“We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Michael & Loraine! It was our first time leaving Bomi with someone outside of family, and they were so patient, kind, and reassuring from the start — answering all our questions and even inviting us to see their clean, spacious home before booking. While we were away, they kept in touch with thoughtful updates and photos, and it was clear Bomi was happy, comfortable, and loved like family. We’re so grateful for their care, attention, and kindness, and would absolutely trust them with Bomi again. Highly recommend!”

“We couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter! Our dog is very high energy and requires a lot of attention, exercise and patience. Kathleen handled everything beautifully. We came home to a happy, healthy and well-cared-for pup. Communication was excellent throughout our trip with regular updates and photos that showed how much fun our dog was having, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. It was clear our dog was treated with genuine care and affection not just looked after. We highly recommend Kathleen to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and caring dog sitter. We'll definitely be booking with her again.”

“We are very happy with Teddi’s stay with Mariia. She was very communicative and sent daily pictures. Mariia took excellent care of our pet. I highly recommend her and Teddi will return again!!”

“Heather is an excellent pet sitter! Our little senior dog, Miki, stayed with her for a week while we were on vacation. Heather responded to all messages very promptly and is a great communicator. She followed all instructions to the letter and kept us updated on how our little boy was doing. At one point, Miki seemed to be feeling under the weather. Heather calmly shared her concerns and we were able to talk through a solution together. When we picked Miki up, he was happy and comfortable in Heather’s home. I would recommend Heather without hesitation!”

“Jeffrey was extremely responsive to my questions and wrote every day with updates and photos. He was patient with Papaya's anxiety, and madensure she ate, even if it meant offering her handfuls of food at a time. It's the first time we left our sweet goofy girl with someone, but it felt good to know she was in such good hands. Thank you, Jeffrey!”

About: As dog parents with experience in fostering, we know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. We’ll take the time to learn your dog’s personality, routine, and favorite things so they feel comfortable while you’re away. We understand that every dog is different, some love playtime and long walks, while others prefer a slower pace and extra cuddles. We will follow your care instructions closely and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel connected and confident that your dog is being cared for. I work a very flexible hybrid schedule, and my husband works fully remotely, so someone is always home throughout the day. Caring for our own dogs is already part of our daily routine, and we work together to provide potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. We believe walks and enrichment are important parts of keeping dogs happy and fulfilled. We make time for walks that let dogs set the pace and enjoy plenty of sniffing, along with enrichment activities tailored to their interests and energy levels. We also enjoy visiting local parks and fields for more exploring. At home, we have a tether anchored in the backyard for supervised outdoor time, and we will always follow your dog’s comfort level and preferences when/if you prefer for it to be used. Before booking, we’ll discuss your pet’s needs and usual routine to make sure our schedule and activities are a good fit. Whether your pet stays in our home or I visit them in yours, their safety and comfort are always a priority. Before booking, we’ll discuss their personality, routines, and any special needs so we can provide care that feels familiar and comfortable. For stays in our home, we’ll arrange a meet-and-greet to see how your dog gets along with ours and make sure everyone is a good fit. We’ll discuss feeding arrangements, supervision, and any boundaries your dog needs, including having their own space to relax. Outdoor tether time is always supervised and only offered with your approval. For walks and drop-in visits, I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, walks, and home security. We’ll also go over any triggers, escape tendencies, or other concerns so I know what to watch for. You’ll receive photos and updates, and your pet will get plenty of attention, patience, and care.

“Andrew was wonderful from start to finish. He was easy to communicate with, very responsive, and flexible- we had to adjust our days after booking due to an unexpected funeral and he made the changes quickly. Our dog got really great care with frequent updates and pics and it was very clear Andrew really enjoys taking care of animals! Would highly recommend. Thank you!!”

“Jennifer & her family took the best care of my dog, Luigi. Jennifer kept me updated daily about how Luigi was doing at her home with photos and any updates from that day. I truly appreciated how communicative she was with me during his stay. Her home is honestly the best set up for dog boarding and she did a fantastic job taking care of my dog. Her yard has a great space for dogs to let their energy out and she has dogs, cats and rabbits (along with other animals) that my dog got to interact with during his stay. Luigi had a blast with Jennifer and her family and I am certain he can’t wait to visit them again. I highly recommend Jennifer’s boarding service and will certainly be seeing her again for another boarding!”

“Zoey was an excellent caregiver to our shy dog! It was our first time boarding her and we were so happy with the experience! She provided updates and pictures and we were able to enjoy our vacation with no worries! We highly recommend her! We will definitely be using her in the future!”

“Gregory watched our mini golden for 6 days and was super communicative keeping us updated on how she was adjusting and sending lots of pictures. She had a great time”

“Yuka was absolutely wonderful with CoCo! This was CoCo’s first stay with her, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Yuka kept me updated with photos and messages, and it was clear that CoCo felt comfortable and at home very quickly. She followed all of CoCo’s feeding and care instructions carefully and treated her like part of the family. CoCo was happy, relaxed, and very well cared for throughout her stay. Yuka and her family truly love dogs, and that gave me so much peace of mind. I feel completely comfortable leaving CoCo with her again and have already planned her next stay in October. I highly recommend Yuka to anyone looking for a caring, responsible, and trustworthy sitter! ❤️”

“Chonlada and her family provided a wonderful stay for our dog who is sixteen years old and has dietary and other special needs. She was treated like she was at a spa retreat. They even knitted her a new sweater!”

