About: I’ve been pet sitting on and off for the last twenty years. I have two dogs with disabilities, a deaf cattle dog and an anxious sharpei-boxer with GI issues. I understand dogs and connect easily with many kinds of animals. I’m comfortable giving medications and working with reactive/anxious animals. My work is remote, freelance, and very part-time. My schedule is very relaxed and open. I prefer to spend time with my pets or others’ pets. When I enter a clients home I’m there for the animals. I’m mindful and respectful of their property and space. If I’m there for a walk, I’ll get the pup harnessed up and ready to go as soon as possible, according to the needs of the dog. If I’m there for a drop-in I’ll make sure I do what I’m there to do.

About: Along with being the go-to petsitter and dog walker for my neighbors, friends, and family, I have professional pet care experience through Gochenauer Pet Resort as a kennel attendant, dog walker, and playtime supervisor. I have learned through both experience and training courses such as Dog Handler Academy. I work evenings, so morning and daytime pet care is ideal for me. The more time I spend around animals, the happier I am, so I am hoping to fill as much free time as possible with pet time. I am unable to use my home to house pets (as my own cat is uncomfortable with other animals) but I am happy to come to your house and meet your pets where they are.

Emily watched our two cats for a week, and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. Between a sick baby at home, a few last-minute schedule changes, and me accidentally mixing up the dates, I definitely didn't make things easy on her. Through it all, Emily was incredibly professional, understanding, flexible, and communicative. Most importantly, she took wonderful care of our two girls while we were away. She kept us updated, gave us complete peace of mind, and treated our home with the same care she gave our pets. We came home to two happy cats and a house that was exactly as we had left it. We would absolutely book with Emily again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring pet sitter. Alyra was great! I accidentally had the wrong address associated with my Rover account. Alyra promptly sent me a message notifying me of this error and went to the other (correct) address. Luna was so spoiled by Alyra! I got photos after every visit and Alyra was very communicative about my little girl!
Omari was too good with our home and our two cats. She has a great bedside manner and sense of empathy which is the main trait you need to love animals and help them feel safe and loved. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
