“Thank you for taking such good care of Texas Poliana. It was his first trip to a day care/pet sitter and you made Texas feel very comfortable and cared for. We are looking forward to using your service again in future. The pictures were also great. Thanks for sharing and happy holidays.”

About: Growing up, I always loved our family pets. But recently when I lost my 16 year year-old personal companion, I realize how much time I Spend with him. So I am looking for a furry friend to spend time With and lift my spirits throughout the day. I’ve tended to all ages of animals- from bottle-feeding kittens, to administering medicine to senior dogs. I love all animals and care for them like family. I work remotely during the week so have a flexible schedule to take care of your Fur baby. I am a home body so am flexible on weekends too I love the process of getting to know each animals personality to figure out how they perfer to be loved. I am able to walk, run, wrestle and play with pets if they like, or simply just sit next to them for a good snuggle.
“This was our first time having Monica watch Coco and she was great! She followed all of our instructions and asked all of the necessary questions to learn about our pup. She sent a ton of pictures and videos and it was so nice to see what was happening while we were away. Monica is very sweet and caring and we would highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve taking care of dogs and cats for my whole life. My whole family owns dogs and cats and I all always volunteer to take care of them. I have two rescued puppies that are my entire life I am an orthodontist assistant. My job is five minutes away from my house. I work 3 days a week and the rest of the days I am free and at home I have a 2 acres house, the whole yard is fenced and it has a lot of space for your dog to run and play. I also have two rescued puppies that are extremely friendly that love to play.
About: I’ve watched my aunts dogs many times by myself whenever they were traveling. I always volunteered to take care of the family dog on breaks or weekends to and I love meeting new dogs whenever I see them on walks I’m currently an online college student so I’ll be home at all times. I don’t currently have any part time work-giving me the time to give full care to your dog after my classes. Please choose pick up and drop off times accurately. Let me know an hour in advance if you’re possibly running late for picks up. After two hours from the original pick up time, it will result in a $12/hour late fee. I live in a condo and only five minutes away from a nature trail where I can take them out on walks. My home is spacious and I have a porch for them to laze around for some needed sunlight. Since I have a cat, everything in my home is pet safe and anything dangerous is kept locked away, or closed behind doors. I always make sure the animal will be in the same room as me, moving whenever they go if they wish to explore their new environment.
“Auggie had a great time at day care with you, Savannah. We so appreciate you watching our boy at the last minute. We will definitely reach out next time we are in the area and need care for Auggie. Thank you again!!”

“Everything you could ever hope for! They were so kind, sweet, and understanding. Our GSD puppy had a blast with Sailor. It’s hard for us to entrust our baby to other people but as soon as we met the three of them our puppy and us knew it was going to be perfect. 100/10 without a doubt”

“Gloria is the best! She took great care of our lil’ Teddy. He learned tricks and dog manners from the other well behaved dogs she sits. She sends lots of pics and vids that makes you feel like you are missing out on the fun. She is very patient, kind, and loving to animals.”

“Danielle is the best. Very responsive and sent photos throughout the day. My dog never eats at daycare bc of nerves but she ate at Danielle’s. She was very well taken care of. I hope she’ll have us back!”

“Julie and her family treat my baby Olive as if she were one of their own. There is no shortage of love and attention given in her household. She is great at following instructions, sending updates/pictures, and showering your fur child with affection. I had trepidations about sending a 2 month old puppy to a stranger's home but Julie ameliorated those concerns relatively quickly. I have already rebooked multiple dates with her and will likely do so after that. Our pup absolutely loves her and so will yours!”

About: I have extensive experience with taking care of dogs. It began when I was 14, dog walking for my neighbors. I’ve done overnight stays and drop in visits ever since. I’m currently working from home so I have time to manage your pups! They’ll enjoy their stay and your needs will be met. I can walk and manage them as needed. I have open space and a clean area. The environment is safe and easy to locate. The pups are in a fun and caring location.
About: I've had dogs my entire life and have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and ages. Unfortunately, my family dog recently passed away, which only deepened my appreciation for the love and companionship pets bring into our lives. I recently graduated from Florida State University and regularly volunteered at Champs Chance Rescue in Tallahassee, where I helped care for dogs of different breeds, ages, and temperaments. I also fostered a dog this past semester, which gave me valuable experience providing consistent care and helping a dog adjust to a new environment. I love spending time outdoors, going on walks, and making sure dogs get plenty of exercise, attention, and affection. As a nursing student, I'm responsible, dependable, and attentive to each pet's individual needs, and I treat every dog like they're my own. I’m currently focused on studying for my NCLEX to become a Registered Nurse, so I spend the majority of my time studying from home. I also work part-time as a Pilates instructor, which is typically only a 6–10 hour commitment each week, and my schedule is very flexible. Because of this, I have plenty of time to provide attentive care, companionship, walks, and playtime for your pet throughout the day. My home is a safe and pet-friendly environment with plenty of space for your dog to feel comfortable. I have a pet ferret who stays in his cage, and I am able to crate your dog if needed. I also have a screened-in pool area and live in a gated neighborhood with lots of green space that's perfect for walks. Additionally, there is a local dog park just a short drive away for dogs who enjoy extra exercise and socialization.
“This was our first time at doggie daycare with Jerry. Jax had so much fun playing with the other dogs. It was a great way to give him socialization in a safe manner. I loved getting the pictures so I could see how Jax was doing throughout the day. I could tell he was really happy to have some doggie friends. Thank you so much Jerry! We will be back!!”

“If I could give her more than 5 stars I would! Cheryl was an absolute dream. She was so sweet and great with our spoiled little Yorkie. She was so easy to work with for drops off and pick ups while myself and my family went to the Disney parks. She sent pictures and an update on how my Belle was doing every afternoon. I’m so glad to have found her for my pup!”

“It was a very pleasant experience with Maria. She is kind and friendly and she takes care of our Loki very well. Loki was always excited to see her! We enjoyed our tour knowing someone was taking care of Loki. Thank you so much Maria!”

“Joyce was an amazing dogsitter. Sent me updates and pictures throughout Bears day. Super communicative and welcoming especially for my anxious puppy. She was gentle , warm and kind . Will definitely recommend”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Gotha
PHENOMENAL- if you want somebody to take care of your dog, Laura is your lady! My dog literally had a blast with her and he kept going back to her for more affection when I picked him up. She has two dogs of her own that got along really well with Zero and Laura updated me with any concerns and then she took him to the dog park and on walks. Literally took care of him like he was her own. Seriously so stoked to have found such an amazing Rover in the area.

We LOVE Gabby! She and her dog Ghost made Dakota feel like part of their family! You will absolutely never find a better, more loving, kind, and fun person to love your dog while your away! Don't think twice, Gabby is THE BEST!!! Our dog literally jumped out of the car and RAN to her front door and didn't want to leave! It made my heart so happy knowing that he was so happy being in her care!

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
