“Craig is the best walker we could have found- prompt, reliable and a nice guy. Rover is very good and sends all related info all the time. Higgins Stands at the door waiting for his special walk!!”

“We accidentally left the door locked, and Angela kindly waited for us to call her with the code. She even made a return trip for us once we finally were able to get the door unlocked, I would highly recommend her. She is a faithful and determined pet sitter.”

About: I’ve grown up with rescue dogs for my entire life. I also volunteer at local shelters by walking dogs and cleaning their kennels. I started an animal welfare club at my school, and I am very passionate about loving and caring for animals. I’m available mostly all weekdays and most weekends throughout the summer. I am out of town during a few weekends, but not all. I leave for college on August 20th. In a client’s home, I will ensure that the house is kept clean and clean up any messes your pet makes. I take pride in my attention to detail. Additionally, I will ensure that your pet is cared for when they go outside. I love playing with dogs and spending time in nature with them, whether that means taking them for hikes, playing fetch, etc!
“Rebecca took care of our Elsa on the first trip I’ve gone without her. I was so nervous leaving without it being someone I knew but she made me feel so reassured, Elsa instantly loved her and she was amazing with communication while I was away! I highly recommend her and will want to have her care for Elsa anytime I’m ever needing help in the future!”

About: I've been around dogs my entire life! I adopted my childhood dog when I was about 8 years old. I have experience working with pets of all ages and can administer medication, including injections. I don't have a formal job and since this is my summer break from university, I'll have plenty of time to care for your furry friends! I have experience in fulfilling almost any need a pet has.
“Nicole is really amazing. She went out of her way to come help me on short notice even though it turned out I was out of her normal range. She was really sweet about it and still came out to help me out in a pinch. She was amazing with my dog, took very good care of him, and was super helpful across the board. You can tell she really truly cares about her profession and I cannot recommend her enough. She does this because she loves it and you can really see that shine through. I really wish Nicole was closer as she would be by new go-to for dog care needs. Please don't hesitate to reach out to her, you will have a great experience!”

“Thank you for taking care of our Maddie. Margaret was kind enough to meet our girl before she came to walk and care for her. I loved the pictures and information received. My pup has a lot of separation anxiety and we were glad to have Margaret here to take care of her.”

About: For the past four years, I have volunteered with the ASPCA, where I have gained valuable hands on experience caring for animals of all ages. In addition, I have worked as a pet sitter for the past three years and have become a trusted dog walker and pet sitter within my community, providing reliable care whenever families need assistance. My experience extends well beyond pet sitting. My family and I have fostered more than 50 dogs, ranging from newborn puppies to senior dogs, who needed to be loved exclusively during their final stages of life. Animals have always been a central part of my life, and I am deeply committed to treating every pet as if they were my own. My highest priority is to ensure each animal feels safe, loved, and well cared for while in my care, giving pet owners complete peace of mind. I look forward to meeting you! I am a student at Villanova University, and currently on summer break, therefore I have a very flexible schedule and can easily accommodate to your pet's needs! I prefer to care for pets at the clients home, as our dogs are all rescues and not friendly around other animals. I offer a variety of services to fit your pet's needs, including dog walking, drop-in visits, daytime pet sitting, overnight stays, and check-ins for feeding, potty breaks, or companionship while you're away. I will treat your pets like family and will always care for them as if they were my own!

“Chen has been a blessing! I was looking for a reliable dog walker for a while. Chen is great with my two large labradoodles who have a tendency to pull from time to time. She is always punctual and communicative when the schedule needs to change. I appreciate that she always sends pictures and updates of how the pups are doing and keeps me posted of their shenanigans like when they got into their wet food the other day. She even cleaned it up and put the food away for me. If you are looking for someone to take care of your pups I highly recommend Chen! She is great!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Gradyville
We used Kate to walk our dog because my husband had knee replacement and I was working. This is my first experience using a dog walker. I was really nervous about it. Kate put my fears to rest. She was in communication about my dogs wants and needs when walking. She sent a report of where they went and what my dog did( pooping, rolling in the snow etc…) and a photo. I couldn’t be happier. I trust Kate implicitly and will use her again.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Gradyville. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. - 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
