“Amy was a pleasure to work with! She stayed over to take care of Hanz and Richard like they were her own. She tidied up the house too 😊 She sent pictures and videos of the pets while I was away and it made me so happy to see that both my boys were relaxing and having fun with her. Thank you so much Amy!”

“Bryce was FANTASTIC with my dog Larry!! Larry was a rescue and is definitely afraid of a lot of things and people, and has some attachment issues. Bryce broke right through those and the two were buddies by the end of the first day! He's so kind and compassionate, and followed my instructions to a T on how to care for Larry, and sent updates and pictures every step of the way! I will 100% call Bryce again the next time we go out of town.”

“Khalaya is a very sweet person and took excellent care of my two dogs and cat. This was the first time I've hired someone to come take care of my animals, but she put me at ease when I met her. My dogs were excited to meet her and I felt comfortable leaving them with her for the weekend. She sent me pictures and a video of them while we were gone and they looked relaxed. I'm surprised my cat came out to meet her, but there's photographic evidence that she did! When we returned, our animals were happy and well cared for. They were happy to see us, but there is no doubt in my mind that they enjoyed getting tons of attention while we were away. I would absolutely have her back the next time we travel! Thank you Khalaya!”

About: I've pet sat since 2014, I've taken good care of their pets for my family and friends.I have a wealth of knowledge of all breeds and love to spoil and play with dogs and cats. I'm looking to work as a full time as a dog walker or pet sitter. I have an open and flexible schedule to provide the best care. I have a questionnaire that helps me learn your pets needs so that I'm ready to step in and make vacations or work days easy on your pet(s).
“Victoria is fantastic!!! My dog has some medical issues going on and Victoria did a great job of watching her and following all the directions. She’s professional and you can tell she really cares about animals. I highly recommend her to take care of your family pet.”

“Robert was wonderful! Our youngest (and smallest) girl is very apprehensive about men but within 10 minutes of meeting Robert, she was already putty in his hands. 😍 We are very protective of our girls but we felt completely at ease leaving them in Robert’s loving hands. They were happy and content when we returned home and it was obvious they were very well cared for. Thank you, Robert, for giving us peace of mind when we can’t be with our babies!”

“Crystal was absolutely outstanding during her four-night stay caring for my dog, fish, shrimp, and home. My dog required extra attention—he had to wear a cone and needed regular eye drops—and Crystal handled it all with patience, care, and total competence. It gave me real peace of mind knowing he was in such capable hands. She also went the extra mile to reposition my battery-operated Ring camera so I could watch him napping around the house. On top of that, Crystal cared for my four aquariums (not a small job!) and followed my detailed list of instructions perfectly. Everything was clean, organized, and exactly as I left it. Beyond her reliability, Crystal is simply a joy to work with—sweet, funny, and clearly a true animal lover. It’s obvious she genuinely cares about the pets she looks after. I highly recommend Crystal without hesitation. She went above and beyond, and I would absolutely trust her again.”

“Gabrielle was great! She stayed at our house for a whole week and looked after my 2 Great Danes and chickens. She texted daily updates with pictures. Pups were happy and house was left exactly how we left it. I will definitely use Gabrielle again!!”

“Hands down, Guinevere has been the best dog sitter we’ve ever had. She responded in a very timely manner, kept us updated on how our three dogs were doing and sent many pictures. Two of our dogs normally go on a hunger strike when we leave, but this was no problem with Guinevere there. She even won over our crabby dog! House was left cleaner than when we left. We’re excited to book with Guinevere again in the near future.”

“Ebony was very wonderful to work with. She was very caring and kind and conscientious and willing to help us in anyway with any little request that we had when she stayed with our kids (our dogs😉) while we were away. She sent us a great amount of pictures and diaries of the day which is great for a pet parent to receive while they’re away. I cannot say enough good things about Ebony and I highly, highly recommend her to take care of any of your pets . We will be contacting Ebony again… if she’s not too busy😊”

“Gia is amazing! She’s communicative and on top of everything. She made us feel 100% comfortable that our dogs were being well-taken care of while we were away in another country. She’s top-notch!”

