She is the BEST! She comes over twice a week to play with my girls since I work long hours. She always sends me updates and lots of pictures for me. She cares so much about my pups and always makes sure they get to go potty and play at the park on her visits. I also love how she makes sure the ground isn't too hot before walking them and keeping me updated through the day. She is also extremely responsive and never leaves me waiting. I wouldnt want anyone else walking my girls!

About: I have taken care of all ages and levels of need dogs and cats (as well as a broad range of other animals like goats, horses, reptiles, guinea pigs, etc). From puppies to senior dogs and cats as well as dogs with extensive medical needs. I can administer insulin/shots and have also given medication in pill and liquid form. Whatever level of care your beloved pet may need, I would love to help! I currently have open availability and can shift my routine to meet your schedule needs. I have a working car if needed for emergencies and I love going for walks. I’m happy to abide by any house rules you have for your space and any additional needs you may have. I send pictures/videos of your furry family member at least once a day and prefer to send them more often if you’re comfortable with that! Typically, I also do plant care as well if I am pet sitting in your home.

About: I’ve dog sat for friends and family since I was a teenager. I also have three dogs of my own and grew up with dogs my whole life, so I know dogs well. I’m currently working a part time job, and my college courses are very flexible! I have free time during the day and my shifts are short. I plan to keep them company as often as possible, feed them, bathe them (if necessary), and walk them. Whatever the clients preference is, I’ll oblige, no problem!

About: I grew up in a house hold where we always had some sort of four legged critters. From breeding to part of the family. I prefer four legged companion than 2. It's therapeutic to just chill with someone who just wants to be loved and played with. I've relocated to be closer to my mom. So I'm looking for work to pay my bills. I love animals, so why wouldn't this be an awesome way to make money and play with four legged critters. All care be done in the client's home. So pets are familiar with own surroundings and have a better experience with a random stranger, when it comes to caring for others four legged family member.

I'm retired, so I can easily work in walks, drop-ins, and sittings during my days. Most days I'm available after 10 A.M., but I'm flexible. I only do care at the pet parent's house, and I follow the guidelines the pet-parent sets because routines are important for consistency. I will always respect your home.

Ruth was amazing with our little puppy Simba. He is nervous around new people but immediately took a liking to her at the meet and greet. It's obvious she cares about dogs. She was very understanding of what we were looking for and has done a great job with him. Look forward to having her back to spend more time with Simba soon!

About: Hi, Im a Hillsborough County local and life long animal lover-dogs, cats and everything in between, big or small! Im a mom of two grown kids, which means my nest is empty and my schedule is wide open. No rigid 9-5 , no little ones to rush home to- just me, ready to give your pet the same love and attention I'd give my own. I've done many long house sits, moving right into your home to keep your pets routine steady while your're away, as well as wuick drop-in play dates for pets who just need a midday check-in, potty break, or cuddle session. Whether its a week-long trip or a same-day request, im almost always available and happy to work around your schedule. I treat every home and pet with care and respect-your pet gets consistency, company, and someone who genuinely enjoys being there. Reach out and lets set up a meet and greet! As an empty nester with a remote work schedule, i have flexibility most people don’t — extra time and a quiet house that make it easy to build pet sitting into my day without disrupting my job. Visits fit naturally around my existing routine, whether that’s a mid-morning break for snuggles between calls or an early evening walk. And since I’m home most hours anyway, pet sitting doesn’t feel like an added task — it becomes a welcome source of companionship and structure in a day that might otherwise feel a little too quiet. You can trust that your home and pets are in steady, capable hands — every visit happens on schedule, every task on your list gets done, and nothing falls through the cracks. Years of caring for animals of all kinds have taught me to read their individual needs, spot anything out of the ordinary, and act quickly if something seems off. I treat your home with the same respect and care I’d want for my own — doors locked, mail collected, and everything left exactly as I found it, so you can travel with real peace of mind.

About: I've had dogs and cats my entire life, so I genuinely understand what it means to care for them as part of the family. My professional background further strengthens this passion: I've worked as a kennel technician, a vet assistant, and I'm currently a vet tech. Plus, I have experience pet sitting, so I'm comfortable stepping into that role. This means I'm not just a dog lover, but also skilled in understanding canine behavior, providing proper care, and recognizing any health needs. Your dog's safety and well-being will always be my top priority. Working in the vet industry as a vet tech allows me to spend 4-5 days a week surrounded by adorable dogs and cats. And when I’m at home, I take great care of my own fur babies too. It's clear that my love and passion for animals shines through in everything I do! Your pets' safety and well-being will always be my top priority. When I'm caring for pets in a client's home, the focus is on maintaining their familiar routine and environment as much as possible. I'll come to your home for scheduled visits or overnight stays, making sure your dogs and cats stick to their usual feeding schedule, walks, playtime, and cuddle time. This minimizes stress for them. I also take care of other household tasks like bringing in mail, watering plants, and ensuring the house looks lived-in for security. Again, my vet tech experience means I'm adept at spotting any health concerns, administering medications, and providing a high level of observant, compassionate care. In both scenarios, regular communication with you, including updates and photos, is a priority so you always know your furry family members are happy and well cared for.

About: Over the past four years, I've gained extensive experience in caring for dogs. I've successfully rescued and trained Harley and temporarily fostered Snoop until finding him a loving home. It's rare for me to only have one dog in my household, as I'm often looking after a friend's dog when I'm not caring for a Rover dog. Harley and I thoroughly enjoy making new friends, especially when they're furry and four-legged. As someone who works from home, I have the flexibility and time to welcome new furry friends into my life. I am excited to offer my services for pet sitting, whether it's for dogs or cats. Your pets will receive all the attention and affection they deserve while you’re away. I can’t wait to connect with you and ensure that your pets have a fantastic experience. Let’s create some wonderful moments together—we'll have a great time! I have a spacious, fenced-in back patio that offers an inviting environment for dogs to move around freely and engage in playful activities. This area is perfect for them to stretch their legs, chase after toys, or simply relax in the sun. Additionally, there's a large fenced yard located nearby (you can check out the picture in the gallery), along with plenty of open green spaces that are ideal for enjoyable walks and playtime. I understand that each dog has its own preferences, whether they enjoy leisurely strolls around the neighborhood or prefer to stay close to home. I am committed to following your instructions and ensuring that your dog's needs are met. Under my attentive supervision, your furry friend will have the freedom to be active, explore their surroundings, and enjoy the outdoors in a safe and secure environment. For overnight stays, your dog will be accommodated in my cozy second bedroom, which is thoughtfully arranged with a comfortable daybed, a play mat, soft blankets, and a variety of toys to keep them entertained (picture in gallery) If you need any additional items or specific arrangements to make your pup feel at home, please don't hesitate to ask—I have various supplies available to ensure a delightful stay for your furry companion.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
