About: I have owned and cared for dogs for my entire life which has given me many skills that I now share with other dog owners. I am very comfortable with walks, playtime, and routines for dogs of all ages and personalities. I love exercising and going on long walks, so I can accommodate for any walking needs. I will be sure to give your dog the attention they need while keeping owners updated with pictures so you know that your dog is having a safe and fun time! I am a college student home for the summer, so I am available all day during the week to care for and/or walk your pup! As a lifelong dog owner, I will be sure to treat your dog and your space with the same respect and care that I would my own.

Thank you for taking care of our Maddie. Margaret was kind enough to meet our girl before she came to walk and care for her. I loved the pictures and information received. My pup has a lot of separation anxiety and we were glad to have Margaret here to take care of her.

About: My name is Eleanor. We recently lost our own senior dogs who were 17, 16 and 15. We fostered and subsequently adopted a corgi puppy who we nursed through a PDA heart surgery. He is a happy, healthy pup and LOVES being with other dogs. I am also the mom of five children who are 13, 12, 9 and 5 year old twins. I have provided pet care services for many years but started back up after the addition of our twins :) My husband works from home which allows me to come help you with your furry friend! I am on the board of a senior dog rescue called Senior Dog Haven and Hospice and ran it for 10+ years until I recently passed on the reins. We rescue dogs aged 7 and up that have found themselves homeless later in life. I love animals, especially elderly ones, and have dedicated my life to their care. I have fostered almost 100 senior dogs in the last 10 years and have a ton of experience with special needs dogs. I would love to come love on your dog and spoil them anytime you need me! We require your furry friend to be kid and dog friendly as they will get lots of love from our pack of children and our puppy, Gus Gus! I am a stay at home mom with a husband that works from home. Our schedule is extremely flexible and someone is almost always home. I have a one acre fenced in yard that has a small dog and large dog fenced in area. I love animals and will always take the very best care of them! We often host doggy day care days to tire out pups! We take caring for your furry loved ones seriously, and carry our own insurance coverage for your added peace of mind!

Skills: •veterinary experience •senior animal experience •young animal experience •administering medication •cpr certified I am currently a student, so I am unavailable Mondays-Thursdays 6pm-9:30pm. But, I am very flexible whenever I am not in class to make time to drop by! I am not able to bring pets into my home, since I do have two cats. About: I grew up having pets since I was born, including dogs, turtles, hamsters, guinea pigs and others. My daughters and I have taken care of our neighbors and friends dogs, and we have experience interacting with cats from my brothers and friends. We have a cat named Pumpkin and a guinea pig named Cozy, but my daughters are longing for any dog-sitting especially, so we have plenty of space, love and affection to spare, if needed. I am a teacher with my summers off. My daughters are in camps periodically, but we are largely staying local throughout the rest of the summer, and I have a number of house projects that will keep me based at home for most days. I have a pet-friendly townhouse community that I live in. Safe, slow-moving cars, dog-walking areas with doggie bag stations, coupled with open grassy areas, and conveniently located near several close-by parks and even a dog park 10 minutes way. Other dogs are leashed in the community. If needed, your dog can be kept in our finished basement, with plenty of space to move around. In your home, if you prefer to have the dog walked nearby and/or caged at night, that will not be a problem.

Margo is incredibly compassionate and caring. She is so helpful, reliable, a great communicator and has gone above and beyond. She is caring for my elderly mom's dog - walking him 3 times a day, handling his food, water and medicine. My mom's dog absolutely loves her and whines at the door when he realizes that she's arrived. Margo is also great with my elderly mom. Hire her! You won't regret it.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have always been passionate about caring for animals. In addition to being a lifelong dog owner, I work in healthcare, where attention to detail, patience, compassion, and reliability are essential every day. I bring those same qualities to pet care. I understand that every dog has unique needs, routines, and personalities, and I take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether your pup enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I’ll provide dependable care and plenty of attention. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to give pet parents peace of mind knowing their furry family member is in caring and trustworthy hands. I work full time Tuesday–Friday from 8 AM–4 PM, with occasional Saturdays, but I’m available for evenings and weekends, and drop-in care. Mondays are bit more flexible as of now , that is subject to change end of August. I have two French Bulldogs of my own, so I’m very familiar with the special care and attention this breed requires. Because Frenchies can be prone to overheating and breathing difficulties, I closely monitor activity levels, especially during warm weather, and make sure pets always have access to fresh water, a comfortable environment, and plenty of rest. As both a lifelong dog owner and a healthcare professional, I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior, routine, and overall well-being. I follow all feeding, medication, walking, and care instructions provided by pet parents and make sure pets receive plenty of love, supervision, and companionship. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I maintain a clean, safe environment and treat every animal as if they were my own. I understand how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone else, and I strive to provide reliable care and regular updates so owners can have peace of mind while they’re away.

When I was injured and unable to walk my dog, Luna, Matthew was an absolute lifesaver. He showed up every single day; rain or shine; right on time, without fail. His reliability and dedication gave me such peace of mind during a challenging time. Not only was he dependable, but Luna absolutely adores him. It’s clear he genuinely cares about the dogs he walks. Matthew’s consistency, kindness, and professionalism have been an essential part of both my recovery and Luna’s happiness. I can’t recommend him enough to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring dog walker.

Chen has been a blessing! I was looking for a reliable dog walker for a while. Chen is great with my two large labradoodles who have a tendency to pull from time to time. She is always punctual and communicative when the schedule needs to change. I appreciate that she always sends pictures and updates of how the pups are doing and keeps me posted of their shenanigans like when they got into their wet food the other day. She even cleaned it up and put the food away for me. If you are looking for someone to take care of your pups I highly recommend Chen! She is great!

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Glen Mills. On Rover:

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