“M.L. was amazing! She gave me regular updates on everything and took wonderful care of my border collie mix. She was also super proactive whenever she noticed anything going on with her or in the house as well. I'll definitely be looking to book with her again in the future!”

“Kaylynne watched my 2 dogs for an overnight stay. She was great and I could tell my dogs were happy when we returned. I would definitely book Kaylynne again and recommend to anyone who is looking for a sitter!”

“We are so happy we found Brittni to watch our pets over the holiday weekend! She was eager to help during a last minute booking, was very responsive, and we came home to happy pets that were well taken care of while we were away. We will definitely book her again for future trips. Thank you Brittni!!”

About: I have had dogs for 30+ years and have cared for many as well. I have experience with giving medications & details regarding special needs. I have some training experience as well. I don’t work full time, therefore I have a fairly flexible and spare of the moment availability. I do travel occasionally, and will post that information. I do not have space to care for your pets in my home, however I can give lots of love and attention in your home/yard walking, playing, etc.
About: I grew up with dogs all my life and nothing excites me more than looking over your fur babies. I'm very responsible in assuring that your pets are well taken care of and their necessities are being met. I am employed Full-time but as most people, I do have the weekends off. My fiancé and I have opposite schedules so someone is always home! My schedule coordinates just well with our fur babies because if I'm not home, my significant other is. We have a fenced yard where your fur babies can enjoy the outdoors or run around. We have two Australian shepherds that are very energetic and love to play! Per request, your pet could be crated if asked.

Amelia was an absolute life saver, my dogs loved her and she knows how to handle tough walkers! Highly recommend her for anyone with difficult dogs! 5 out of 5 stars. Bonus is she will teach you alot about health food and how to be a smarter consumer with eco friendly products! Definitely will be using her again and again. Very communicative throughout the entire process and stay.

Crystal stayed with my dog and cat for a week while I recovered from surgery. She did a great job, sent frequent photos and updates, and walked Tucker several times each day. This allowed me to recover without worrying about my pets. The dog warmed up to Crystal right away. Sammy the cat, however, tends to be aloof and Crystal said he was friendly only at dinner time. Now that I have found Crystal I’m going to think about some vacation time after I fully recover.
This was our first trip away on vacation and leaving the dogs for any extended time. Amy went above and beyond to keep us reassured with daily updates, pictures and videos! When we returned home, they were both so relaxed and comfortable! Amy prepared special healthy treats, and their diet and meds were given per instructions! She spent so much time playing with the dogs! Our dogs were so happy and our home was clean! We truly could not have enjoyed ourselves without her care for our pups! We will book her again soon! *****

We had such a wonderful experience with Sarah! Our cat is very shy and usually takes a long time to warm up to people, but she was so patient, gentle, and caring throughout the stay. The regular photo updates meant so much to us and really helped us relax while we were away. It was clear our cat felt safe and comfortable in her care, which is not easy to achieve with a shy cat. We came home to a happy, well cared for cat and a house that was just as we left it. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a warm and trustworthy house sitter.

Monique helped me out when I was in a pinch and had another sitter cancel on me day-of to watch my dog. She came by to meet him and was super friendly and helpful! She sent daily updates and was friendly to work with. I’ll definitely book her in the future!

Alexis did a fabulous job with taking care of Moose while we were away for the past week. She sent us updates throughout the week and pictures to ensure that everything was going well. Moose always does better when he can stay in his surroundings, so we are so appreciative of Lexi staying here with him. We will most definitely be reaching back out to Lexi for future visits.

Melanie was fantastic! She watched our dogs for a weekend, and while traveling we never had a question about whether they were safe and well cared for. She confirmed in advance, sent lots of pictures and updates, and was responsive whenever we had questions. I would highly recommend her.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Freemansburg walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Freemansburg maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Freemansburg choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
