About: Hi! 🤗 thanks for checking me out! I have a ton of experience with animals! I have experience in animal hospitals and doggy daycares alike 😃 Taking care of animals is where my heart is. I’ve always had multiple animals at a time. CPR and trauma experienced. I’m available all the time currently! Which means longer walks, play in the yard, or cuddles! I walk dogs full time so don’t be shy! I can’t watch anyone in my apartment, but I can come to your home or take them out and about! My attitude changes with each animal as I learn them. Most dogs I’m pretty playful with and have a lot of high energy play, some like to just sit next to a warm body on the couch and I can do that too.

“Carissa was amazing. We are so grateful to have found someone so caring, who treats our dog as her own. Our dog felt comfortable immediately and fell in love with her. She makes us feel so relaxed, comfortable, and at ease when he is in her care. She is our go to girl! I would highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs!”

“Ainsley did an awesome job with our 2 dogs! We will definitely be having her watch them again soon! She not only did a great job with the boys but the house was also spotless when we got home which is always the best! 12/10 recommend!”

“Jessica was so great while watching our fur babies!!! She sent pics throughout the day for the entire week we were gone and our house was spotless when we got back. We definitely will be asking Jessica to watch our pups again!!! Thank you so much for taking such good care of our fur babies, Jessica!!!”
“Our experience with Kathy was amazing! She took amazing care of my 2 boy cats as well as our condo, left everything the way she found it if not better. Stan has a bad heart and needs medication and Kathy handled everything perfectly. She sent multiple updates and photos a day (which I loved!) 10/10 recommend her. We already have her booked for our next trip!”

About: I have had my current dog for over a year and we are training to become a Therapy Dog Team. I previously volunteered at Capital Humane Society for 6 months as an Adoption Counselor. I am currently volunteering at Great Lakes Dog Rescue. Growing up I helped take care of the family dog. I took Veterinary Science at the Henry Doorly Zoo in high school and have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Nutrition and Exercise Science. I have experience in training and know how to give dogs vaccinations. I am also happy to provide a basic behavioral profile for your dog for future sittings. I'm currently working part-time in a clinic and in school. Outside of that I have an open schedule and am happy to make time to take care of dogs. I live in an apartment and walk my dogs almost daily. More than happy to do dog introductions before sitting. If it’s a house sitting, more than happy to keep the dogs fairly separate and will take my dog to my apartment instead of leaving the dogs alone. I will never leave my dog and your dog alone in the house.
“Such kind, loving care by Victoria for our Graysen while we were away. It was a great piece of mind knowing he was in such capable hands. We would get periodic updates and pictures which really helped to ease our minds. Fantastic pet sitter!”

“Lily did a wonderful job sitting for my Maize and a friend’s Cooper. They have two distinctly different personalities and Lily was able to make them both comfortable. She sent me pictures daily, which I really appreciated. She also left the house in perfect order. I will definitely hire her again. I highly recommend Lily!”

“Shirley was very professional. She set up a meeting in advance to meet with our puppy, Henry, and she then was there when we needed her. She took very good care of Henry and sent us pictures while we were gone. We will definitely have Shirley again when we need a sitter for Henry.”

“Brooklyn was absolutely amazing with our two dogs! From the moment we met her, it was clear she genuinely loves animals and takes great care of them. She kept us updated throughout their stay with photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. When we came home both of our girls were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. She was attentive to their individual needs and treated them like they were her own. We could tell they were comfortable and loved while we were gone. We would absolutely book with Brooklyn again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy dog sitter. Thank you for taking such great care of our pups!”

About: I've had 2 dogs in my life, but my family has always had dogs, so ive been around dogs my whole life, I will take care of your baby, as if it were my own, have had some experience w meds, etc. over the years, I would do anything for the fur babys Right nw I'm available 24/7, just lost my job at Walmart, I've done retail for over 20 yrs, would really like to have a chance to doggy sit, would love to stay outta retail, rather deal w the 4 legged critters😁 Right nw I would love to be able to go to there house, I live in a small park right nw, eventually one day I can sit at my place

