“Shaina watched our cat for us. She took wonderful care of him, with lots of detailed updates and photos of each visit. She went above and beyond in cleaning up after him and was respectful of our home. We will book with her again in the future and recommend her to anyone in need of a pet sitter.”

“Erin did an amazing job caring for our kitten. She was attentive, friendly, and kind. She provided excellent care for our little kitty and even went out of her way to take care of her. We would highly recommend Erin for anyone else and would happily ask her to help support our kitten in the future if needed.”

“We are repeat customers of Ashleigh and John!! They go above and beyond for our pets. We can tell they really care about them!! Our trip was over the Fourth of July and they took special care to make sure our dog was comforted during the fireworks. 100% recommend these awesome pet sitters!”

“Isak was great! He agreed to check on Darin with short notice, and communicated quickly. He followed instructions, treated our home with care and from the pictures he sent, it looks like Darin had a blast with him! ☺️”

“Sarah was very helpful, communicative, and friendly. She made our new puppy happy and comfortable despite him being afraid of most things. She also communicated anything that was out of the norm for our puppy and asked questions when needed.”

“Lexie is great! She was able to take care of our puppy last minute and was so kind, communicative, and gave us so much peace of mind to leave him with her. It’s obvious she really loves animals. We are super grateful for an awesome sitter!”

About: Animals are my passion. I’ve taken care of many different types of dogs/cats of different ages and sizes. Through my years of experience, it’s easier to coax the most timid of animals into being my buddy. I like to learned and study what each animal needs or wants! So they are the most comfortable with me and on walks. I can check on animals mornings, midday through the afternoon and night. I’m free most weekends so any overnight stays would be fine with me. I would traditionally prefer animals to be in their own home. I know it can be stressful enough for an owner to leave their animals so I’d like for them to be the most comfortable in their own home.
“I 110% recommend Malia!!! She was kind, trustworthy, and incredibly good with my kitty Dandelion. Dandelion loved her instantly and I can tell Malia has an excellent way with animals. I am so happy to have found her! :)”

“Joybhad a marvelous first time with Lexi! Totally put our mind at ease while we are out for the day. Can't wait to reconnect with Lexi the next time we need a hand with our pup!”

About: I've taken care of dogs for over a decade from high energy (I have a border collie) to low energy (I also have a shih tzu), elderly, and everything in between. I'd love to make your dog's day by taking them on a walk or giving them an incredible play time. Same goes for your cats! Whether your pets love activity or simply want someone to watch them sniff in the backyard or hang on the couch, I'd love to bring a highlight to their day. Right now, Friday nights through Sunday are the times I have completely free to dedicate to helping take care of your pets. I'm hoping to add more times soon and options to board. As someone who searches for hours to find the right person to watch my pets, I know how hard it can be to trust someone new to take care of your fur family. Whether it's pictures, reassuring texts, following your instructions exactly, or all 3 I will do my best to make your pets as happy and healthy as possible. I offer drop in visits and walks, so please let me know what you are and aren't comfortable with and I will make sure they are well cared for while giving you as many updates as you'd like!
About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I currently have one fun-loving 3-year-old dog and four rescue cats (ages 8, 5, 1, and 8 months)—two of whom quite literally showed up at my doorstep and never left. So yes… I’m that kind of pet person. I have experience with large and small dogs, seniors, and pets with special needs. I’m comfortable following special diets and giving medications, including pills and eye/ear drops, and I always stick closely to your routines and instructions. Whether your pet needs calm and patient care or something more active and outdoorsy, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I offer long and short walks as well as drop-in visits. I do have limits on dogs over 100 lbs and adult dogs with known aggression or serious reactivity, just to keep everyone safe. Cats are very much my comfort zone, and I’m confident with all kinds of feline personalities. I’m also happy to care for other land animals during drop-ins if needed. I work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be reliable, responsive, and consistent. I love taking photos of your best friend and sending updates so you never have to wonder how things are going. Why choose me? 🐾 Lifelong dog & cat experience (plus rescue life!) 💊 Comfortable with meds, special diets & senior pets 📸 Plenty of photo updates & clear communication 🕒 Flexible, work-from-home schedule ❤️ Calm, attentive, and genuinely obsessed with animals My goal is simple: happy pets and total peace of mind for you. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I currently work remotely, which gives me plenty of flexibility and dedicated time for your pets. I’m available for walks and drop-ins during the week with flexible hours. Because I already structure my days around caring for my own dog and cats, adding extra walks, playtime, and check-ins feels seamless—not rushed. Your pet will always get my full attention. Safety and trust are my top priorities. In your home, I follow your pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, walk preferences, medications, and house rules. I take time to read each pet’s body language and adjust care based on their comfort level. For walks, I use secure leashes and pay close attention to surroundings. I keep communication clear and consistent, and I always send updates and photos so you know your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.
“Jen has been taking great care of our big puppy. She is super dependable and has even helped with things without us having to ask. Example: on a really windy day she brought our trash can and recycling bin into our garage...a really small thing but a huge gesture and help. Would definitely recommend Jen.”

