About: I’ve spent years caring for my own dogs and fostering many dogs for local rescues, learning to manage everything from picky eaters to senior pets with mobility issues and other various medical needs. I’m confident with special-needs pets, unusual animals, and complicated routines—and I’ll care for every animal with patience, attentiveness, and kindness. I work a standard 8 am - 4 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. I am available to care for boarded animals in the morning before I leave and in the evenings when I return from work in those days, with the same diligence and love I give my own animals. For all other days, I am either off or working from home and I am generally available to provide care. If I am visiting your home, I would like to have a meet and greet with you and your animals before you head out of town to establish their normal schedules and routines. During appointments, I will give your animals the same love and care that I give my own. If you are scheduling to have an animal boarded, your animal(s) will be given their own room separate from other animals in the house, with direct access to a large, fenced-in yard, their own beds and towels, and constant access to water. Walks, treats, meals, and medications will be given on an agreed upon schedule. Potty breaks will occur no less than once in the morning, once before and after dinner, and once before bedtime. I do not accept outside bedding and all guests must be up to date on vaccines and treated for fleas and ticks prior to boarding.
About: I grew up with multiple pets, including two cats in my childhood and a wonderful dog that I helped care for in her seniority, so I've been familiar with animals all my life. Currently, I own and aided in training a high-maintenance, special needs German Shepherd. He's a sweetheart, but he's definitely a commitment! Given his intensely anxious nature, he needs a patient hand to calm him often. He's also epileptic, so I am well practiced in attentiveness, administering medication, following specialized meal plans and the like if needed. I have also done pet and house sitting on many occasions, particularly for family and friends but for a wide variety of pets– from little dogs that didn't even reach my knee, to my own Shepherd, who stands just about as tall as my hip. I've house kept for up to a week, entertaining young dogs and going on daily walks, etc. I am always happy to be introduced to new little ones and have a high pain tolerance when it comes to their claws, so I don't mind when they get a bit rowdy, either! High energy or low, I will gladly make time for any fluffy friends who need a watchful eye. I am currently on track to earn a Bachelor's in the Arts from Towson University, which is about a 50 minute commute from my home. With this in mind, my current class schedule entails that Towson days are essentially unavailable; however, the rest of the week, I'm generally left plenty of room to take on pet care! Life is always busy, and while sometimes I wind up with too many commitments to do it regularly, I'll always make time for it when I can. Though my own home may not be an ideal place for another pet to spend nights due to my Shepherd's nervousness, I will gladly offer my time to visit others. I have previously found myself curled up on a couch with a pet I was taking care of overnight, or even falling asleep on the floor with them. So long as their pet parents are happy for me to do so, I will gladly stay wherever is most comfortable for the pet involved, and take food/water/sleeping arrangements where they are best suited. I also have a fair sense of direction, so I'm perfectly content on walks in unfamiliar places, especially when I have friendly doggos with me!
About: I have had pets since I was 8 years old, different breeds mostly my own but have taken care of neighbors and family. pets I have taken care of all different kinds of breeds and sizes. She also kept me appraised of a couple of instances where she had to make visits outside of the normal visit time frames, due to circumstances beyond her control and she also made sure to leave out extra food when the time between visits would be longer than normal. Jaime is a wonderful, caring pet sitter! We really believe she is a cat whisperer! Not just because she is so attentive to our 3 rescue cats, but we were amazed our cat Fearless who suffers from PTSD actually came out (he usually hides from everyone) and she was able to pet him and give him pet treats! Even our skittish cat Rudy let her pet him. Our siamese Louie, who loves everybody, languished in her attention. The pictures we recieved from Jaimee while she did her drop ins and her texts and communications with us made us feel happy and relaxed that we left our boys in good hands and could enjoy our time away. But the response our kitties had towards her truly amazed us. She really has a way with cats for sure! This was our first time using Rover and it did not disappoint!