About: I thought I would grow up to be a veterinarian. I love to sit and enjoy my time with Dogs. Animals my passion and I love and enjoy all of them! I’d love to use my strengths and education with 15 years of hands on animal handling skill and training to cater to the needs of your pets to comfort your companion while you're away, I can assure you the pet owner they’re living their best life in my care. I send tons of pictures and show love care and compassion. I have been an animal handler and curated for 15 years, comforting and catering to your companions. I would love to be that trusted person you book when it comes to your pets needs and overall bliss! I have open availability. Taking new clients! I handle dogs and cats every single day! I have a wonderful dog named Charlie (really my mom’s dog) and have been handling a multitude of breeds for 15 years. Learning all different kinds of personalities. I have come accustomed to understanding animals in a way that serves me and can serve you comfort and overall peace and joy knowing your companion is in the best care possible. I love being an animal handler and specializing in dogs specifically. I have curated my skills and know how to really be there for your pet in a way that matters. Every day and every action will add up in your overall animals life quality and I know how to do things for your pet that will matter later down the line, when you don’t have time to. I do! Communication is huge for me and your pet! Your pets schedule and goals are my mission and I don’t miss out on sending tons of update pics and what we have planned for the day! I care for dogs in my clients home. I do not host in my home. But the ultimate focus when I’m at my clients home is paying attention to your dogs behavior. Separation anxiety is a huge trigger for dogs not eating and becoming unhealthy and creating unhealthy habits and I do everything in my power to distract the worry and bring play and fun and most importantly comfort. Your dog will learn how to communicate with me very quickly and once I can assess their needs, wants and desires then they tend to feel heard and more at peace with their owner being away. Creating or sticking to a schedule and incorporating healthy dog play and walks is important. A healthy dog is an happy dog! When I come back they are joyful! I love that feeling of creating a good relationship with your pet, And with YOU!
“Felix was wonder!!! So glad to have found him to watch our two little fur-babies. He left our house just as we left it. My pups were very well cared for. We will definitely be asking Felix to watch them again!!!”

“I booked Kyla for house sitting my dog during her post-op recovery period from knee surgery. Kyla was great with Lucy, was caring, calm, affectionate, and Lucy definitely grew fond of her. She also followed all the care instructions i gave her, feeding her, giving her meds when needed, taking her on walks, and potty breaks whenever lucy needed even more often than her usual routine that i gave her. Kyla was also accommodating to changes in schedule when needed, would definitely book her again!”

“This was our first time using a pet sitter that was not family. From the minute I met Sara at the meet and greet I knew she would be a great fit. She followed everything exactly the way we asked. The pets were very well taken care of. She texted updates throughout the day as well as pictures. We will use her again on our next vacation. Thanks Sara!”

About: I have been around animals my entire life. I grew up on a farm with two dogs as a child and have had many different-sized animals since. Im currently laid off work while recovering from a shoulder surgery so I have open availability and my shoulder is healed so I have no restrictions on walks or animal size I own a fenced-in lot next to my house for outside time. I have one super friendly dog who loves it out there and a room with a door so I don't have to use a crate inside.
“I can’t say enough about Patti K. She watched and loved on my fur babies while I was out of town on vacation. It was great to be able to relax and know they were in good hands. She sent me pictures and Videos of them. Not only did she take good care of my animals but I couldn’t even tell she had spent 5 days at my house. I will definitely use her again and so should you.”

“Elena walked Bowie as agreed, kept in touch during our trip, and when we returned home, Bowie seemed happy and well cared for. Our neighbor noted that she took Bowie on longer walks, not just around the yard, which was nice to hear. We would use her again.”

Sarah was wonderful with Rowdy, and I could tell when we got home that Rowdy was very well taken care of! Sarah sent lots of updates on her time with Rowdy, including photos and videos. She also left the house spotless. I would definitely recommend Sarah, and we will be asking her to watch Rowdy again for us!

So glad I found Lily! She is kind, responsible, follows directions and brought me so much peace of mind knowing my 2 dogs and cat were taken care of while we were out of town. She stayed overnight with them and kept them company. Our trip itinerary changed a bit and Lily was so flexible about what time we needed her to be at our home. She sent me pics of how content my fur babies were in her care at our home. I will be booking with her again for sure. Highly recommend!

We recently went on a 1 week vacation and had never left our 2 fur babies with anyone but family. We met with Tammy and immediately felt very comfortable with her. Our 2 spoiled doodles took to her right away. She kept us updated with pictures and updates and we were confident that our girls were in good hands. We came home to a house that was cleaner than we left it, and 2 very happy dogs! I really think that they preferred Tammy over us!! We have already booked her for our vacation in May, and would definitely recommend her for your pet care needs!
Abagail did a great job with our dog, Charlie. She was very responsive and an amazing communicator. It’s hard finding someone to trust with your pets while away on vacation but I am glad we found Abagail in such the short amount of time we did. From the moment I messaged her, she responded instantly and initiated the meet and greet the very same day. She sent updated messages and pictures of Charlie every single day. We just got home and our house is in great condition, she cleaned and took care of things she was not even asked to do. I appreciate her very much and would absolutely book with her again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Grand Blanc walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Grand Blanc maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Grand Blanc choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Grand Blanc. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
