“So amazing! Very accommodating and attentive and willing to keep in touch with you. I felt very comfortable leaving my dogs, knowing they would be well taken care of.”

About: Animals have been a big part of my life since I was 10 years old. I grew up with a lot of cats and am currently a cat owner. I spent a lot of time caring for my grandfather's German Shepherds growing up, and later looked after dogs all sizes for the families I worked for as a nanny. Flexible on Wednesdays, Fridays and occasional weekends. I will travel to the city but at an extra cost & travel fee. I am able to watch animals at my house but it is small so I’d rather do over nights at owners place when it comes to multiple dogs. If you have a fenced in yard I’ll play fetch with them and tire them out and give them good scratches and snuggles before I leave. If you do not have a fenced in yard there are plenty of dog parks in the area.

“Maribella is awesome! She is prompt, responds quickly to requests, reliable and all with her polite Southern charm. We are so happy to have found her for our Sherlock, our rescue beagle that has severe separation anxiety—not welcome when living in a condo. Mirabella calmed him down, walked him to relieve his anxiety, so when we arrived home he was happily chomping on a treat. Thanks Maribella for giving us the time to enjoy our beach yoga.”

People who are very wary of strangers in their homes have trusted me and were able to take a much needed vacation. I am so happy to be able to fufill this role. Please read the testimonials for more details about the individual pets I have cared for over the years. I am new to Rover, however I have been doing this for a very long time. I only take a limited amount of clients so can can provide the high level of care and attention your pet deserves. If you are looking for a trusted, dependable sitter I am confident you will be happy with the care I provide. Please contact me if you would like to schedule a meet and greet. I have a very flexible schedule (afternoons and evenings are ideal) Since I do not work a 9-5 I am confident we can arrange the time you need sitting. I am only a drop in and stay over sitter. “We are so excited that we found Melanie, we were able to leave our Enzo and know he was well taken care of. We received photos and videos to keep us updated which really helped us with our separation anxiety. We hope Enzo and Melanie will become BF! Definitely recommend!”

About: I am a long-time pet sitter with experience with both dogs and cats, puppies and elder dog care, and medication administration. I am patient, responsible, and playful, with extensive experience with overnight stays and dogs of all sizes. I aim to earn and keep the trust of every animal I care for and make them feel safe and loved. I am a student with a personal client list of pets that I care for and am always clear on my time commitments to ensure the pets I visit have my dedicated attention and their owners feel safe. I am an early riser that keeps a clean and safe environment for your pet. I ensure that I stick to the pet’s schedule as per the owner’s instructions and provide timely feedings, walks, and of course, cuddles and playtime.

About: I’ve owned a small dog since 2017 and have been taking care of many different kinds of dogs since I was around 11 years old. I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes and personalities through family, friends, and neighbors, including medium and large breeds. I’ve also dog sat and walked regularly, so I’m comfortable handling different routines and energy levels. What sets me apart is my reliability and my ability to read dog body language. I pay close attention to how dogs are feeling and adjust to their needs, whether they’re playful, anxious, or more laid-back. Animals tend to trust me quickly, and I make sure every dog I care for feels safe, comfortable, and well taken care of. Pet care fits into my daily and weekly routine alongside school and my part-time job. I’m doing this to gain even more hands-on experience with animals because it’s something I genuinely enjoy. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and sitting around my schedule, and I make sure to only accept bookings I can fully commit to. I also volunteer at an animal shelter, which has given me additional experience working with different types of animals and temperaments. Because of this, caring for pets is already a regular part of my life, and I’m used to balancing responsibilities while still giving animals the time, attention, and care they deserve. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. For dog walking, I make sure each walk matches the dog’s energy level, whether that’s a quick potty break or a longer, more active walk. I pay close attention to their behavior and surroundings to keep them safe at all times. For pet sitting, I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications if needed, and any specific care routines. I spend quality time with pets so they feel comfortable and not alone, whether that’s playing, relaxing with them, or just being present. I’m also very respectful of my clients’ homes, keeping everything clean and secure. I’m reliable, communicative, and make sure to provide updates so owners feel confident their pets are in good hands.
About: As a lifelong pet owner with years of hands-on experience, I know how much your furry family members mean to you. I specialize in creating a calm, loving environment, especially for dogs and cats who get a little nervous or anxious. Whether it's a leisurely walk or a cozy day of companionship, your pet will feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. I treat every animal like my own, because that's the only way I know how I currently do not work and I would like to use this time to bond with pets and make lasting connections. I enjoy this type of activity and should be open most days of the week. I am meticulous and always follow all directions. I have gotten some pretty thorough briefings on pets before and then glowing reviews afterward. Pets feel safe and comfortable with me and I’m happy to provide extra reassurances to the pet parents as well.
About: Hello! I worked at Dogs on The Farms Pet Hotel for almost a year and since leaving continued pet sitting and enjoying being around fur babies! I also used to volunteer at my local animal shelter as a foster parent until I failed and adopted my dog! I am currently a student and only working part time due to my schedule. I am always around and accept most dog sitting and walking gigs I get! I do not bring dogs into my own home due to my own fur baby. I have slept and transported dogs to other house and have been provided with a key. When sleeping at other houses I obey there rules and put blankets in the wash and leave the place as clean as when they left it!
“Olivia has been great with my goldendoodle. She helps my out a few times a week while I am at work. I don’t trust many people with my baby and I trust her! Not only am I happy with her but my girl LOVES her. It is a great feeling knowing that your dog is in good hands. It is such a relief to have found her to help me out.”

“Hunter did a great job with our two dogs and was very responsive to our “visit” service request, did a meet and greet with us earlier this past week and executed on our the agreed to services . Very reliable, pleasant and mature. We received updates and photos on each visit. Hunter is highly recommended.”

“Jennifer is our first walker for our very co-dependent pandemic pup, and she made the whole experience effortless and comfortable. Looking forward to leaving our pup in her care again soon!”

As of June 2026, there are 381 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Fort Hancock. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
