Good with being an advocate and dealing with dogs who are more shy and nervous as I have a shy/nervous dog myself. I will be intentional about the care and support your pet needs. I currently have a very flexible work schedule and will be able to fit to most schedules in terms of the family and pet needs. Though we won’t host any pets at our home, I will make sure I have a full understanding of your expectations and needs when taking care of your favorite family member.

About: Hi, I'm Stephanie. I have a passion for all animals and have 14 years experience living with and taking care of cats and 2 years of experience taking care of dogs. I've had up to 4 animals of my own at one time-3 cats and 1 dog and love the energy they bring to the home. I have worked at the local Humane Society doing cat socialization and playing kitty matchmaker to their forever humans. I can't wait to meet your furry family members! I work non traditional hours which gives me extra time especially in the mornings to spend getting to know your pet. I can drop on both mornings and evenings. I like to get to know my clients first and find out what their pets daily routines are, that way I can keep the routine going for the animals to keep their stress levels low.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since 2012. I have pet sit dogs of all sizes (some requiring special medication and extra care). I’ve also cat sat for drop-byes as well as overnight. I can change and clean litter boxes, scoop dog poop, vacuum, or anything else regarding animal cleaning necessities. I had dogs my entire childhood and lived with cats during college. I love to walk dogs, practice tricks, and play fetch. I am a substitute teacher currently, so my evenings are free as well as most of the summer. I only have two trips planned, otherwise I am local and eager to help. I would so appreciate having a purpose this summer and being able to provide some for my family as subs don’t get paid during the summer. I would care for pets at the client’s home. Depending on their needs, I would allow the dogs freely outside in a fenced yard or take them on leashed walks around their neighborhood. I would also happily take dogs to the dog park if the owner was comfortable with this and felt this was a safe space for their animal. Depending on distance, this could be via walking or in a car. When I wasn’t at the client’s house, I would have the animals kenneled or freely roaming depending on owner preference. I will ensure no cleaning products or toxic items are left out. I will also ensure water is always refilled.

Walks, cuddles, feeding, meds; I’ve got it covered! It’s just me and my two teenagers in the house - they are 17 and 19 and both have their own cars so I rarely see them! They’ve grown up around having a dog, and continually pressure me to have another one 😵‍💫 We had a bully breed mix, Celine Dion who sadly passed from old age in 2019. She had diabetes towards the end of her life, so I’m familiar with giving medication/shots if necessary. Since then we’ve regularly looked after our friends’ dogs until we fostered Simba in 2024 - we had him for 10 months until he was adopted. Because of having family in England, I want to be able to travel there frequently so am not ready to have a permanent dog again yet, but I LOVE having dogs come and stay with me when my calendar allows. I work from home so have flexibility in my routine and am always available for my visitors’ needs. I like to take a morning walk, and an evening one too. I’m not away from home often. I have a fully fenced yard and my neighborhood has beautiful walking trails, that I use whether I am walking a dog, or just walking alone. I’ve fostered rescue dogs and have experience of high anxiety dogs. I’m 6 feet tall and strong, and my last foster was great with people but not so much with other dogs we met on our walks, so I’m used to avoiding them, if necessary! I am happy to send photos to you whilst your dog is in my care, and will communicate with you as frequently as you would like.