“We were so thankful that Rachel was able to check in on our cats during our vacation. Rachel responded quickly to the request. During the meet and greet she asked great questions so she could learn more about our cats. When she cared for them she was attentive to their needs, checked the litter box and even brought in a package:)”

“Jaden was great with our 1 year old lab. Lola is very energetic and when I got him from work she was fast asleep on the couch after a mile long walk. Jaden sent updates and has been very flexible with our schedule.”

About: I have had dogs my entire life and every single one of them has had a piece of my heart! I presently have two senior dogs and one three-year old, who probably feels as passionately about dogs as I do! I have also lived with, loved, and taken care of several cats over the last 13 years. Growing up, I was responsible for taking care of my family’s lizards and frogs. I presently am able to control my own schedule and can make myself available for any last-minute or unexpected pet care needs that you may have. Currently, my only blocked off time for certain is Wednesdays from 5:30pm-9:30pm In my home, I have a fenced in yard to ensure that outside time is safe and fun. If you do not have a fenced in space but are still looking for your pup to have some outdoor time, I always ensure a leash is used to keep them safe. I have successfully used components of behavior analysis to build trust and confidence in my own dogs, while also ensuring that I understand their own behavioral cues to prevent stress in new or different situations. This includes shaping behaviors, frequent reinforcement, and pairing with new dogs to demonstrate that I am a safe person in their environment. Should transportation ever need to occur, I have a seat belt that clips to any standard harness as well as a seat cover that prevents climbing over the center console. I have a number of 6-foot leashes as well as 2 30-foot leashes to allow for safe running in open spaces, and an expandable 10-foot leash.

About: I have two dogs and trust me they are a handful. I am used to walking and feeding them frequently. I have dog sat for many family friends and have had experiences with all types of dogs. Also I’m not shy to show love to any dog I see I am a recent college graduate, and I’ve moved back home and looking for some income till I start my new job. I have an open schedule, but I do prefer morning and early afternoon I love to be around the animals and will make them feel loved. I have experience with all sizes of dogs. I am able to have animals trust me and be on they’re level
“Trustable, dependable, friendly, competent, compassionate, knowledgeable. Zania is everything one would want in a pet sitter. My babies were loved and didn’t even notice that I was gone!”

About: I’ve always been the go-to friend/family member to pet-sit since I was younger! I have a cat named Kitty but I love dogs too! I’m looking to drop in mostly during the evenings to play with, feed, and walk but I’m available to overnight pet sit Thursday - Saturday. I’m a renter with already one cat, I can’t have any other pets in my home but I’m more than willing to come to your house where your pet is already comfortable!
“I am so glad that Taylor was available again. As we have used Taylor before it was so easy for her to step in and take care of the family cats. The cats and house were well taken care of.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Fruitville
Shaina did a wonderful job taking care of our cat while we were on vacation! She arrived exactly when scheduled for each visit and sent lots of photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She even cleaned up a few hairball messes without hesitation, which we really appreciated. It was clear she genuinely cared about our cat and our home. We would absolutely book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful pet sitter!

Shaniece and Andrew are amazing pet sitters — incredibly professional and conscientious. We loved the detailed reports and photos / videos after each visit. Our super shy, elusive cat even came out to say hi and get some cuddles. I can be a nervous Nelly about our fur-babies and felt completely at ease knowing they were in excellent hands. We would recommend Shaniece and Andrew to anyone and will absolutely seek out their services again in the future for our 3 cats!

Alyssa was a wonderful cat sitter for my daughter’s cat! Her cat needed meds twice during the week and she was able to get her to take them. Huge accomplishment which helped Poppy cat have a healthy week while we were gone! We’ll definitely hire Alyssa again if the need arises! Thank you!!!!

Erin did an amazing job caring for our kitten. She was attentive, friendly, and kind. She provided excellent care for our little kitty and even went out of her way to take care of her. We would highly recommend Erin for anyone else and would happily ask her to help support our kitten in the future if needed.

I’ve had a great experience with Maya! Both of my cats are very anxious and easily frightened, but she was incredibly patient and attentive with them. She made sure they were eating, comfortable, and well cared for during every visit. I especially appreciated the photo updates, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that she genuinely cared about my cats and took the time to earn their trust. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate pet caregiver.
Susan was absolutely wonderful with our dog this weekend. He can be a bit difficult and has separation anxiety, but she handled him with so much patience and calm. She kept us updated, followed all instructions, and made sure he felt safe and cared for. We could tell he was happy and relaxed when we came back, which says a lot. Highly recommend Susan - she truly has a gift with animals

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
