About: I'm an experienced house and pet sitter with 30+ completed sits along the East Coast through TrustedHousesitters and personal referrals. Testimonials here: ........ I've cared for dogs and cats of all ages and temperaments, including senior pets, animals with anxiety or trauma histories, and pets with special needs. I'm comfortable administering medications and following detailed care routines. What you can expect: I learn each animal's routine rather than applying one approach to every pet. I send daily photo updates. I'm naturally tidy and leave homes clean and calm, and I'm glad to look after plants or a garden while I'm there. A few practical notes, so we can both tell early whether it's a good fit: 1. Meet & greet before every first booking. I require a video call or an in-person visit so we can both assess fit. You get to meet me and ask whatever you need to; I get to meet your pet and see the space. Until we've had that conversation, please treat my response as interest rather than a confirmed booking, and keep your other options open. I won't accept a booking before a meet and greet for house sitting. 2. Weekday availability. I see clients on video Monday through Friday, 10a–4p. I'm in the home the whole time, so your pets get frequent short breaks and company throughout the day, but I'm not available for walks or errands during those hours. I am able to support potty breaks during the 12:00-1:00pm hour. 3. Workspace. I need a desk or table at standard height with a supportive chair — not a dining chair, stool, couch, or bed — in a room with a door that closes, plus wifi that reliably holds a video call. I bring my own laptop, monitor, and stand, so I only need the surface and the space. My sessions are confidential, so I can't be interrupted or overheard once I'm on. If you're unsure whether your setup works, a quick video walkthrough settles it in two minutes. 4. Pets I care for. Calm adult dogs and cats. I'm not currently accepting puppies under a year, and I'd want to talk first about dogs with a bite history, special medical needs, or significant reactivity. 5. Service area. Based in the Portsmouth/Eliot area; I generally take bookings within about 25 miles. 6. Notice. At least two days for new clients, and more when possible for longer stays. Tell me about your pet — their routines, quirks, and what makes them feel safest. I'd love to hear it! I work from home with structured hours, which allows me to be available for walks, feeding, medication schedules, playtime, and companionship at certain times of the day, roughly every 3-4 hours. My approach is calm and intentional. I honor your pet’s established rhythm and do my best to create a grounded environment that feels like home. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, my top priority is to maintain a sense of safety, routine, and calm. I take time to learn your pet’s unique routines, preferences, and personality so I can offer care that feels familiar. In the home, I’m quiet, clean, and respectful of your space. I aim to leave things just as I found them—or better. I water plants, bring in mail, manage light tidying, and keep things running smoothly so you can return home with ease. I also provide thoughtful updates with photos and check-ins, so you feel connected while away.

Our scheduled pet sitter canceled and in desperation, I searched the internet and found Rover. I sent out my request and in minutes James responded. I was instantly relieved. He came over to visit us before leaving for vacation to meet us and our pets. James administered medication and took wonderful care of our 4 cats and dog. We are super grateful for all the help and services James provided us. We will definitely rebook again!!!

About: I've had and cared for pets since I was a child, from guinea pigs to rabbits to cats. Currently a very doting cat mom to two (one young cat and one senior) I work from home, so I can be flexible and available whenever necessary. I know how it is to be away from your pets, so its my job and pleasure to make everyone as comfortable and relaxed as possible while you're not home. I genuinely love the company of animals so much, and would be honored to care for yours. I'm a self employed artist and work from home, so I am available and flexible as needed. I have two of kitties of my own that I treat like my children, so I understand the maintenance and needs of your loved ones! I'm available for drop in visits, or longer hang sessions, feeding, litter care and medications if needed. Overnights upon request with two weeks notice.

About: I have always grown up with dogs all around me. My mom is a dog lover so we always had 1-3 dogs in the house at all times! I have a full time job during the week, 9-5 Monday through Friday, so I am looking to help on the weekends! I am available for drop in visits at any time on Saturdays and Sundays. I treat all animals as though they are my own. If I am taking care of your animals I promise to take care of them as I would my own pets.

Alyssa is absolutely wonderful. I have a new puppy...and have to work. Alyssa stops in midday to check in on him. She goes above and beyond. Not only does she care for and play with him, but she also takes the time to help reinforce his training. Hank and I think Alyssa is the best!

Laurie was wonderful! We booked her for a few days worth of drop-in visits with our 1 year old dog Luna (40-lb border collie mix). We've only had Luna for 4 months (rescue) and she is incredibly timid and loud around strangers in the house. We were worried going into the weekend that we might even have to cancel our trip because Luna has been unmanageable by just about everyone we've tried to get to walk her. And even with us, on walks she is easily distracted and will try to chase everything from squirrels to grasshoppers. It can be a challenge for non-family to even get close enough to get a leash on her. Laurie was so kind and patient with Luna, and spent so much time with her to gain her trust. She proved fully capable of leashing Luna and bringing her on long walks. We will definitely be booking Laurie again! (provided she would be willing!)

About: Dogs were my first love. I've cared for dogs young and old, adopted and fostered dogs, raised puppies, provided training at all ages, and provided post-op and healthcare for unwell dogs. I have extensive experience loving and supporting dogs through their toughest moments, including separation anxiety, phobias, and illnesses. I've walked with pups from all paws of life - all breeds, ages, energies, and personalities - and loved them all!! All dogs are wonderful, and I will never, ever discriminate by breed. As a full-time dog pamperer, I've got plenty of attention, love, toys, and fluffy blankets to keep your furbaby happy and loved while you are away! I will love your dog exactly as they are - high-energy, low-energy, and everything in between. Whether they want endless walks or endless snuggles, I am excited to make your dog's stay an unforgettable getaway just for them! I know how hard it is to trust someone with your best friend. I'm happy to go above and beyond to make you feel confident that your pet is in good hands - from photos and updates to video check-ins. Your comfort matters to me just as much as your furbaby's. I always provide top-tier pet care, giving you peace of mind so you can enjoy your vacation to the fullest! I have a highly flexible schedule that allows me to give your pup all the love and attention they deserve! I am delighted to accommodate your furbaby anytime with enough notice. I am available for boarding weekends and weekdays, any time of year. My dog is the center of my universe, and I will treat your pup like they were my own! About: I graduated from college with a degree in Veterinary Technology. I currently work at vet hospital in Maine. I have been with animals all my life. And have two of my own. I work full time so during the week days afternoon potty time will be hard but if they can handle over 6+ hours of being alone then it will work perfectly. I would care for your animal at your house so it will be easier on your animal and not be anxious when at a new place. I will give them lots of cuddles and love. I treat them like they are my own. We will play all sorts of games too.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Cat Sitting in Greenland on Rover is $24.42 per visit (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Cat Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Cat Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 938 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Greenland. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Greenland. On Rover:

  • 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
