About: I’ve have taken care of pets before as I do have a dog myself and I have also looked over and cared for cats cause anytime family is away anytime I look over them. I’m currently in summer break from college and I been spending time with my dog and making sure he goes outside and I also have time to make appointments for him such as vet visits or showers. In my house we have a gate and we always the gate close so my dog doesn’t get out. I also have the a/c running most of the time so my dog could chill as summer is coming around the corner. I always make sure he has food and water.

They stayed at our apartment for two weeks and treated both our cat and our apartment with care. You could barely tell anyone had stayed there when we got back. About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by dogs of all sizes and breeds, from a beloved Cocker Spaniel to two Giant Schnauzers and later a Pit Bull. Each one helped shape my love and understanding of animals and taught me how unique every pet’s personality can be. Today, I’m the proud owner of a French Bulldog who keeps me on my toes and a pet snake, giving me experience caring for both traditional and exotic pets. I’ve also spent time around cats through friends and family and am comfortable caring for feline companions as well. While attending Ball State University, I volunteered at local animal shelters, helping care for animals and supporting their daily needs. About: I’ve lived with dogs my entire life. Everything from labs, adopted mutts, terriers, vizslas, poodles, goldendoodles, big, medium, and small. I have yet to meet a breed that I can't whisper to. While my profile on Rover is new, I have been walking and house-sitting dogs on the side for years, for neighbors in the area and a small network of family friends I've kept up since middle school. Additionally, I am a serious runner and regularly put in 20-30 miles a week. If you have a Vizsla, Greyhound, Weimaraner, or any other high-energy breed that needs a run to blow off some steam, please reach out! I’d love to take them out with me on the trails. Primarily, I serve the West Suburbs, West Loop, and North Side neighborhoods; I currently reside in the Oak Park area, and attend the UIC campus on Harrison and Halsted. Please note: To ensure the absolute best and safest care for your pup, I do require a quick Meet & Greet before accepting any first-time bookings Looking forward to hearing from you. I am currently in summer school at UIC, and will be in class from 8am to noon on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, so your dog would be alone for about 4 hours on those days. Before I leave, they will get a good walk, and when I'm back they'll spend the rest of the day with me doing homework, tutoring, or getting outside for a walk or run. I always treat every dog like my own. I make sure they are secure, comfortable, get all the pets and treats they need, and are never alone longer than necessary. You will also receive daily updates along the way, so you'll always know how they're doing.

“Where do I even begin? Kat was fantastic from our very first phone call where we talked for 45 minutes so that I could get to know her and she could hear about my two senior pups and all their quirks. We haven’t left our dogs with anyone in years because they have so many needs that it’s hard to leave. Their many, many medicines and beginnings of incontinence were no issue for Kat. I knew they were going to be in great hands. Kat gave our dogs so much attention and care— they were spoiled while she was here with bones, walks, baths, and cuddles. They were also rarely, if ever, left alone while they were in her care. She’s very attentive. Not only that— but she CLEANS. I can’t even begin to explain how grateful I was to come home to a home that was not only clean, but even cleaner than how we left it. With two older dogs and a toddler, it’s hard for me to find time to clean everything to the level I want. Kat deep cleaned things in my bathroom that have been on my to-do list for months (all unprompted)! Despite my telling her not to worry about cleaning the poop in the backyard (because we had gotten behind and hadn’t cleaned any of it during the winter), she cleaned all of it and our yard looked pristine. She did laundry in addition to everything that got dirtied by my dogs’ accidents. She’s easy to work with and will take amazing care of your pets and home. I can’t recommend her enough!”
