“100 stars for Christina, she provides amazing care and writes the best reviews of my cats’ shenanigans every time she sees them :) I have booked with Christina multiple times and know my cats are in great hands whenever I’m away. She is very communicative and observant; she even brought one of my little guys to the vet when he wasn’t feeling well. Can’t say enough good things—thank you Christina!”

“Tara was absolutely amazing with our extremely shy and untrusting cat. She kept us updated, sent pics, and even spent some extra time with our baby when she finally decided to come out to say hello. It’s pretty rare our cat comes out for someone other than my wife or me, so her appearance just proves Tara’s amazing energy and patience.”

“Jenna was super prompt and communicative, and took such good care of my two cats while I was away - took the time to play with them and sent great updates & photos. She's the best!”

“I was very happy with my overall experience with Rover. It was easy to set up and choose someone to care for my 2 cats when I was out of town. Nancy was great! She came when she said she would and gave me updates at each visit. When I came home, the house was so calm and peaceful. The cats were safe, fed and happy. I would definitely recommend Nancy and will use her again in the future. Thanks! :) Rose G.”

“Bryanna was a total lifesaver! We had to head into the city unexpectedly and needed a last-minute drop-in for our puppy. They were responsive, reliable, and took great care of her. Highly recommend!”

“Megen was wonderful with our senior dog. She is incredibly thoughtful and compassionate, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. On top of that, she is professional, reliable, and took immaculate care of our home. We couldn't ask for a better sitter!"”

About: I have a very special connection with all animals and will love and care for your pet as if it were my own! I have a lifetime of experience with cats and a few years of experience with dogs, namely raising and training my own dog from ~2 months old. He’s the sweetest, happiest pup and he is very loved! I work from home and have plenty of time to spend with your pet, whether that’s walking them, playing with them or bringing them to appointments!! I don’t have a fenced in yard but have plenty of space to walk and play with your dog outside (or inside!). I can crate the dog if necessary, and my puppy is extremely friendly and welcoming with new dogs!

“Jackie was a great sitter for our cat! She’s played with her and sent us a video everyday which helped us a lot as we were gone for a while and missed her so so much! We will definitely work with her again.”

“Angelique is one in a million. Since she came over do a meet, we immediately felt comfortable with her care and knowledge of dogs. My dog can be stand off ish and skiddish and I could tell he liked her right away. Throughout the booking, she was in communication and keeping us up to date on how our dog was doing. She truly cares for your pet like it’s her own. He got scared of fireworks and her care for him went above and beyond. Thank you so very much for the comfort and security to know he was in such great hands when we were away!! I was so impressed with the detailed notes and in just a few days she really genuinely knew him and his preferences, habits, and personality.”

“Daniela was very sweet to my pets. She was punctual, spent time with them and communicated well. Normally after a day or two away my dog is very depressed but when I got home he very upbeat and happy. I would definitely rebook.”

“Maritza was great with our cat, Mushki. She was consistent with showing up and with sending us pictures & short videos of our handsome guy! She did a great job caring for him while we were gone. I highly recommend her and look forward to rebooking her in the near future!”

“Kaitlyn was an awesome sitter for my cat for the 5 days I was away. She followed all of my instructions that I had and was great with the details and pics of her visits. I would 100% recommend her services. Thank you so much Kaitlyn for taking care of my fur baby! ?”

“We hired Kalyna for a home visit just to meet her and have her spend a little time getting to know our dog. Everything went great, and we hired her for a home visit next weekend. We look forward to working with her!”

About: Hi, I’m Breyalyn! Professional belly-rub giver, treat dispenser (with permission, of course), and full-time dog lover. As a proud dog mom to my spoiled girl Suzie, I know that dogs aren’t “just pets” - they’re family. Whether your pup is a zoomie champion, a professional squirrel investigator, or a couch potato who believes naps are a competitive sport, I’m happy to match their vibe. We’ll go on exciting walks, play their favorite games, and make sure they get all the love and attention they deserve. When your dog is with me, you can expect: 🐾 Tail-wagging walks and adventures 🎾 Playtime until someone needs a nap (probably me) 💛 Endless love, cuddles, and attention 📸 Plenty of photo updates because I know you’re going to miss them 🏡 Care that’s personalized to your dog’s routine and personality My goal is simple: make your dog feel like they’re on their own little vacation while giving you total peace of mind. So if your pup is looking for a new human friend who will love them almost as much as you do, I’d love to meet you both. Just don’t be surprised if they drag you back to my door next time—they tend to make themselves at home! 😊😂 I work from home, so I am home ALL day. I love to exercise and we have a fenced in yard for all of the playtime needed (a larger yard for a leashed walk). I’m always open to going for additional longer walks elsewhere Your pet’s safety is always going to be my priority. They will have a separate apartment area of the house (that I spend all of my time in). They will also have a fenced in yard. Food and water (treats if allowed) will be provided all day. My doggie will be kept separate unless otherwise agreed upon!

“Vicky is wonderful! She was very easy to work with and my little guy really enjoyed spending time with her and it was such a relief to know that my senior dog was being taken care of when he needed.”

About: Animals have always been the biggest part of my life. I've never met an animal who I didn't immediately love, no matter what species or size. I have spent my life learning to understand and communicate with animals to best meet their individual needs. The majority of my experience is in caring for animals with special needs and disabilities. I have an extensive background in animal care, including; veterinary student and technician, former volunteer coordinator & foster with the SPCA, current volunteer large animal caretaker, and much more. I am Pet CPR certified and I always carry a first aid kit, along with allergy friendly treats, a spare leash, and lots of poop bags. My goal is to give you and your pet a positive, stress-free experience that they will look forward to almost as much as they look forward to having you home. I am flexible and will always do everything in my power to accommodate requests made on short notice, emergencies, extended sitting stays, and even some holidays. I also offer the following amenities which can be added onto any existing pet service; light house cleaning, laundry, basic dog grooming, and basic dog training (these services are separate from Rover and do not appear as options, please inquire directly). I am also more than happy to accommodate other pets, and have extensive experience with all species of birds, rabbits, rats, guinea pigs, tortoises, turtles, fish, pigs, cows, and horses. I'm looking forward to meeting you and your furry, feathery, or fluffy family members! 🐾 Animal caretaking is my life, 24/7/365! I can make accommodations for emergencies or short notice when needed. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Gardnertown. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
