“We moved to New Albany this past Summer and left our most favorite pet sitter behind in Missouri. When we were traveling this Fall, we hit up Rover again hoping to find another great fit … and we hit the jackpot! Amber is a prize. We chose to reach out as Amber works as a veterinary assistant and has a wide skillset for caring for animals. It was important to us, just in case one of our fur-babies needs medications or special care in the future (or, if there was an emergency). We were very impressed with her maturity and kind demeanor. It is apparent from our few conversations, Amber is a lovely human being, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. She took to our kitties right away, and our cat who NEVER comes out for pet sitters made an appearance on day #3. Amber went above and beyond and photo-documented her visits in detail. She kept excellent tabs on what was happening around meals, litter boxes, and the like. When she was running about 15 minutes late, she sent us a text letting us know what was happening (we weren't worried). We returned home to 3 happy healthy kitties. He is extremely shy and nervous around new people and it takes him a long time to trust and recognize safe humans especially if mom and dad are not present. Olivia accommodated all of our requests and went by Emerson’s pace. She gave him space, while also talking to him and comforting him. Her communication was 10/10, she was always on time, extremely responsive, and gave us reassurance while we were out of state. We will continue to book her for our sitting needs. On top of her skills as a pet sitter, she is so warm, funny, personable, and caring. She asked all of the right questions at the meet and greet (including safety/emergency planning), and even left a pair of shoes and a sweatshirt so that Emmy could warm up to her scent a week before our booking time. Olivia went above and beyond to provide excellent care. About: I've had dogs my entire life. I have worked at dog boarding facilities and various rescues over the years. I am currently a volunteer with a local rescue in Lakeland. I have three small dogs of my own, who are like my kids. I’m home most of the time so your pet will rarely be unsupervised but when I do need to leave the house, I have steps and protocols in place to assure your pet's safety while I am away. I have a 6ft privacy fenced back yard. All lawn care items are locked away in a shed to lessen the risk of your pet getting into anything potentially toxic. I supervise feedings and separate dogs, if necessary. I can also administer oral medications.

I will walk with them around the Lake's, and engage them, by talking to them, so that they know they are loved by me. Thirdly, I do like to play catch and engage them in different games, so their time away from you will fly by for them. Lastly, I am not trained in the Heimlich for dogs, nor CPR, but I have had to do the Heimlich on my own dog, whom was choking on food, to save her life. I look forward to playing with your babies. “Megan went above and beyond for my pups. This was the first time that I’ve boarded my dogs, so I was extremely hesitant and toured a few major pet hotels in the area. When I saw Megan’s profile on Rover, I knew instantly it was the right choice. She sent me several updates throughout each day and provided many pictures and videos, which I really appreciated. I wanted to pick them up at an extremely late time, and she accommodated that as well. She sent my pups home smelling fresh with a new bandana and bow, plus some homemade treats. I was so impressed by her care and love for my babies. She is very attentive and answered all of my messages within minutes. When dropping them off, she double checked that they weren’t on any medication in case she needed to give them some. I would trust her any day and night and will plan on using her in the future ❤️”
“My dog stayed 4 nights with this family and I can tell that he enjoyed every second of it! Michelle and her husband live on property with a huge fenced in yard which was perfect for my dog Milano, and had much more space and room for him to run around than he would’ve had if I boarded him somewhere. Michelle and Jeffrey kept me up to date daily with pics, photos and information on how he was doing. I didn’t have to worry about how my dog was doing as they were very attentive and responsive to my messages. They are also super sweet and friendly, so it was very easy to communicate with them. There were several other dogs there also which was great for Milano seeing as in he is my only dog and doesn’t have much of a chance to interact with his dog friends very much. I will definitely use them again!”
