We booked her for one week of drop-in visits with our "old man" Teddy who's 14 years old and has neurological issues with his back legs along with vision & hearing loss. It just took 2 visits for him to feel comfortable with Karlin. She has never-ending patience with Teddy & even HAND FEEDS him. She also visits with our cat Toby who is usually pretty leery of new people in the house. Because of recent surgery, I was temporarily unable to lift our doggie, so Karlin was a life-saver with her daily drop-in visits. She's sweet as can be and fun to visit with as well. We are all thankful we found her on ROVER!”

About: Growing up with dogs, cats, and guinea pigs, I have a wide array of pet care experience for animal friends large and small. Frequent dogwalker and pet-sitter with extensive knowledge of care practices. I am a remote worker and student in my day-to-day life, so I can frequently care for pets in my off-time in between classes and while working at home. About: I've had pets my entire life. I'm retired now and travel extensively for part of the year, so I'm unable to have pets of my own and thought this would be a great way to keep busy while I am in town. I have a doggy door and a large, gated backyard for games of fetch or hide and seek. I will provide a safe, loving home while you are away or drop-in if you so choose. When I'm in NOLA, I often work part-time from home. I'm retired so you could call me a homebody, and I'm often found working in my garden. In the fourth quarter of the year, I do travel until thanksgiving but will keep my calendar here updated. I am relatively flexible with scheduling. My son recently moved and took his Boston Terrier with him, so there are no longer any pets in my home. I have a large, fenced yard perfect for games of hide-and-seek or fetch, and I'm often in the back as well working on my garden. I do not have any plants that would present a danger. I love to take long, daily walks on the levee, which is only two blocks away...and would love to bring your pet along! I often have family visit, who also love pets.

About: I have personally taken my dog to dog training and also have a reference book on it incase a dog proves to be difficult. I love dogs and wish to make them as happy and comfortable as possible. I do ask that if your pet is boarding with us that they are up to date on all of their vaccines for the safety of both of our pets, potty trained, and does not chew on things. When we have pets in the house someone will always be there. Currently we are available to do Drop-ins visits and walk the dogs weekdays and weekends. We have a fenced yard, but we also take the dogs for walks and the dogs will always be supervised. When doing Drop-in Visits in your home and I am big on respecting your space in the same way that I would want someone to respect my space. I like to create an atmosphere of trust with both your furbabies and your home.

About: I’m a major pet person and I’ve always been drawn to caring for animals. My friends, family, and co-workers have all relied on me to take care of their pets. I’m great with all dog types, sizes, and attitudes. I’m also a huge cat person! Every pet I care for I treat as my own. My availability is currently wide open. I work freelance I’m film and TV production and there aren’t many projects in town at the moment . I’ve had many different dogs growing up and have dealt with many different personalities/breeds. I want to focus on healthy physical activities for your fur babies during my time with them in order to get some of that extra energy out! I am currently available every day after 3pm and all day on Sundays and Mondays. I always like to respect my clients’ rules of the house, especially when the owners are not with the pet. I know animals require a lot of routine, and I try my best to keep all of their daily activities within that specific pets’ routine.

About: My family rescued our first dog, April from the local dive bar when I was six years old. According to the vet, April was just two weeks. She had been separated from her mother at birth and hadn’t even opened her eyes yet. My parents worried she'd be too much trouble. I begged to keep her and promised I'd take care of her. April became my sister, my best friend, and my greatest teacher. I fed April from a bottle, taught her how to walk up the stairs, and took her to puppy training classes. April taught me the practice of presence, and the value of unconditional love. Our time spent together makes up some of my most cherished childhood memories. At the age of 13, pet-sitting became my first job. I loved it so much, I didn’t even understand how it could be considered a job. I took care of the animals, and the animals took care of me. In my decade+ of pet-sitting, I’ve worked with a range of breeds, ages, and temperaments. Walking 100lb. pitbulls with fear aggression. Administering medication to seniors. Feeding finicky rescued stray cats. I even fostered and re-homed an abandoned puppy that found me on the beaches of Costa Rica. I can confidently claim that I’ve never once had an animal “reject” me as their caretaker, and I think that says a lot. In the last 6 years, I’ve been living and traveling as a digital nomad. My lifestyle doesn’t currently allow for a pet of my own, so pet-sitting is a blessing that allows me the opportunity to care for pets as if they were my own. I work part-time as a meditation & yoga teacher, and part-time remote as an event organizer. This lifestyle allows me to be very flexible in taking on pet-sitting and house-sitting opportunities. I can build most of my work day around your pets schedule (and I'm more than happy to do so!) I offer long-term and short-term visits and overnight stays to take care of your pets in their own home. I've found that, for most pets, being in the security and routine of their own environment is the best way for them to cope with their owners temporary absence. I make sure to upkeep your pet's sense of "normalcy" to the best of my ability by feeding and walking them at regular intervals, being an active participant in play time (when desired), giving them snuggles (when desired), and just keeping them company! I make sure to upkeep YOUR sense of "normalcy" by respecting your space, keeping it as clean and organized as when I arrive (if not even more so), and following any & all house rules. About: From Great Danes to tabby cats and farm friends, I’ve been caring for animals as long as I can remember. Most recently I’ve been my friends and family’s go-to pet sitter and walker. I’m experienced with elderly and disabled dogs, as well as caring for pets with specific dietary and other medical needs (including the extremely anxious). I’m a full time remote worker with total control over my schedule so I’m very flexible. I am pretty active and enjoy at least one walk per day, I can often be seen walking my own pup around my neighborhood or local trails. I am a very attentive pet parent and prefer to break up time spent between socialization and activity, general care (food, cleaning, etc), walks and calming time. I prefer not to spend much time around others homes but mine is pet proof with a large fenced yard, ample cozy space and an easy to reach location
