been very responsive throughout the time we were away from our fur baby. He sent photo updates and we couldn’t be more happy with our decision to leave our Reina with him. He is very friendly and we can tell he loves all animals as his own. We will definitely be rebooking whenever we are out of town. Thank you again John !”

About: Hi, I’m Ariel! 🐾 Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From growing up caring for family pets to rescuing dogs in need, I’ve spent decades learning how to understand and care for pups of all ages, personalities, and energy levels. I’m now a proud dog mom to two dogs of my own, both of whom I’ve personally trained from puppyhood. I’ve navigated everything from potty training, crate training, leash manners, and basic obedience to caring for senior dogs who need a little extra patience, comfort, and attention. Whether your dog is a playful puppy, a spirited adult, or a sweet senior, I treat every dog like they’re part of my family. I understand that every pup has unique needs, routines, and quirks, and I take the time to make them feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Expect plenty of walks, playtime, belly rubs, photo updates, and one on one attention. My goal is simple: for your dog to have such a great time that they’re excited to see me again! 🐶💕 Spending the summer in Sag Harbor, I’m fortunate to have access to beautiful walking routes and dog friendly areas, making every outing an adventure. I know how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member in someone else’s care, and I take that responsibility seriously. Reliable, attentive, and genuinely dog-obsessed, I’m here to provide the same level of care I’d want for my own pups. I'm up in Sag Harbor for the summer and currently semi retired from my 14 year career in property management. With two pups of my own I am fully capable of feedings, walks, potty breaks, playtime, cuddles, and some medical. I'm great at understanding the different personalities dogs may have. I will ensure your pups are always safe and well taken care of so you can stay worry free.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Jessica and her family! From drop-off to pickup, the entire process was seamless. She communicated so well throughout Bailey’s stay and went above and beyond to keep us updated with the sweetest pictures and videos. It was such a comfort to see Bailey having so much fun and looking so happy and loved! It was clear that Bailey was treated like part of the family and received so much attention and care. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience or a more caring family to look after her. We will absolutely be booking with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their fur baby! 🐾❤️

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