About: I started to fully take care of dogs in 2022, I got my first dog as an adult. He was a reactive Coonhound that only really bounded with me. Unfortunately, two years after we got him, he got cancer. Now we own 2 high energy, loves everybody puppies. So I know how to handle reactive dogs, sick dogs, high energy, lazy, everywhere in between. I work from home and have a flex schedule. So I am pretty accommodating to whatever time you need to drop your dogs off. I do travel sometimes throughout the year but for a majority im in the area. I have a a fenced yard and two friendly dogs. They love to play and make new friends. I will walk them and play with them outside. I also have playpens, so if your dog needs a little place of their own, I can make that happen.
“Allison and Kevin and their girls were so wonderful with our dog, Lily! They were very responsive and sent us a ton of pictures and updates. They were super friendly and took great care of our girl. Can’t recommend them enough! Thank you!!”

About: Dogs are family, and that is how I treat every visit. I have spent 12 years caring for my family dog and now my own, along with regular walks, drop-ins, and overnight care for the pets of neighbors, friends, and family. I am comfortable with dogs of every size. Millie, the Bernese Mountain Dog in my photos, is my boyfriend's dog and lives at his house, but I walk and care for her often. At over 100 pounds, so I can handle larger dogs who may pull on walls. I am experienced with administering oral medications, managing leash-reactive dogs on walks, and handling standard crate and feeding routines. I keep detailed notes on each pet's needs and quirks, and I always have your vet's information on hand in case of an emergency. You will never have to wonder how your dog is doing, because I am happy to send updates throughout a visit. I am available for early morning visits and again toward the end of the workday and into the evening, which suits pet parents who need care before or after their own workday. Midday visits may be possible with advance notice. I have some weekend availability as well; just message me and we will coordinate. Safety Your pet's safety comes first. Dogs stay leashed and harnessed any time we are outside, including in shared hallways, elevators, and lobbies, since neighbors and other dogs can appear around a corner without warning. I check the weather before every walk and adjust: short routes and shaded paths in the heat, and less time outside in the cold. Before the first visit, I make sure your vet's information, any medications, and other specifics are written down or saved in the Rover app for easy reference. We can go over detailed instructions at the meet and greet or by message beforehand. If anything seems wrong, you will hear from me immediately. Trust I work full time in HR, so confidentiality and the careful handling of sensitive information are things I take seriously. I treat your keys, door codes, and home with that same standard of care. Keys are never labeled with an address or unit number, and they are stored securely in my home when not in use. You will receive photos and an update with every visit. I never bring anyone along, and I never share photos of your pet publicly without asking first. If my plans change, you will hear about it early rather than at the last minute. Environment In your home, I stick to the areas you tell me to use and leave everything as I found it, including lights, doors, and the thermostat. I also pick up after your pet and tidy anything we have used before I leave.
About: I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember and have had both dogs and cats throughout my life. I’ve always had a love for animals and I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust to care for your pets while you’re away. While stationed in Germany, I regularly cared for the pets of military spouses and families. This gave me experience caring for cats and dogs of all ages and personalities! I also have experience caring for pets with specific needs, including dogs and cats that require medication. I’m very comfortable following detailed instructions from owners and making sure medications, routines, feeding schedules, and other care needs are handled properly. Most importantly, I know every pet is different & I always take the time to make sure they’re comfortable, while also giving them the same love, attention, and dependable care I would want for my own pets. I’m happy to work with you to schedule visits, walks, or other care based on what works best for you and your pet! I know consistency is important, so I always do my best to keep schedules as familiar and comfortable as possible while your pet is in my care. I want every pet I care for to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owner is away. Whether I’m caring for them in my home or yours, I’ll treat them like I would my own. I’m mindful about things like keeping doors secure, staying on top of feeding and medication schedules, and making sure they get plenty of attention. I’m also happy to send pictures and updates along the way so you can relax knowing your furry friend is in good hands.

“Ena and Daniel (and Lucy) were fantastic!! I had a last minute trip out of town and not only were they accommodating and friendly but they made me at ease. My flight back ended up being delayed and this was also super seamless to extend considering the unforeseen circumstances. Bella will be back 😊”

Shamira was amazing with Loki. She send me updates daily and made sure to let me know how Loki was doing throughout the day. She was super flexible with drop off and pick up which I really appreciated and was comfortable administering his eye medication. We’re definitely booking with her again. Thank you Shamira!

Mia enjoyed her time with Tyler. I received updates & photo which gave me peace of mind Mia was being well cared for over the weekend. From the time of our first meeting Tyler was interested in Mia’s eating schedule & routines so he could best care for her. He returned every text immediately. I would definitely recommend & use Tyler’s services again.

Jason took Maxi in on a short notice and took such great care of her! We are always nervous about leaving her with others but she just looked so calm and happy in all of the pictures that he sent, which put us at ease the entire time. I would highly recommend his services!

I had such a great experience boarding my dog with her. It's hard to leave your dog with someone else, but she made the whole process easy and stress-free. You can tell she genuinely loves dogs and enjoys caring for them. When I picked Spoofer up, she was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. That meant everything to me. I never worried while I was away because I knew she was in good hands. If you're looking for someone who is dependable, caring, and will treat your dog with kindness and attention, I highly recommend her. I'll definitely be boarding my dog with her again!
Katia took Bear in last minute and we are so grateful to her. She took such great care of Bear. She sent us photos and videos showing him playing, going on walks, cuddling and just having an awesome time! Thank you again for helping us in a pinch but moreover for treating Bear with such loving care!

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
94% of sitters in Gwynedd can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Gwynedd home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Gwynedd.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Gwynedd sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
