“Leigh was great and so flexible with my last minutes needs! Every detail was followed and Duch was well taken care of! I definitely recommend Leigh and will be rebooking in the future!!”

“Eleanor did an amazing job taking care of our cat Jax that is facing kidney issues. Jax requires multiple oral medicines as well as an IV injection daily, neither of which he is a fan of, but Eleanor was able to swaddle him, administer his medicines, and make it as painless as possible. Would definitely recommend.”

“Cal and Kris were great and went above and beyond! Dozer seemed so happy to spend time with them, they rolled with the punches (regarding some schedule changes), were very responsive and overall so kind!! Cannot recommend enough!”

“Margaret is fantastic! She always takes excellent care of our kitties while we’re away, and it’s a comfort to see our fur babies doing so well when we come home!”

“This was my first time ever using Rover & I’m so happy that I chose Amanda. First of all, it was a last minute request and she was kind enough to squeeze us in. About: This Kat loves animals 🐾 I truly love seeing animals happy—whether they’re running, playing, or simply feeling safe and relaxed. My goal is to create a calm, stress-free environment where your pet feels comfortable, cared for, and genuinely loved. I have hands-on experience working in both a veterinary office and a doggie daycare, which has given me a strong understanding of animal behavior, safety, and attentive care. Whether it’s a walk, playtime, or an overnight stay, I’ll make sure your pet gets the attention, exercise, and comfort they need. If your pet stays with me, I focus on helping them feel secure and at ease—like they’re right at home. I treat every animal as if they were my own, with patience, kindness, and lots of love. I’m also vegan and deeply value compassion for all animals, which naturally carries into how I care for the pets I work with. Their well-being, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. Pet care is something I genuinely enjoy because of the connection and joy animals bring. I know how important your pet is to you, and I take that trust seriously. I am working part time and would love to fit some pet care into my schedule. My job is very flexible and I have at least 20 hours to devote to pet care if not more I have a fenced yard and a small terrier mix that loves company or a possible playmate. I am excited to provide a safe haven for your furry friend

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
